The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage by Chu -
Chapter 1912
Frank was left even more frustrated.
Fortunately, Helen and Vicky were just teasing Frank-they otherwise trusted his character.
Even if Phoenix was intruding, they were not nervous at all, let alone worried that Frank would do something out of line.
If anything, they treated it as a joke.

Nonetheless, the registration period was over, and it was soon time for the qualifiers.
At that point, Frank had to admit that Phoenix was successful-that was, in getting his attention.
After all, he was a little nervous because he had not heard from her since. He could only pray that the woman did not do anything ridiculous to get him a whole bunch of enemies out of nowhere. As such, it gave him ease of mind that Phoenix was nowhere to be seen when he arrived at the Martial Alliance branch. That way, he could take part without worrying about much else. Aside from Scarface Tucker, who was going to participate from the start, there was also Mona Fairfax, Winter Lawrence's personal bodyguard.
Kat Yego was making a fuss to take part too.
And since Frank had seen many martial artists from different corners of the country taking part in the Zamri branch qualifiers, taking part would be an eye-opening experience.
That was the reason he had contacted the Zamri Martial Alliance branch manager earlier-to help Mona and the others get registered.
"The first round is a physical test."
The manager was on hand to
receive Frank and his friends too
and gave him a personal run-through. "The physique is a martial artist's foundation, so they would be tested in endurance
speed, strength, and other aspects.
"With so many participants, we have to stick to a simple selection process, and we estimate that half would be eliminated in the first round."
Frank nodded in agreement, understanding the intention. "Then where is it taking place?"
"This way, Mr. Lawrence." The Zamri Martial Alliance branch manager smiled, serving as Frank's tour guide for the day.
He led them to the fifth floor, a large
to th
field with several boxing machines and giant plasma screens hanging overhead, clearly stating the name of the participants taking the test and their score, in the center
It also stated that vigor wielders must have a punch weight of over 550 pounds to clear the test, and the bar was 1,100 pounds for Birthright-ranked elites. While Ascendant-ranked elites were rare, they just had to do around 2,200 pounds.
"The boxing machines are custom made," the Zamri Martial Alliance branch manager said proudly when he saw Frank studying the machines that stood over a dozen meters tall. "Each can withstand over 440,000 pounds of force. You can test it if you're interested."
"Sure," Frank said, clearly staring at the towering machines with interest.
Many other participants were already taking part when they arrived, with long queues stretching on for each machine.
There were not many who passed, and those who cleared the test were already seated on the bleachers to the side, discussing the chances of other participants.
As for those who did not clear the test, they would usually leave in dejection.
Not many of them would stay-as they could not even clear the first round, they would only be humiliating themselves if they stuck around for the next round.
