In contrast to Alan's emotional response, Gordon, who was behind, was completely stunned and stiff!

He thought that Darius was already assuredly dead!

It was obvious how shocked he was!

Earlier, looking at how the Hughes and the Thompsons were about to fight each other, they thought that they would be able to take advantage of the situation!

Yet, Darius, who was supposed to have been killed by Leon, miraculously returned from the dead at the most important moment!

It foiled all their plans!

The hope that ignited in their hearts was extinguished without any mercy!

"Darius, so what Yuri said was true! You have been saved!"

Dawn was ecstatic when she saw that Darius was safe and sound. That earlier anger and hatred she seemed to have completely disappeared1

Right after that, she hurriedly let the experts from the Hughes over toward Alan and Darius!

Only Gordon was left there. He stood in place unmoving!

Only by leaving would he be able to escape. At worst, he could just change his name and leave the Southern region!

It was far better than dying!

"Grandfather, hurry up and capture Gordon. Don't let him run away…" Darius said with a cough. He was incredibly angered when he saw what Gordon was doing.

However, he was too emotional and his body was too weak. Before he could finish explaining, he had a coughing fit.

Since he did not know that Gordon was the one who poisoned Darius, he was a bit confused. He could not understand what Darius was saying.

Thankfully, Yuri reacted very quickly. He already heard about Gordon from Leon, so he immediately focused on Gordon!

Looking at Gordon trying to run away, there was no way he would allow it!

"Gordon, you despicable and sinister man! Don't even try to run!" Yuri shouted out. With a twist, he quickly ran after the fleeing Gordon.

After that, he struck out with imperious force at Gordon's back!

Gordon looked shocked.

He was only in the intermediate Overlord State, while Yuri was already in the intermediate Emperor State. Yuri was far stronger than he was!

He was no match for Yuri at all!

With danger looming, he turned and tried to avoid Yuri's attack!

However, he was just too much weaker and slower than Yuri. Even though he quickly tried to avoid the attack, he failed to completely escape that strike!

With a loud explosion, he was sent flying by Yuri. He slammed into one of the cars in front before he slumped to the ground.
