Logan's POV

The day was dragging on and I couldn't sit in my office waiting for information anymore, I had to go do something. Going to the training facility and taking my frustrations out on a punching bag seemed like a good idea. I headed down and out of the pack house, ignoring everyone I passed. Julia was the only thing I could think about. She had to be alive, she had to.

I knew she had gotten hit with that knife, but that didn't mean she was dead. I refused to believe that. Once I got to the training facility, I took off my shirt and took out one of our human-shaped punching bags. There was no one to spar with except young warriors, and I wasn't in the mood for child's play. I spent the better part of an hour wailing on the punching bag with everything I had. After that, I went for a 5-mile run until it was dark. I was on my last lap back to the training facility when I heard lan's voice in my head. "Alpha, where are you?" "Running back to the training facility. What is it?"

"Come to your office when you're done. We have news for you about the hybrid." I growled at him loudly through our link. "Sorry, I mean Julia. We have news about Julia."

"I'll be right there." My stomach clenched. I didn't know if they had good or bad news, but I knew there was only one way to find out. I ran back to the training facility as fast as I could to retrieve my shirt.

"Put all this away," I barked at a young warrior who was in the facility, indicating the things I had taken out.

"Yes, Alpha," he said, bowing his head. After putting my shirt back on, I sprinted to my office and threw open the door. Ian and Tyler were both standing in my office with serious looks on their faces. As calmly and coolly as I could, I went to sit behind my desk. lan and Tyler sat opposite me in the chairs.

"What have you found out?" I asked them. They both just looked at each other. "I said, what did you find out?"

"We've been taking shifts watching the border of the Lycan pack like you asked," Tyler began. "We started where the blood trail ended, and we went slightly further into their territory because we didn't see any patrols. Ian and I were going together just in case anyone saw us. As we got further into the territory, we heard voices. Through the trees we could see two people standing in a clearing by a lake. One was definitely Julia."

"But the other," lan said.

"Who was the other person?"

"Now we weren't able to get very close, so we could be wrong, but it looked as though she was in the arms of the Lycan King."

"WHAT!" I yelled, standing up and clearing everything off my desk in one angry swipe. Levi was feral in my mind, he was pi**ed at the idea of another man's hands on his mate. "THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE, I'M HER MATE AND I DIDN'T ACCEPT HER REJECTION. SHE CAN'T HAVE ANOTHER MATE ALREADY!" Ian and Tyler were cowering in their chairs. "NO, YOU HAVE TO BE WRONG!" I turned around and punched a hole in the wall behind me. "Alpha," Tyler said.

"WHAT!?" I yelled, turning to face him.

"At least we know where she is now."

"I know that you moron! If she's with the Lycan King as you said, how in the he** are we supposed to get her out?!" Neither of them said anything.

"We're going to kill him. We're going to dislocate his head from his body! We'll tear him into such small pieces, he'll never be able to heal from it!" Levi growled.

"This is impossible," I said, sitting back down in my chair after my outburst. "How can she not only have survived but found a way into Lycan territory? And how in the he** does she have a second chance mate? You're sure you saw them together in that way?" "Yes Alpha, he had his arms around her very protectively looking at the lake together. She had her head resting on him. We think he heard us because he looked in our direction. We got out of there before we could find out."

"Disgusting," I grunted. "That bi*ch thinks she can do this to me? She thinks she can humiliate me, and I'll just lay down and take it?"

"What are you talking about, Alpha?" Tyler asked.

"Never mind. Julia can take back her rejection because I haven't accepted it yet. We just need to get her back here somehow."

"How do you propose we do that? We can't just walk in and demand the Lycan King's mate."

"You don't even know if that is the King. We've never seen him before. It could have been some low level Lycan."

"Yes, Alpha, that is possible," lan said.

once.

"I want you to watch the border more, get as close as you can and bring me back any useful information. Now get out of my sight, both of you. I need to think about how to proceed." They didn't need a second telling; both jumped to their feet and left my office at "Maybe we can use Marvin or Sandra to draw her out. Use them as bate."

"All that will do is start a war between us and the Lycan's if we fail to kill the king. Based on past history, those usually don't end well for us."

"If what they're saying is true, then we need to be careful about this. I think we should have them watch the border more and gain more information. It just doesn't make sense. Lycan's don't mate with wolves."

"What if she put him under a spell?" Levi suggested.

"Don't be ridiculous. You know my dad banned her from using her powers."

"He also banned her from training, but from what the warriors said, it looks like Marvin was going against his orders."

"You think she's been practicing her powers?"

"It's possible."

"Then why didn't she use them on us?"

"Good point."

"This complicates things a lot. I thought she would just be hiding in a human town and easy to bring back. Damn*t." A knock on my office door got my attention.

"Come in," I said, instantly regretting it as I saw Alexis walk in.

"What do you want now, Alexis?"

"I want to talk to you. You can't just dump me like that and expect I'm going to walk away quietly. The hybrid is gone. Why are you doing this?"

"Alexis, I have better things to do than sit here and talk about this with you."

"No, you're going to talk to me! You're going to come back to your senses eventually! I won't wait around forever!"

"I wish you'd stop waiting around now."

"What is your problem?" She asked, placing her hands on her hips.

"At the moment, you're my problem. You came in here, insistent on talking when you know perfectly well, I don't want to be with you anymore. I already explained all of this to you." "Well, I don't accept your breakup."

"I hate to tell you, but that doesn't matter. I'm going to find my mate and bring her back here. She will be my Luna."

"THIS IS MY PACK AND I'M SUPPOSED TO BE THE LUNA!" she finally yelled at me.

"FOR THE LAST TIME, ALEXIS, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE THE LUNA OF THIS PACK! NOW GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!" I was letting my Alpha aura out now because I was so angry with her for thinking she could speak to me that way. She looked at me with a loathing look, her mouth opening and closing to yell back at me, but she couldn't. She turned on her heels and stormed very loudly out of my office. Slamming the door so hard, it shook the ceiling fan. I think she was madder because she lost her authority by not being with me. As the head warrior's daughter, she had respect, but as the Alpha's girlfriend, people feared her, and she loved that. Power was what she craved more than anything. What she wanted didn't matter to me anymore. All I had to think about was a way to get Julia out from under the hands of the Lycan. I needed to know for sure if it was the King she was with. It seemed impossible to me that it would happen. Why would she be mated to me, only to be mated to him days later? It had to be a mistake on lan and Tyler's part. They would bring me back more information soon, and then I would be able to make my plan of action.
