Chapter 103

Three rescuers jumped into the water and

inside.

"It's nearly impossible to get in. How could anyone have survived in there?"

The rescue team quickly contacted the medical staff waiting at the foot of the mountain. Soon, the medics arrived with equipment, ready to provide first aid as soon as the rescue team brought her out. the

"Dad, don't worry," Vander's daughter said while pulling on him. He was standing anxiously at the water's edge. "Mom will be okay. The streamer said that if we save her today, she'll be fine." Madison nodded. "I can see the dark energy around you fading. This means your wife has survived her tribulation. You don't need to

worry anymore."

As soon as she finished speaking, a rescuer surfaced from the water. One of them was carrying someone on their back. "Hurry! She's unconscious!"

The medical team hurried over, placing an oxygen mask on her and quickly examining her under the lights. "She's got an infection. We need to get her to the hospital right away." The group hurried down the mountain.

Vander stumbled behind them. The moment he saw her, his eyes reddened, and tears began streaming down his face.

"It's her! It's my wife!" he cried.

He alternated between laughter and tears.

His children turned to the livestream and said, "Thank you, thank you so much!"

Madison replied, "She's safe now, so you don't need to worry. Let's leave it at that for now."

Since she knew Vander and his family weren't in the mood for streaming anymore, she ended the call.

"Wow, she's amazing! She actually saved the person!"

"Am I the only one wondering who really died? If it wasn't Professor Willis' wife, then who could it be?

"Sweetie is incredible!"

"She truly is something else."

Madison noticed a few familiar usernames in the chat. The same people who had insulted her earlier were now quickly changing their tone.

"That's all for tonight. Everyone, get some rest," she said.

The stream lasted over two hours, and it was nearly 4:00 am now.

Instead of going back to bed, Madison stepped onto the balcony and stared into the night.

Her eyes suddenly caught sight of a faint, ghostly figure in the yard.

It was Sebastian.

With his hands clasped behind his back, he tilted his head slightly to gaze at the sky.

The pale moonlight passed through his translucent figure, making him look even more ethereal. As the breeze swayed the flowers in the garden, they gently moved through his ghostly form.

A single leaf drifted down in the wind, passing through Sebastian's form before landing at his feet. He looked down at it. Suddenly, dark clouds obscured the moon, and a light rain began to fall with the breeze.

This was the nature of ghosts Wind, rain, and changing seasons meant nothing to them. They felt no warmth or cold. Their emotional memories froze the moment they became ghosts,

Mia had been dead for decades but still looked like a child. Yara died thousands of years ago, and despite mastering incredible spells, her mind remained unchanged.

Sebastian knew

ew he would be the same.

A strong gaze caught his attention. He turned to see Madison standing on the balcony. The wind tousled her hair, and raindrops tell

onto her face and strands.

Even from a distance, he could imagine her cold eyes focusing on him, her brows slightly furrowing in disapproval.

Sebastian couldn't help but smile. Throughout his life, no one had ever looked down on him. His elders were pleased with him, his peers envied him, and those younger than him saw him as their idol. Yet, Madison was different.

From their first meeting, she had been dissatisfied with him. She disliked his ghostly aura and his disobedience. Even now, she disapproved of him standing in the rain.

In an instant, he floated closer to her. Before he could say anything, she frowned and said, "The moonlight is heavy with negative energy. You shouldn't be out here on moonlit nights."

Sebastian fell silent. She always seemed unhappy with him. Yet, for some reason, he felt a smile creeping in.

He chuckled softly, but Madison's expression only grew grimmer.
