Chapter 9

He’s accepting another female as his Luna.

The second male lead: Vishal.

Jane’s point of view.

“Hello, Mom, how are you?” I ask her, after picking up her call. It’s been a while since I heard my beloved mother’s voice.

“I’m fine, my darling daughter. How are you doing over there?” She asked me.

I know she’s worried about me, and I’m sure she misses me a lot as well. She must be lonely because I’m her best friend. She must have a lot of wrinkles by now.

“I’m fine, mom. And how’s dad?” I implore.

“Oh, your dad? He’s good, he’s always busy with the pack affairs. He had no time for me. I’m lonely here without my baby, mother misses you a lot, my sugar pie”, she responds.

“I miss you too, mom, I have good news for you”, I told her.

“What good news is that, daughter?” Be fast to spill everything out”, she asserted.

I can feel her happiness over the phone.

“Mom, I’m a warrior now. I’m part of uncle Tommy’s female warrior”, I told her the good news.

“Oh my God. Wow! She cried out. My baby is now a pack warrior. I’m so, so proud of you, my darling daughter. Uh, I wish I’m there to celebrate your success with you”.

“It’s never too late, mom. I will be coming home, but not too soon, I have a lot to contribute to the pack. If I come home, we will celebrate my success together”, I told her.

“Okay, darling, I will be eagerly awaiting your arrival,” she told me. My mom and I talked for a long time before she ended the call.

Being a pack warrior is a privilege. I have never thought my dream will come true. I’m going to show my so-called father that I deserve to be his daughter, I will show him that I deserve to be loved by him. And I’m going to show all the pack members who bullied me and look down on me that I deserve to be their future beta. To my bastard mate, I’m going to show that piece of trash that I deserve to be his Luna and rule beside him. I will show him that he doesn’t deserve a stand of my hair, talk more of myself. I will show all those bullies of mine that I’m not the weak, clumsy girl that they all claim I am.

After my conversation with my mom. I decided to pamper my skin under the warm water. I strip and enter the bathroom to take my bath. My body fumes with sweat. I was just back from the training ground when my mother called me. I relax under the warm water, enjoying myself. “Mm, mm”.

After taking my bath, I put on short pants and a crop top. I roll up my long hair. “I need to fill up my gut with some food”, I m**n to myself.

I walked down and headed towards the kitchen to get some food.

“Hello, are you new here? A voice asks me. I turn around to see who the voice belongs to. I was shocked and astonished by his beauty. The stranger in front of me is like a god. He has golden short hair with ocean blue eyes. He’s too beautiful. I’m so jealous of him. I stare deep inside his blue eyes. His eyes invaded my soul. I stood there like a sculpture admiring the god in the form of a man in front of me. Wow! He’s just too beautiful. Damn, he’s more beautiful than I’m.

“Hello,” are you there? He affirmed, ruffling his hands. I was stricken out of my thoughts by his voice.

“Cough”. This is so embarrassing. “Why did I stare too long?” He must have believed I was a pervert by now. Oh my God!!! Jane, what came over you?” Jane’s inner thinking.)

“I apologize for staring at you, I know it’s rude for a girl to be glaring like that. Please forgive me”, I said, feeling more awkward.

“It’s okay”, he says.

(“Oh, God. Hearing his voice makes me want to hug and devour him. “Why am I feeling like this?” I thought I have buckled up on any feelings I’m supposed to have for a man?” Why is he different?” Why did I want him?” I have met different guys in the pack, but I’ve no interest in any of them. I never react to any of them. “Why am I falling for him, a stranger?”

“I’m Vishal, are you new here?” He inquired, smiling and showing me his pure white set of beautiful teeth. And what’s your name?”

“This dude. He’s killing me”.

“Where should I start by answering your questions?” I smile.

“I’m Jane, I’m not new in this pack. I think I should be the one asking you this because I’m one of the female warriors in the pack”, I replied.

“Oh, my bad! Then well, I understand you”, he muttered. It’s been a long time since I left the pack for my training. I think I should introduce myself to you properly”.

“I’m Vishal, the future Beta of this pack, I have been away for a long time because of my beta training,” he said, smiling.

I gasp. “He’s Ella’s big brother, the one that she’s always talking about. Did I just give him an attitude?” Oh my God. This is embracing!!! I just drool on Ella’s brother just now.

“I’m sorry, I thought you were a stranger since I have never come across you”, I said, feeling sorry.

“It’s okay, Jane. By the way, can we be friends?”. He asked.

“Friends?” With a hot dude?” Can I?” I have never been friends with a male wolf before, not even in my pack, every male avoids me like a plague.

“Yes, we can be friends”, I told him.

Ever since I met Vishal, he has always been a supportive buddy to me. We both practiced together on the training ground, we were both strong, but he’s stronger. Vishal and I started getting closer, we did things together. I love his company.

“Jane, why are you not paying attention?” Vishal asks. What is wrong?” Can you share your worries with me?”

There’s nothing wrong with sharing my thoughts with Vishal. Our friendship continued to grow over the weeks we got to know each other.

“You know what, I got a lot of stuff that I concealed inside me, Vishal. I’m trying to buckle them, but it keeps worrying me”, I told him.

“Then, can you share it with me?” He pleaded.

“It was nothing bad, I’m just thinking about my mate”, I told him.

“What? Jane, do you have a mate?” He asked.

“Yes, I have got a mate, but unfortunately, I’m not good enough for him, he rejected me because I’m weak and clumsy. And most importantly, I’ve no wolf.” I let out.

“What did you say?” He what?” He rejects you because you have no wolf?” Did he want to kill you?” He knows you have no wolf, and yet he rejects you. He’s a f*****g bastard and a serial killed”, he roared. “Who the hell is that f*****g bastard?”

“Vishal”, I call him, calm down. He’s not someone we can mess with. I’m planning my revenge on him as well.

“He’s not someone I can mess with?” Eh. Really?” Tell me, Jane, who the hell is your mate?” He yells.

“He’s Alpha king, King Richard”, I scream.

“What the hell” Vishal’s eyes went wide. That notorious Alpha is your mate?” He asked.

“Yes, he’s the one, he’s the mate the moon deity pairs me with. I told you he’s not someone we can mess with, we don’t want to ignite the beast in him”, I told him. Just let him be, Vishal.

He was speechless.

“I can’t believe this”, those words left his mouth.

“What are you talking about? I asked him. “What can’t you believe?”

“This is unbelievable!! He let out. The man you claimed as your mate. Tomorrow, he’s accepting his Luna in front of all the Alpha’s he invited. Our pack is also invited as well”.

“What… I cried out. This is not happening.
