Chapter 75

(Rose)

I wake a few hours later. I feel a little sore, but it is a good sore and I smile as I think of the fun that Ash and I had. I go to get up and realize that Ash has me wrapped in his arms as he lay behind me. I try to move again and he pulls me closer.

“Ash, I need to get up,” I say to him.

“No,” he says, holding onto me tighter.

“I have to pee, let go,” I say through a giggle at him.

“Fine, but come right back here. I am not done holding on to you.” He tells me while letting go.

“We have all day together, you will be fine for a few moments.” I tell him while getting up and heading into the bedroom.

I take care of business and wash up.

“How are you feeling?” I hear Lilly ask me.

I smile to myself.

“I am okay. How are you doing with not marking one another to be fully mated with Ash and Aspen?” I ask her.

“I am okay with it, I understand why we can not mark one another yet. And I will get the chance to mark them when the time is right. But for now we can have all the fun that we want.” She tells me.

“That is true. I should get back to Ash before he comes in here looking for me.” I tell her.

I head out of the bathroom. As soon as the door opens, I am grabbed and hugged. It takes me a minute to realize that it is my mother. I look over her shoulder and Ash is smiling at me.

“Umm, Kat, you may want to let Rose put some clothes on,” Ash says with a laugh.

“Ohh!! Yes please, I am so sorry.” My mom says as she lets me go.

I smile at her and walk over to the closet. I step into the closet and close the door. I grab a T-shirt and a pair of panties and sweatpants. While getting dressed, I link Ash.

“You could have warned me she was out here, I would have grabbed my robe from the bathroom.” I say to him.

“Your link with me was blocked out, I tried too.” He says to me.

“Oh, I didn’t know I did that. I know I blocked out all the links with the others as I want time with just you. I will have Lilly help me to make sure your link is always open.” I tell him while opening the link with everyone for now on.

I walk out of the closet and see that my mom and the Queen are sitting at the dinning table on the side of the room. Ash comes out of the bathroom. I look at him confused.

“I had them step out of the room so I could go and get dressed.” He tells me.

“Oh okay,” I say to him while blushing.

“No need to blush or be embarrassed.” The queen says to me with a smile. “We are all adults here,” she continues.

“The queen and I came up to make sure you two ate this morning.” My mom says while stepping away from the table that had food on the table.

Ash and I go over and sit. We thank them and start eating. The Queen and my mom sit at the table with us.

The two of them give each other a look. You know the “Mom” look. I put my fork down and look at my mother.

“Why else have you come up here? The two of you are sharing looks, so just tell us what you have to say.” I tell her.

She smiles at me. “You know me too well,” She says.

“Well, Rose, I never talked much about true mates to you before, as you didn’t have a wolf I never expected you to have a true mate and find him. It is so rare these days and everyone takes a chosen mate.” She tells me.

“Oh no,” I hear Ash say.

“What?” I ask him, but he looks at my mom.

“Well, Rose, true mates are different than chosen mates. Chosen mates normally do not have kids, as their biology wants them to be with their true mate.” The queen says.

“Oh, no,” Lilly says to me.

“What do you know that I don’t know?” I ask her.

“Rose, did you and Ash use protection?” Lilly asks me.

“Oh my gosh!! How could we be so stupid?” I say aloud.

” It’s not stupid, Rose, we just didn’t think,” Ash tells me.

“It is stupid, a war may be coming soon. And wolves are only pregnant for 3 months. What if I got pregnant last night?” I say.

“It will be okay, we will be okay.” Ash says to me.

I look over at my mom and she has a smile on her face.

“How soon will I know if I am pregnant or not?” I ask her.

“Within a week or so.” She tells me.

“Can we get an appointment set up without the whole pack knowing?” I ask.

“Yes, the pack doctor here is good and will keep it private. She will even come here to do all the appointments.” The Queen tells me.

“Thank you for coming to talk to us. But I would like to finish my breakfast and talk to Rose alone.” Ash says to them.

They nod, and stand up. They give us both a hug. As they walk out the door, I feel a link open up.

“I know you are scared, but everything will be okay. You have lots of people that love you and will support you no matter what happens.” My mom’s voice says in my head.

I look and see Ash watching me.

“I am so sorry, I should have thought about the big picture but I was caught up in the moment. And its not a common discussion with mates,” Ash says to me.

“I am not upset, I am scared.” I tell him.

“Why are you scared?” Ash asks me.

“I never thought I would have kids.” I say to him.
