Julianna's

POV

Alex took me by the hand and led me from Marvin's room, after giving Cornelia and Vincent a few minutes' head start. "Wow, I didn't see that coming!" Sofia said, smiling.

"I know! But it's great!"

"Can you believe that just happened?" I asked Alex as we exited the hospital.

"It's amazing how the Moon Goddess can bring people together, even in the strangest of circumstances," he said.

"I wanna know more about him," I said.

"I'm sure he'll be more than happy to introduce himself properly after him and Cornelia have talked."

"Talked.... Right, that's definitely what they're gonna do," Sofia laughed.

"Oh, gross!" I shouted at her, not wanting to think about them doing anything like that. She laughed at having thoroughly grossed me out. When Alex and I got into the pack house, I expected to keep walking to the dining hall, but he quickly pulled me into a small closet I had never seen before. Tripping over some cleaning supplies, I looked at him confused, about to ask him what the he** he was doing. That's when I noticed his eyes were black with l**t, as lan pushed to the surface. He grabbed me under my a** and pushed me up against the wall, using his body weight to pin me there, as I instinctively wrapped my legs around his waist.

"lan, what are you doing?" I asked, confused by his sudden need to have me.

"Mate, mine," he breathed, burying his head in my neck and inhaling my scent.

"Julia, are you okay? He just suddenly took over and I can't get control back. I think the full moon is tomorrow. That makes a Lycan stronger than usual. I don't think I told you that."

"I'm fine," I moaned out as lan took his hand and began running his fingers up my thigh as he kissed my mark, all while starting to rub his torso into my already wet core.

"Hey, that's my Lycan!" Sofia whined, attempting to also push her way to the surface. I pushed her down, refusing to let her ruin this moment with her whining. She growled at me and pouted as lan pushed my dress further up my leg, getting dangerously close to my core, which was throbbing for his touch. Ian crashed his lips onto mine roughly, as he pinned me harder into the wall. Ian elongated his claw, intent on ripping my underwear from my body. After this, I was going to have to ask them to stop doing that, or I was going to run out of clothes. His clawed hand was holding onto my hip under my dress, sending shock wave after shock wave of pleasure through me. Before we could go any further, however, my mom's voice rang out in my head.

"Marvin's awake!!" she screamed. My eyes snapped open, at the same time lan looked at me, his eyes flashing from black back to their normal blue, letting me know he had given control back to Alex. He set me back on my feet as he opened the door to the closet. We both took off out of the pack house and to the hospital not needing to exchange any words. Bursting back into his room, I saw my mom and Beth near the foot of Marvin's bed, as Dr. Williams and Jovie were removing his breathing tube. Standing next to my mom, I watched Marvin cough as the tube was removed. He still looked very pale, but the fact that he was awake, and breathing was a miracle. A minute or two after Alex and I arrived, Abigail, Colson, Jordyn, Hendrix, Hannah, and Elijah steamrolled through the doors, yelling loudly.

"SHHH!!" Beth yelled, quieting everyone in an instant.

"Da*n, can we learn to do that when we have kids?" Sofia asked. I ignored her as I watched Marvin blink a few times, attempting to take in his surroundings.

"Alpha Marvin, my name is Dr. Williams. I'm the doctor of the Crystal Sky pack, which is where you are currently. Do you know what happened to you?" Marvin groaned slightly, and then opened his eyes, looking around at all of us. "Can you hear me, Alpha?" Dr. Williams asked. Marvin nodded a few times. "Do you remember anything?"

"Yes," he whispered. Jovie took the glass of water from his bedside table and held the straw to his lips, allowing him to drink.

"Good," Dr. Williams replied.

"Marvin, sweetheart," Beth cooed, coming to stand by his head.

"Beth," he said, looking at her.

"I'm so happy you're awake. Abigail and Jordyn are here too," she told him, gesturing to the girls.

"Hi dad," Jordyn said with a teary smile.

"What do you remember about what happened?" Beth asked him.

"I remember being in my office and having a drink. After that, I started to feel weird and when I woke up, I was with the Moon Goddess."

"You... You were with who?" Beth stammered, not able to believe what he was saying. The Moon Goddess never revealed herself to anyone, except if they were dying, and she was there to take them to the land of the wolves before us. Or if they were in a dire situation, she felt needed her assistance.

"The Moon Goddess. I woke up in complete darkness, but soon it turned to a bright white light when she arrived. She helped me remember everything that happened. She also told me I was dying and gave me a choice. I could go with her or stay and fight. I told her I wasn't finished yet with my life. My family needed me. She shoved me back and I was tumbling back through the darkness, then I woke up again and I was here." The room was so silent, you could hear a pin drop.

"But why did she give you a choice if you were dying?" Jordyn asked.

"She told me I had done great things with my life by protecting Julia and helping her escape Logan."

"She's right," I told him. "You've done a lot of wonderful things for me and my family."

"I'd like to run a few more tests," Dr. Williams interrupted. "But his cognitive functions seem to be intact. Are you able to communicate with your wolf?"

"No, not right now."

"That's alright. It's probably just a lingering effect of the silver. Jovie, will you collect a few more blood samples."

"Yes, doctor."

"I'll come and check on you in a couple of minutes," he said, while Jovie began drawing Marvin's blood and filling a few vials. Once they had left the room, we all looked back at Marvin.

"Do you have any idea who did this to you?" Alex asked.

"I wish I did, but no. The whiskey I drank had been sitting on my desk, and I had had a glass two days before and nothing happened."

"How are we gonna track down who did it?" my mom asked.

"I'm not sure we're gonna be able to," I told her. "It seems unlikely anyone in that pack is willing to snitch on who did it. And for all we know, it could have been Dr. Andrews."

"Marvin, what do you want to do about this? Someone in your pack tried to murder you," Alex said.

"I know, but I'm not sure what to do at the moment."

"I think we need to give him some time to recover," Beth said. "We can talk about this more in a couple of days." She was right, Marvin had just woken up and was still seemingly feeling the effects of the silver and wolfsbane. He was safe as long as he was here, so figuring out who did this could wait a few more days. Suddenly, the door to Marvin's room opened and in walked Vincent and Cornelia, both smiling and looking slightly disheveled.

"Told you they weren't just talking," Sofia mocked.

"We heard that Marvin was awake," Vincent said in his deep voice.

"I am, what are you two doing together?" he asked, confused.

"Cornelia is my mate," Vincent told Marvin.

"Oh!" he said, looking from Cornelia to Vincent. "That's wonderful, congratulations."

"Thank you," Cornelia said, smiling at Vincent.

"It's good to see you Marvin, it's been a long time," Vincent told him. "We were all very worried about you."

"I'm not sure we're completely out of the woods yet," Marvin told him.

"Dad, can we just enjoy this moment?" Jordyn asked.

"Of course, sweetheart," he said, opening his arms to her. She went and gave him a hug, followed by Abigail, who had been surprisingly quiet.

"Why don't we give you some time alone," Alex suggested, looking at me.

"Absolutely, you can mind link me if you need us," I told them. I followed Alex out of the room, followed by my mom, Elijah, Hannah, Cornelia, and Vincent.

"Vincent, you can stay," Cornelia told him. "You're family."

"I'll talk to him later, right now I'd rather be with you, mate." I watched Cornelia blush, and it was crazy to see this composed woman all giddy like she was eighteen again. "How about I take you on a tour of the grounds?" Cornelia suggested.

"Make sure to take him by the lake," Alex said, winking at me. They walked away from us hand and hand, and Alex put his arm around my shoulder.

"It's nice seeing her so happy," he said.

"I know she deserves this so much," Hannah added.

"So, what are we gonna do now?" Elijah asked.

"Well, I should probably take a few minutes to actually do the hole Alpha thing and run this pack," Alex laughed.

"Do you mind if I take Julia and work on her Luna ceremony plans?" my mom asked.

"Be my guest," Alex said.

"We need to do that now?" I asked her.

"Why not? Marvin's awake and we're not planning on doing anything with October Moon for a couple of days. Why not take the opportunity while we have it?"

"Alright, why not?" I agreed, letting her link her arm in mine. We walked in the direction of my apartment.

"I'm coming too!" Hannah yelled from behind us, running to link her arm with my free one.

"Have fun!" Alex yelled. I turned to see him and Elijah walking towards the pack house. I don't know why, but I was suddenly struck with an overwhelming feeling like something bad was about to happen.
