Chapter 135

As Queenie stepped outside Haven House, she spotted Nate standing at the entrance. He looked disheveled and was slumped weakly against the wall. A pile of cigarette butts lay at his feet. She shook her head in sympathy. The ghost shrine really wreaked havoc on people.

After she left, Nate lit another cigarette and tossed the old one aside. He straightened his hair and clothes before walking to the door and ringing the bell.

Wanda opened the door. "Sir, how can I help you?"

"I'm looking for Ms. Locke. Is she here?"

Wanda glanced at him. "Are you Mr. Yule?"

"Yes"

"Ms. Locke is inside. Please come in." Madison had reminded Wanda earlier to let Nate in if he arrived.

"Thank you." Nate stepped inside and took a seat.

Before long, Madison came down the stairs. The moment Nate saw her, he rushed over. "Ms. Locke, please help me! You have to help me!"

Madison looked at the haggard, anxious Nate. "Have a seat and tell me what's going on."

As soon as she sat, Nate said, "Ms. Locke, didn't you say that Estelle and I were fated to be together? If that's true, then we're meant to be, right? There has to be a chance to salvage this " Madison shook her head firmly, "No, there isn't. I checked your thread of destiny, and Estelle isn't your match."

Nate felt the weight of her words. His thread of destiny was still tangled and unclear.

"I don't want anyone else; I just want Estelle. Is there any way for us to get back together? I never wanted to be without her. It was Megan. She ruined everything."

When Madison heard him mention Megan, her gaze shifted slightly. "Nate, you need to understand that we live in a society governed by law. No one can take justice into their own hands." Nate lowered his head with his hands resting on his knees.

After a moment of silence, Madison asked, "You've already lost your chance at love because of Megan. Do you really want to end up in prison for her?"

Madison studied Nate's situation and realized he was trapped in his own thoughts. He hated Megan. He wanted revenge on her. In fact, he had already begun to act against her.

"Is it really going to end like this?" Nate looked up with frustration in his eyes. "The law won't punish her!

"She'll go on living her life without consequences. And what about me?" He stood up, pacing back and forth. "What am I supposed to do? Estelle told me she no longer loves me. She loves that other man." He looked up in desperation and pleaded, "What am I supposed to do? Ms. Locke, can't you help me? You're so skilled-there has to be something you can do!"

Madison looked at the obsessed Nate and sighed softly. "There is a way, but are you willing to give it a try?"

"I'll do anything. I'm ready to do whatever it takes," he said.

Madison Instructed Nate to lie on the couch and placed a talisman on his forehead. "This will allow you to enter a dream. If you can change things in the dream, then reality will also change." Nate immediately closed his eyes. Before long, he fell into a deep sleep.

Wanda watched Madison in shock. "Ms. Locke, is there really such a magical talisman?"

Madison smiled faintly. "Of course not. This talisman will just help him see his past clearly."

Wanda looked puzzled. She didn't quite understand the words Madison said.

Four hours later, the talisman turned to ash, and Nate woke up.

He sat on the couch in a daze and remained silent for several minutes. Finally, he stood up and thanked Madison, "Thank you, Ms. rupter 152

Locke. I'll let Megan go when I get back."

He took a bank card from his pocket and said, "Here's five million dollars. I appreciate your help."
