The Diary of Chloe Hancock

July 15th

Dear Diary,

I officially think I have gone crazy, like phone the men in white coats type of crazy!

After my first embarrassing encounter with my hot stud of a headmaster, things just got worse, when I basically asked him to bend me over his knee and spank me! Then to run over to him and stop him from beating the s**t out of Liam and Kris, who were flirting with me, well, after that little episode, he has kept a low profile, and who can blame him. I am not sure what happened, but since that night I have been having the most vivid weird dreams of my life.

Every time I go to sleep, I see him, Mr Zander Colton in all his glory smiling at me and calling me his Mate, telling me it wont be long and we can be together, then my dream changes, and suddenly I see a wolf, who is pure purple in colour, and she turns to me wagging her purple tail with a black patch on the very tip of it, and tells me not to worry, she has always been with me, but hidden to protect me. She insists that I trust Zander, he is our mate.

Anyway, since the headmaster threw Liam and Kris across the field, I felt for sure they were badly injured, but maybe I had overreacted, because they were both perfectly fine the next day. The only noticeable difference is they no longer flirt, and changed overnight from wana be boyfriends, to personal bodyguards. Seriously, if anyone even tries to push in front of me in the dinner queue they are there, telling them to get behind and know their place. It is totally weird as f**k!

Well, lets see what tonight brings, it is the full moon bonfire night, Nicki tells me it is a good party, even though it sucks that we have to be back at School for 10pm, leaving the village at 9:30 pm. Ethan is like an excited puppy, saying for the first time he can stay for the whole event, as he has “Found his potential”!

Is it wrong of me to really want to see Zander Colton, my headmaster again? Because my tummy is in knots about tonight, doing back flips every time I think about going into the village! The closer the time comes, the more excited I am getting!

Nicki and Josh are doing great, last night they went to the cinema, they invited me, but I do not want to be a third wheel in their relationship so politely refused and spent the evening with Ethan along with my bodyguards playing cards against humanity. I am gathering by the swollen lips, flushed cheeks and messy hair of Nicki when she returned to the dorm it went very well. I am pleased for them both. Uptight Ursula is back, but in the B***d Moon house, and apparently is not fitting in very well, not liking the extra training those guys love to do. However, she has given both Nicki and me a wide berth since she got busted down from head girl, she even nods her head as a mark of respect to Nicki, since everyone knows she is Joshua’s girlfriend, or ‘mate’ as they call it around here.

Well, I best get ready for this bonfire, I promise, dear diary to try and write more than I am doing. xxx

Zander looked out of the large patio doors from the pack house, watching as the pack members all gathered firewood, and built a big bonfire on the edge of the packhouse grounds just before the lane towards where the individual houses for mated wolves were built. The kitchen was a flurry of activity as the omegas, all happily cooked up a storm for the pack and guests. Taking a deep breath, he again worried about the fact that Alpha Aitchison and his daughter Louise would attend tonight’s festivities. It would be the first time he had seen either of them since he told them about the agreement for him to take Louise as his chosen mate was off. However, because of their close proximity to his pack, and the promise of protection and training for their young wolves at the academy, the invitation was required, even if it was against his better judgement.

“Alpha” Robin said as a welcome, then stood alongside him

“Robin” Zander sighed out.

“The preparations are going well, the guests will start to arrive in around an hour, the school bus with the pupils in around half an hour.” Robin informed him

Zander took a breath and nodded, since the incident on the training field he had been avoiding Chloe, Caesar had zero control around her, and it was too soon for him to tell her everything, she was still only 17, this was going to be the longest six months of his life. The reason they invited any human students to the full moon celebration was simply, it was preparation for them joining the pack, they would eat food, have a drink, round the bonfire, then the guys would tell old ‘legends’ about a time when werewolves roamed the area. Tonight, Josh was telling the story about the extinction of the Royal Wolves and why the Eclipse house school uniform was chosen to honour that ‘legend’.

Chapter Twelve

The Diary of Chloe Hancock

July 15th

“How do you think you are going to manage being around your mate?” Robin asked

“I don’t know, the urge to just have her with me at all times is overwhelming, but I need to protect her, because until Andrew comes back with the results from both her b***d and her parents, and we have some answers as to what she is, I cannot afford for people to know, it will put her in danger.” Zander sighed

“You were lucky Liam and Kris are good kids and loyal to you and Josh, they have done as requested and kept the matter confidential” Robin smiled, proud of the younger generation.

“Yes, they are good wolves, according to Josh they have been on security duty for her around the school and taking the task of protecting their future Luna very seriously.” Zander sighed out pleased she had some protection, but still angry with himself at how he lost it on the training field.

“So how are you going to play it tonight?” Robin asked, concerned for his friend. He understood all to well the power of the mate bond, but for a strong Alpha like Zander the pull was even greater, and given his fated mate was human, and underage, he knew his best friend was in pure torment.

“f**k knows” Zander sighed

“Plus, there is the whole Louise is coming bullshit, and given she made a threat against my mate, I really do not want her to realise it is Chloe, so I guess, as much as I do not want to, I should keep a safe distance, like I have done these last few days.” Zander let out a deep breath, it was his only logical option, to keep Chloe safe, not only from Louise, or other females who may become jealous of a human becoming their Luna, but also from himself and Caesar, because as soon as he see’s her, or smells her arousal when she is close to him, he was terrified he would snap and take her there and then.

Chloe, sat at her vanity mirror, as she straightened the long lengths of her purple and black hair, then put on a light covering of make-up. Pulling on a pair of black tight denims that had rips up the front and safety pins pulling the rips together, a black t-shirt that was ripped at the shoulder with safety pins keeping that together, and a long black knitted cardigan that hung to her thighs, she pulled on her doc martin boots, and checked out her unique look in the mirror. Happy with what she saw she turned to Nicola, who wore light blue denims that flared at the ankles, and a white oversized top tied under the bust, that floated out, teaming it with a pair of white dolly shoes, her long brown hair pulled back in a high ponytail, her face clear of any make up.

“You look super cute in that bohemian style” Chloe complimented her friend.

“You look super fierce, and sexy as anything, the head is going to be beating one off to you tonight” Nicki teased Chloe.

“I get the feeling he is avoiding me” Chloe said sadly

“You are over thinking, anyway, come on, Josh is waiting for us, he said he will ride the bus, and will come back with us at curfew and stay at the school tonight” Nicki grinned.

As they walked out of their dorm, Ethan was waiting, hopping from foot to foot, he was so excited.

“Good grief, are you really this happy to be leaving our house tomorrow” Chloe teased him.

“No, I don’t really want to leave you two, but honestly it feels so good to have my wo…. Potential realised” Ethan grinned.

The trio walked down to the bus where Josh, Gav, Kris and Liam waited for them, as they climbed on board, Josh sat next to Nicki his arm round her shoulder, as he complimented on how beautiful she was, Ethan sat next to Chloe with Kris and Liam behind, and Gav at the opposite side.

The half hour journey went quickly as the students all sang silly songs, until they reached the packhouse.

“How do you think you are going to manage being around your mate?” Robin asked

“Come on, we will go straight round the back, the bonfire will be blazing now” Josh grinned at Nicki, Chloe followed, as her stomach once again began its happy dance, taking a seat on a log next to the fire, some of the omega pack members walked around serving plates of food.

Chloe could not stop herself from scanning the grounds to see if she could catch a glimpse of Zander, her heart beating ten to the dozen inside her chest at the prospect of seeing him once more.

Taking some burgers and fried chicken along with a bottle of cola, Chloe sat listening to her fellow students as they all chatted happily. Suddenly the now familiar scent of musk and sandalwood began to invade her nostrils, and instantly she felt almost lightheaded, her arousal making her cross her legs, rather than question her reaction, she decided just to enjoy it. She had to admit, she had missed this smell so much over the past few days.

Josh stood up and cleared his throat, everyone went quiet.

“As is traditional, tonight we are going to hear the story of the Royal werewolf’s” he began.

“Legend has it, that for century’s werewolves lived around the forests and hills of Scotland. This story is about the royal family, who reigned for over a thousand years. King Asher, and Queen Rebecca were the last to rule over the half man half wolf race. They were good people, wanting to include everyone, banishing slavery, making a decree that all wolves irrespective of rank were to be treated as equals, with kindness and acceptance. Unfortunately, some Alphas were filled with greed and a need for power, disliked this, as they liked to rule with fear, and banish or mistreat those they felt were not strong enough, and they built an army to take down King Asher and Queen Rebecca. They attacked the packs loyal to the royal family, and in the last battle of the great war, they succeeded in killing the King and Queen, and their four children, Prince Clint, Prince Aaron, Prince Casper, and Prince Stephan, along with the Alphas of the packs loyal to them. The royal b***d line was wiped out, and the packs had to make a treaty to live in peace. Even to this day, slavery and banishment continue, but there are still the packs who follow the King and Queens commands and treat everyone fairly and with kindness. That is why the Crescent Moon academy has the Eclipse house, it is a place where people who have not been given a fair chance can flourish, and that is why the house colour is the purple, after the Royal family, who were the only werewolves in existence to have purple fur.”

As Chloe listened a tear fell down from her check, she could not understand why she found the story so heart breaking, after all it was only a legend, but she could hardly contain the small sobs that were coming from her, also she was confused the wolf in her dream had purple fur, and she shuddered at the thought of that coincidence.

Zander looked over, his heart pounding in his chest as he saw his mate crying, Caesar was pacing in his head to go comfort their mate, and he his control snapped, he could not bare it. Walking round the fire to where Chloe sat in tears, suddenly he felt a hand on his arm.

“Zander” the annoying voice purred

“Louise” Zander answered curtly

“Oh, I was hoping to meet your mate” Louise said with a sickly smile that did not reach her eyes.

“Louise, please go be with your pack members” Zander growled out not wanting the woman anywhere near him, he needed to go to his mate, to comfort her.

“Oh Zander, you know, I don’t believe you have a mate, and well, I want to show you what a good Luna I can be, and the fun we can have” Louise purred out.

Chloe sat watching Zander, seeing the woman, touching his arm made her insides sink, then as she watched the anger inside began to grow, as she saw her trail a finger down his chest, and move closer to him, Chloe felt like a spectator of her own life. A feeling from the pit of her stomach rose up, coming out of her mouth like a fierce animal growl, then she shouted with and uncontrollable rage in a voice that echoed across the field, making everyone turn and look at her.
