Chapter 55

I stood in aww while watching Rose. It was impressive to see this side of her. She seemed so confident; towards the end, I could tell that she had allowed Lilly to come forward.

She did her research on what the laws were and even brought proof of what she had found with her. She made sure that she was within her limits, she did not abuse any power that she has.

She provided information to all of the packs so that they knew that her judgement was fair on turning these two she-wolves rogues. She is well within her rights, and she wanted to be sure the packs knew that she was not abusing her new rank of future Queen.

I am so proud of her and how well she held herself together. She will make a great Queen one day. I smile at her as we walk off the stage. I watch my dad as he says what he needs to. When he is done, the crowed cheers for him and the festivities start.

Music starts up and food is being brought out to the outside tables that have been put up. I watch as the pups run around playing with one another. The packs all mingle together, we look like a very happy kingdom. The plan is to eat, then spend time with one another having fun. Some members plan to go on a run later on. It will be a night to remember, a night full of joy and laughter.

Rose and I walk over to my father and mother.

“So, Rose, that was pretty impressive. How did you know what the laws are? And what do you think will happen to those two now that you turned them rogue? Think they will leave you alone or do you think they will cause more trouble?” My dad asks her.

“I like to read. So, once you told me how the vampires can’t touch a wolf-on-wolf land, I wanted to know why and if there was any way not to cause a war. So Raymond helped me do some research. And I knew that I could not keep the two of them in the dungeon any longer, so this seemed like the best way to handle them. ” Rose answers with a small smile on her face.

“And I think Abby will take her life as a rogue and be fine. I have no fear of her causing any trouble. Ashlee, however, I think will still be a problem down the road, especially with John.” Rose says, looking around the party.

“Has anyone seen John?” I ask. Everyone near by shakes their head no. I look around and cannot see him. I go to start a link with the guards to check in with them. But Rose stops me.

“He followed Raymond and Ashlee. He gave up his title to the pack and declared himself a rogue. Alpha Jake just linked me.” Rose tells us. We look around and I can see that Alpha Jake is holding on to his Luna as she cries.

We walk over to them; Mac and Kat are standing next to them. They turn and look at us. Rose’s parents look concerned for her. But stay standing with their Alpha and Luna.

“Alpha Jake, Luna Liz. I am so sorry that this has happened. This is not what I thought would happen.” Rose says to them. She has tears in her eyes, I hold her closer to me.

“This is not your fault, Rose; this is on John. He did this to himself. And he will realize the mistake that he has made one day.” Alpha Jake says to her.

Luna Liz walks up to Rose and hugs her. “I know you didn’t plan for this to happen. I know that what you did to those girls is what you thought was best for the kingdom. But as a mother, I am hurt knowing that my son is now a rogue.” Luna Liz says to Rose.

We stand there talking a little more. The staff lets my dad know that the food is ready. So we make our way to the tables. We all take a seat.

The food is passed around, people eat and talk. There is talking and laughter coming from all the tables.

From the looks of it, a few other members from the visiting packs have found their mates as well. There are new couples cuddled up and talking with one another. They seem to be in their own little world.

I turn to look at Rose, the beauty that she is. I notice that she is also watching me, she blushes when she sees that she was caught.

“Would you go on a walk with me after we eat?” She asks me. “Yes, that would be great.” I tell her with a smile. “Be sure to keep an eye out for any danger while you are walking. And watch for any changes in yourself. You should go through your shift any day now.” My dad tells Rose, she nods at him in understanding.

We finish eating and stand to go on our walk. We start walking towards the rose garden. My mom set up a surprise for me. We followed the twinkling lights along the pathway to the center of the garden where a fountain sits.

We take a seat by the fountain. Rose is smiling at me. “This is so beautiful,” she says. “I am so glad you like it.” I tell her while moving closer to her. I see that she is blushing while watching me.

“May I k**s you?” I ask her. She nods and leans closer to me. The k**s starts off gentle but it soon builds to be full of passion. Rose and I are tangled up with one another. I pull back, we are both a panting mess. I take a few deep breaths to try and calm myself.

I can see that Lilly is close to the surface, she is not in control. But is present, I don’t know if she is just watching or if she is helping Rose to be bold. But I want to be sure that I don’t push Rose too far.

“I don’t want you to do anything that you do not want to do. I need to be sure that everything we do is what you want and not what your wolf wants you to do. You are two halves to a whole, but you are the one in charge of all things that happen.” I say to her.

She smiles at me.

“I know exactly what I want.” She says while climbing on to my lap.
