POV

The four of us were staring at the wolves of Logan, Tyler, and lan. This had to be some kind of joke, there was no way he had come back into Lycan territory planning another attack. All three of them were snarling and snapping their jaws, threateningly at us. "Why are they here?" Hannah asked in a group link. "They're probably pissed at what we did yesterday. I knew I should have killed him," I told them.

"We won't make that mistake twice," Alex replied.

"Alpha, do we need backup?" Elijah asked.

"No, this is between us and them. Three Lycans and an Alpha wolf can take on three rogues." Levi shifted, and I saw Logan standing there looking disheveled and slightly dirty. It didn't seem the one night he had to spend in the woods was agreeing with him. Sofia gave me back control so I could shift. I heard a loud growl from right next to me, as Alex's Lycan picked up and threw his t-shirt at me.

"I don't think our mate is happy with us being naked in front of them," Sofia snickered.

"He didn't care yesterday," I huffed, pulling the shirt over my head quickly.

"What do you want, Logan?" I called. He looked more than angry, he looked like he wanted nothing more than to rip my throat out and smile while doing it.

"What do I want?" he asked, throwing his head back and laughing. "I wanted you to be my mate, but now I think I'll settle for you dead, by my hand."

"Do you really think you can take on all of us?"

"We can and we will!"

"I showed you mercy by not killing you. Why would you come back and risk your life?"

"You think you can just humiliate me, strip me of my title, turn us into rogues, and we'd just go quietly? Your stupid mother killed my girlfriend, and your mate killed my father!"

"She was trying to kill me, and from what I recall, you dumped her. As for your father, he deserved everything that happened to him, just like you."

"It doesn't matter, they're dead because of you!" I realized Alex had shifted and was now standing next to me in nothing but his shorts.

"Logan, there's no way you're going to win against us. I suggest you turn around and leave before it's too late." Logan's face curled up into an evil grin, and he threw his head back laughing like an insane man.

"You seem confident for someone who couldn't even keep their mate safe from me!"

"Yet here she is, standing next to me marked as mine." I looked up at him and smiled. Looking back at Logan, he was staring at us with clenched fists and narrow eyes.

"You brought this on yourself, just remember that," he spat before shifting back to Levi. Pulling off my shift, I let Sofia have control and we shifted at the same time Alex did. Getting used to his huge Lycan standing on two feet next to me was going to take some time. Elijah and Hannah came up to my left side, squaring up with Logan and his only followers. The three of them came charging at us at top speed. The four of us charged back, with Hannah, Elijah, and Alex getting to them first with their long strides. Hannah collided with Tyler, Elijah with lan, and Alex took on Logan.

I watched as Hannah tossed Tyler to the side like a toy. She then went to help Elijah, but while she was distracted, Tyler advanced towards her. Sofia ran at him and slammed into him, sending him flying sideways. He got up, and came at us again, but before he got to us, Alex came and slashed him down the side with his claws. Tyler howled out in pain and fell down bleeding. Alex's Lycan picked Tyler up, and using the force of his arms, crushed his neck. Dropping his dead lifeless body to the ground.

"One down, two to go," I told him. As the words left my head, something large leapt on top of Sofia, pinning us to the ground. We felt sharp fangs pierce the back of our shoulders. Alex ran, and smashed his hand into the wolf, sending him flying backwards. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I think so," I told him, getting to my feet. Turning, I saw Logan getting to his feet. Looking to the right, I saw Hannah holding lan as Elijah came forward, placed his hands on either side of his head, twisting, effectively breaking his neck. Hannah dropped him to the ground and stepped over his limp body. The four of us lined up again, facing Levi, who was snarling. This time, Sofia was the first to charge. Both of us were eager to get this fight over with. We collided with Logan, biting him in the shoulder and digging our claws into his side. He growled at us and sank his claws into our side in return. Alex came up and punched him off us, sending him flying.

"You good?" he asked, bending down to look me over.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Logan and Levi were already charging at us again, but this time at Alex. He was ready though, diving out of the way of Levi's oncoming attack. Levi spun around and charged towards me. Alex reached out and caught his back legs swinging him in the air, only to slam him back to the ground. Levi stirred slightly on the ground, still in Alex's grasp. Sofia walked over to them, murder in her eyes. Alex held Levi in the air, while Sofia clamped her jaws around his neck. Just as she had done before, she shook her head violently, rendering Levi and Logan lifeless, finally ending our battle, and suffering once and for all. Alex dropped Logan to the ground and picked us up in a bear hug.

"You did it," Alex cheered in our head.

"We did it!" I told him. Hannah and Elijah came to stand by us, already shifted and with their clothes back on. Hannah was carrying the dress I had worn out here, while Elijah had Alex's shirt and shorts. We both took our clothes from them and went behind a tree to shift and change. When we came back out, Elijah and Hannah were smiling but also looking slightly worried. All the cuts and bites Sofia had received were already healed.

"Holy he**!" Elijah commented. "What in the name of the universe was that?!"

"Logan wanted revenge like he said, and he thought taking us on without any warriors would get him that." I looked over at the three dead men, now all shifted back to their human form. Alex came up behind me and wrapped me in his arms. "You did what you had to do." He could obviously sense my guilt at having killed someone.

"I know, but it doesn't make it any easier."

"You were amazing!" Hannah said, smiling at me. "You fought alongside us and held your own like a true Lycan!"

"There's something I wasn't expecting when I woke up this morning," I said.

"At least it's over now, truly over. Logan is never going to be able to hurt you again." Alex turned me around and hugged me tightly. "Elijah, will you go get Jason and a couple other warriors to help clean up the bodies?"

"Of course, what are you going to do?"

"We have to go talk to my mother before the elders show up."

"The elders are coming?" I asked, looking up at him.

"In three days, yes. Elijah and I talked to them. That's why we came to find you guys, we wanted to fill you in on what happened."

"What did happen?" I asked.

"We told Elder Stanley everything that happened." Alex began.

"Who's Elder Stanley?" I interrupted.

"He's the head elder. He's in charge of hearing an initial crime and deciding if it's worth their time or if it can be handled in the pack."

"Got it."

"After we told him everything that happened with my mother, he agreed it should be brought to trial. He said they had an opening in three days, so that's when they'll be here."

"The elders are coming here? All of them?" Hannah asked.

"It looks that way," Alex said.

"I don't think that's happened for a while." Hannah added.

"No, it hasn't, but this is a serious crime with a conflict of interest." Alex told us. "We can talk about this more later, Elijah, let's get these guys out of here."

"Yes, Alpha."

"I'll come with you," Hannah said.

"Thank you, guys," Alex added. They both smiled at us, before walking in the direction of the pack house.

"We have to let Marvin know what just happened," I told Alex.

"How about we go over there to see him after we go talk to my mom?"

"Okay, sounds like a plan."

"Are you ready to see my mother?" Alex then asked me.

"I think so, let me just find my shoes." I went to the water's edge to retrieve my sandals and put them on. Alex and I then walked hand in hand towards a large stone building behind the pack house I had never seen before. "I've never been in a pack dungeon before." "Don't worry, currently my mom is the only one down there." He took me by the hand and led me inside. It looked just like I always pictured a dungeon to look. The walls were stone, and after the guard opened the locked double doors, you were in a long hallway with barred doors on either side. There were about twenty cells in all.

"Wait just beyond the door to her cell, I want to surprise her."

"Okay." I followed him and stopped just short of her cell.

"Mother," he said, coming up to her door.

"Alexander, I'm so happy to see you! Are you here to finally get me out of here? It's just ridiculous you put me down here in the first place. I told you I did this for you. You should be thanking me. Have them take these chains off me at once." "I'm not here to get you out, and I certainly will never thank you, or unchain you. You had my mate taken from me. I came here to let you know the elders will be here in three days for a trial to decide your punishment." "The elders? You talked to the elders?"

"I did, and they agreed this matter is too great for me to decide on my own. Expect to be taken out of here in three days and brought to the conference room to face your punishment."

"At least the filthy hybrid is finally gone, now you can find a Lycan to be your mate. I guess I helped you after all."

"Who said she was gone?" Alex reached out a hand to me, which I took and came into view. The look on her face when she saw me was the most satisfying thing I'd seen. Margaret's face flashed from surprise, to disgust, to rage. "How......?" Was all she asked.

"I told you, you couldn't fu*k up the bond of the Lycan King. Logan is dead, Julia is safe, and now you're going to face the rath of the elders." Margaret said nothing as Alex led me away from her cell and back outside to a beautiful summer's day.
