"Look, Ms. Quill," Jason teased. "Even your colleague is laughing."

Meg remained perfectly composed-being human meant having desire and not worrying about ruining one's image.

"Quit laughing. Drive safe now." Meg rolled her eyes at the valet, who smiled and nodded before quickly driving away.

Meg returned to the lobby and arranged for the staff to clean up the mess before heading upstairs.

She then entered the private room and saw that it was not just Frank and Lara inside-Jouri Yelin was there too, sitting primly on the couch with them! "When did you get here, Ms. Yelin?" Meg asked.

Jouri smirked. "What, am I not supposed to be here?"

Meg quickly shook her head. "Of course not. You're always welcome here!"

Jouri ignored her, however, and tapped her fingers on the paper on the table. "Are you signing it or not?"

Frank chuckled coolly but otherwise ignored her.

"What's this?"

Meg walked up, and saw that it was Golden Lily's deed!

So that was why the owner was insistent on giving it away to Frank-Jouri was pulling the strings!

However, that also begged a new question-why would Jouri want to give Frank Golden Lily?

On top of that, he was Alda's fiance, so would he really want a karaoke bar?

"Come on, Meg. You talk to him too."

Meg had no idea what was at stake, but she knew that Golden Lily had always been a legitimate business. Taking ownership would work for Frank in every way without any catch.

"Mr. Frankton, Ms. Yelin is really making this offer for your benefit," she hence told Frank. "You don't look a gift horse in the mouth, so try to be more understanding." Frank smirked. "No, she doesn't have my understanding!"

Meg was actually puzzled by Frank's stubbornness.

In terms of pecking order, Frank was actually beneath Jouri-what gave him the right to think that he could push her around?

Moreover, it was even more

confusing that Jouri did not get

upset and was instead smiling. "Sign

the agreement, and I'll agree to. anything, including-and not limited to-information on Hector Clet."

"Who's Hector Clet?" Meg asked, curious.

"That's none of your business!" Jouri snapped and glared at her, frightening and silencing her right then.

Frank then turned to Meg and Lara. "You two should leave."

When they were gone, Frank asked, "Who on earth is Hector Clet?"

Jouri crossed her legs in a figure-4 shape, folding her arms before her chest and said, "You have to sign the agreement before I can tell you what you'd like to know!"

Whether the agreement was suspicious, Frank was not afraid.

If anything, he could resolve any issue easily.

"I hope you won't break your promise," he said nonetheless. "The last person who did is still complaining about me to Hades."

With that, he took the agreement and signed it.

Jouri then took it back, examined it, and smiled. "Not going to stamp it?"

"It's all the same," Frank replied coolly. "Now tell me. Who's Hector Clet?"

Jouri laughed. "True! It doesn't matter as long as you take ownership of Golden Lily-I'd rather never trick you with a contract.

"As for Hector Clet? He's no more

than an empty shell. He may be a higher-up, but he has his own plans Like Sally York, he wants to claim control over the energy from the

spiritron vein, so don't let him win."

Frank was unsure if he should laugh or cry. "You think? Anyone could see that much! Give me something worthwhile!"
