He went into hiding because he needed time to produce more Reaper’s Breath to defeat the Dragon Guards and rob the Tiddertons of the motherwort.

However, the poisonous plants he used for the Reaper’s Breath were rare and it was challenging to produce them by mass.

He burnt through all his stock in the past two days and only ended up with three flasks of Reaper’s Breath.

Since he already obtained the motherwort as he intended, the Poisonwielder wanted to leave and did not wish to waste the precious Reaper’s Breath on the Dragon Guards, but Leon's attack with the poisonous daggers completely enraged him.

After being chased and attacked by the Dragon Corps repeatedly, he developed a deep grudge against the Dragon Corps, so he changed his mind and decided to eliminate Leon and the others at all costs to teach the Dragon Corps a lesson.

Not holding back any longer, the Poisonwielder tossed all three flasks of Reaper’s Breath toward Leon and the others.

Instantly, the courtyard was filled with the poisonous powder and it was too late for Leon and the other Dragon Guards to back away.

"Everyone, swallow your Essential Detox Pills!" Seeing how the majority of the Dragon Guards fell victim to the poison, Leon immediately shouted and took out an Essential Detox Pill, before swallowing it as well.

Scott, Fletcher, and the others snapped out of it and immediately took the Essential Detox Pills and Detox paste they possessed.

The Essential Detox Pills were produced with effort by Leon and the pills could counter the effect of over a hundred types of poison.

Though the Reaper’s Breath was powerful, it was hardly comparable to the effect of the Deadly Veratrum poison since it did not contain motherwort.

As soon as the team from the southern region took the Essential Detox Pills, the majority of the Reaper’s Breath that escaped into their bodies instantly dissolved.

On the contrary, Fletcher and the other Dragon Guards from the western region were not as lucky.

Fletcher and Randall, who were both Almighty martial artists, managed to suppress the poison with their supreme power and the aid of the Detox paste. However, all the Gold Dragon Guards below the Almighty State stumbled and collapsed onto the ground under the effect of the Reaper’s Breath.

Fortunately, the Reaper’s Breath was only a poison that rob one of their mobility and its victim would not be in any life-threatening danger. Hence, the Dragon Guards from the western region were merely disabled and there was no casualty at the moment.

Fletcher and the Dragon Guards from the western region felt as though they were struck by lightning.

They all thought that the Detox paste would work perfectly on the Reaper’s Breath and none of them believed in the Essential Detox Pills when Leon offered the pills to them.

To their bewilderment, Detox paste seemed to have close to no effect on the poison, whereas the people from the southern region who took the Essential Detox Pills remained unaffected, forming a distinct contrast with the Dragon Guards from the western region who were all on the ground.

Besides feeling shocked, their hearts were all heavy with remorse.

If they knew the Essential Detox Pills worked better, they should have never rejected Leon's offer and they would not have fallen victim to the Reaper’s Breath.

However, it was all too late.
