(Rose)

I just stand there staring at Raymond. What the hell is he doing here?

“Well, this doesn’t look good for us,”Lilly says to me.

“I know, I am so confused.” I say to her.

Raymond just stand there looking at me, then the ground. It looks like he is trying to think of what to say to me.

“Why are you here? Why am I here?” I ask him.

“You are here because our King needs to speak to you. I am here because I need you to listen to what he has to say, before you go back to Ash.” Raymond says to me.

“Why didn’t you just ask me?” I ask.

“I could not ask you to come here with me, Ash would have said no and kept you away from us.” He says to me.

“Then why could your King not come and talk to me?” I say frustrated.

“Your King would not have allowed a King of another race to come on to his land. So this was the only way that we could get you here. After he talks to you, you are free to go and do what you choose. And I can keep away from you, the others can help you finish your training.” He says to me.

This is rediculus I just want to go home. Oh, no…. Ash, I bet they are looking for me.

“Is Ash looking for me?” I ask.

“Yes, a search party has been sent out to find you. But we are too far away, and hidden with the help of witches. They wont be able to find you.” He says to me.

“Is that why I cant link with anyone?” I say to him.

“Yes, this place was created to keep us hidden as well as you. It will not allow any of your powers to work as long as the shield is up.” He tells me while looking at the ground.

“So not only did they kidnap us, they also stripped us of our powers.” Lilly says to me with a growl.

“It seems that way. Lets go talk with this King, so that we can get out of here.” I say to her.

“Okay, well, let’s go talk to this King of yours…” I say to Raymond. He nods his head and turns and walks down the hall. I follow him.

We walk down the hall and get to a large staircase. Raymond walks up the stairs, so I follow him. This place is beautiful and dark, its like an old gothic castle. Beautiful, yet terrifying.

We get to the second floor and Raymond stops in front of two large French doors. He knocks and we wait for an answer. I try to steady my breathing, so that I don’t have a panic attack. Also, try to steady my heart rate, to hide the fear that I have of meeting the King of vampires.

“Rose, you may come in. Raymond, please wait outside the door.” A voice says to me.

“Actually, I would prefer him come in with me. I know him and I do not know you.” I say back to the voice.

“Fine, you both may come in.” The voice says to me.

We walk into a large office. The office has lots of windows, showing the view of the rose garden. However it seems that the windows are tinted, as the room is not that bright.

In front of the window is a desk. On one side there is a gentleman sitting in a chair with his back to us. The opposite side has two more chairs that are empty and facing the desk.

There are lots of bookshelves that are full of books and a small couch with a table and lamp beside it.

“You may take a seat.” The gentalman says to us.

Raymond and I both sit down. I notice that Raymond is looking at the floor.

I look back at the gentleman and see that he has turned around and is looking at me. I notice that he is handsome. He has dark brown eyes, with a hint of red. He has long brown hair and a great smile.

“Hello Rose, it is nice to meet you. I am sorry that it had to happen the way that it did. My name is Allaric,” He says to me.

“Hello Allaric.” I say to him.

“He is pretty good looking. I wonder how old he is?” Lilly asks me.

“I don’t think that is what he wants to talk to me about.” I say back to her with a roll of my eyes.

“So, you can still talk to your wolf while in the shield?” Allaric says to me.

“Yes I can, how did you know?” I ask him.

He smiles, “Your eyes change colors when you are talking to her. I am glad that you still have that ability.” He says to me.

“Anyways, what is it you brought me here to talk about? I have people looking for me and other things to be doing.” I say to him.

“Well, I am sure your goddess has paid you a visit. And you already know that Sol is losing her powers and her ability to control vampires and witches the way that she wants us to.” He says to me.

“Yes I knew that.” I say to him.

“Well, you see, for many years we have wanted to stop following Sol and her orders. She is not a good person. And we would like to have our freedom and decide for ourselves on what we want to do, and who we should take orders from. She demands our respect without earning it or giving us any respect. She uses us for what she needs and that is it.” Allaric says to me.

“Well, that doesn’t sound good. I bet they are glad she is losing her control over them.” Lilly says to me.

“So how does this have anything to do with me?” I ask Allaric while looking over at Raymond.

“We want to help you. If you keep the stone protected, Sol will not gain her powers back and will soon use all that she has left. And then she is nothing more, she will drain herself of everything.” He says to me with a smile.

“How do I know that you are not trying to trick me?” I ask him.

“Your goddess has already told you that her sister is dying. We would help you keep her away until she dies. This way there is no war and we all get what we need to live peacefully in this world.” Allaric says to me.

“You are powerful enough to rule over us all,” Raymond says to me.

“I need to go home and think about this.” I say to them.

“That is fine, take your time. Talk with your mate about it. You can have Raymond or any of the vampires reach out to me when you are ready.” Allaric says, standing up.

“Okay, thank you for that. I will let you know what I decide. Now how do I get home?” I say to Allaric.

“Do you like magic?” He asks me while snapping his fingers.

I gasp as a portal opens up in the floor.

“Just jump in and it will take you to your mate.” He says with a smile.

“I can come with you, if you would like. I can help explain to Ash and the King what is going on.” Raymond says to me.

I nod at him and grab his hand.

“Lets go home,”Lilly says as we jump into the portal.
