The Fall Of Lucian -
Chapter 39: Epilogue
Bardas and Adara moved as soon as they could to their new land, where white, grey, brown and black wolves were welcome. There was no exclusivity, all would be treated as equals.
And the couple succeeded, as soon after arriving on their land they welcomed straggling wolves from other packs, and with their help they would build a strong pack.
The newlyweds wanted to wait to conceive their first pup, first they would focus on growing the pack and then on enlarging the family. He had a lot of work ahead of him, but for now strengthening the herd was his priority.
Bardas named the pack after the nickname he used for his wife, leaving his beloved in awe. My moon would be the name his pack would bear.
-You will be a great leader,” Adara told her husband as she wrapped her legs around his.
-And you will be a great queen, my moon,” he embraces her tightly.
[…]Deisy was giving orders to her men to build new houses, when out of nowhere a huge black wolf appeared out of the bushes, calling her attention. She smiles and stares at it.
The wolf held his stance and waited for her.
-I’ll take care of it, my alpha,” her new beta tells her.
-Thank you.
She walks over to where the wolf was waiting for her.
-You’re here early, aren’t you?
Ever since her encounter with Izan at her brother’s wedding, that wolf had visited her quite often on her land. The journey he had to make from the north to his domain was a long one, yet he did it for her.
-I was looking forward to seeing you.
-I was not expecting you until tomorrow.
-I’ve brought my journey forward, I’m dying for you to see my domain.
-It is a long journey.
After several months of dating the prince, Deisy decided to give her relationship with him a chance. Izan was very persistent and would not give up until she accepted him.
Despite not being an albino, Deisy went crazy every time she saw him arrive on her lands.
-Your lands will be fine, come with me,” she smiles.
-It’s all right.
-You don’t need anything, you’ll have everything there. So let’s go.
She bites her lips, and sees Ria from afar who encourages her to go. She had already left everything in order for her departure, so she didn’t have to think so hard to leave with that wolf.
Izan turns around and walks off into the forest, turns his face and pulls his ears down. He looked so sweet, the albino thought.
Deisy moved quickly towards him and ended up transforming into a wolf, next to him she looked small, but the combination of the two was perfect. The perfect balance.
-Ready?
-Ready!
-Let’s go…
Izan ran and she followed him.
Her heart was content being near Izan, it was as if he was the missing part that made her feel complete. Even if he wasn’t her mate, Izan was the man of her life. No matter what the moon goddess had prepared for her, this prince was the one.
She ran to his side and glanced at him from time to time, and he looked at her too, his eyes sharpening as he did so. She knew it was a short time to think about something like that, but she felt she was in love with this wolf.
She always imagined she wouldn’t be happy, but she was wrong. The best was at the end of the thorny path.
[…]-Ethan, your puppies are going to drive me crazy. They disappear and appear whenever they want. Put a stop to it,” complains Shery, organising the house.
-And where are they?
-That’s what I’d like to know.
Suddenly, a pack of kids come running into the house, the twins and two of Megan’s sons who were a little older than the twins. The boys run through the house, while the mother of two of the boys runs into the house.
-Megan, were they with you?
-They made a mess of my house, JB is furious.
-You…” Ethan’s commanding voice gets the children’s attention.
But instead of listening to him, they run out the back of the house and Ethan follows them.
-I think they do what they want with him,” Megan says to her sister-in-law, plopping down on the couch. Have you heard from Adara?
-She wrote me a week ago, saying that Deisy has been going through her pack with Bardas’ brother. Apparently they took a chance on each other.
-I’m glad that albino’s doing well, finally someone breaks that icy heart.
-Well, at some point she had to meet someone who really loved her. It was only a matter of time.
-And where were they going? She never leaves her land.
-They went to Izan’s land, he wanted her to know his domain.
-I smell a wedding coming soon.
The sisters-in-law laugh as Shery starts folding clothes and picking up toys. Becoming a mother of two again was hard work, and Megan was the spitting image of that. She already had six puppies. At least the adults were helping their father.
However, they led a happy life and even more so now that she could give her husband more children… smile, because life gave her a second chance to live. If Eve were by his side, he would be as happy as she was…
[…]But long before all that happened, in the farthest corner of the forbidden mountain, Cercie was celebrating the victory of having won her prize.
-I can finally get rid of you, Lucian. You thought you could outwit me so easily.
You came with your trickery and you wrapped me up when I was a naïve apprentice, and in doing so you got my most powerful secret out of me. I told you that once your heart belonged to me you would be lost, and now that I have it in my possession I feel I have had my revenge.
The fire flared before her, her eyes glowing with excitement until she threw Lucian’s heart into it. She smiled openly while her frivolous expression looked like that of a madwoman.
-Serves you right for cheating on me in the most dastardly way.
When she met Lucian they were a pair of young girls, she was powerful, but she still possessed that nobility of a damned human. Her mother was a witch, but her wretched father was a foul wolf.
Her sister was born a wolf and a witch, but she only inherited the witch part and lusted for the b***d of wolves. For that reason she killed her sister and filled herself with her wolf b***d, but her ungrateful niece did not appreciate the great favour she did her.
So she ran away with her father and on top of that the wretch took her far away from her land, unfortunately Cercie was condemned to that mountain. Getting out of there in her physical form was impossible. If she did, she would lose the incredible power she had acquired over the years.
However, Ria was insignificant, a white witch was not as powerful as she was. For that reason she never gave any thought to her existence.
See the flesh of Lucian’s heart crackle with the kindling of the fire.
He fell in love with her and betrayed her when she still possessed innocence, for that reason she never trusted anyone again. It was she who cursed that wolf and all his offspring with a single zeal, they would not enjoy that privilege for life. However, the cursed one knew how to take advantage of it very well, discovering how to make the most of it.
She was shocked when she discovered his plans, even though she had suspected for many years that he was planning to do that to her. To think he could swallow her heart, but if he was right about one thing, if he had eaten it he would have become a very powerful wolf.
Luckily his last offspring had died, and there was no trace of that wolf and no one who carried his b***d left.
-Here ends it all my dear Lucian, your downfall was imminent.
She smiles as her eyes glow as she stares at the orange colour of the fire that slowly turned to a reddish colour.
THE END…
