Just as Frank was ready to leap into the mansion through a window, he noticed something strange. No one was breathing in there!

"This is bad!"

He broke through the window right then and was immediately greeted by a sight of carnage.

A twentyish woman lay on the couch, with two bodyguards nearby laying on the floor.

The woman in the kitchen got the worst of it, however, as her entire head was plunged into a burning pot of beef soup, leaving her completely disfigured!

Frank looked around and quickly found the beeping red indicator of a security camera.

He followed the wiring to the security room, and was ready to enter when he heard footsteps.

He promptly backed away, just as a black-clad man opened the door and stepped out, and passed out just as he glimpsed a dark fist launched straight at his face.

When he woke up, he was completely restrained, and before him stood a menacing youth who only had his looks going for him.

Fiddling with the USB stick he took from the black-clad man, he asked coolly, "You're quite thorough, making a copy of the security footage before deleting it. Don't tell me that your boss asked you to?"

"W-Who are you?!" the black-clad man shrieked, terrified to the depths of his core and sweating buckets.

He could be considered the best of the best, since he managed to defeat Stanley's guards to make his way here, and they were all martial elites.

And yet, the man before him subdued him with perfect ease.

"Answer my question!" Frank suddenly bellowed.

The black-clad man flinched in terror from Frank's pressure right then and promptly admitted everything. "I-I'm just hired muscle! I don't even know who my employer is... They just told me to bring the security footage to the foot of Lipton Hill in Shagan!" "Shagan?"

Frank remembered the place it was an impoverished region as it was remote, leading to most of the martial elites born there leaving it entirely.

So how could a place devoid of talents be embroiled in such a convoluted web of conspiracies?

And while Frank was left utterly confused, the black-clad man asked, "You're Frank Lawrence, right?"

"How'd you asked

The black-clad man then explained, "My employer was talking to someone else when he called me to issue instructions. Your name was mentioned, and he was saying that if the plan didn't work, they would kill you directly instead!"

At that point, Frank got the gist.

Stanley was just a test-those people had surer ways to kill Frank! "What else did you hear?"

Frank seized the black-clad man by the neck, glaring murderously.

Even though the black-clad man was himself ruthless, he was as harmless as a chick in front of Frank!

"I-I think they're not just after you... he stammered. "They are ready to kill the Martial Alliance and

elites across the country van toe

And with that, Frank squeezed, and the black-clad man turned lopsided as he died on the spot.

Frank sighed and here he thought he was the only target.

Whoever they were, they were certainly bold, targeting all the martial artists in the country! Ring...

That was when Frank's phone rang with a call from Vicky. "What's up?"

"You should come back. There's this young man named Uriah Zangi who's being very specific about wanting to see you." "Uriah Zangi...?"

Frank basically knew all the martial elites and important families across the country, but not that name.

"Leave right now," Frank told Vicky right then. "He's an enemy!"

"Really?" Vicky appeared bemused. "But he seems quite agreeable..."
