Chapter 14

Luna POV

The wolves take my husband into our home to care for his body and prepare him for his funeral. As Lu to begin preparing my son for his service as Alpha. He thinks he does not need his mother. He does not I am not stupid. There is no way things went the way he said they did. He is lying to the pack and me. as pack Alpha seriously. He cannot marry or mate with a tramp.

I go into the house. The wolves have already taken my husband, Theo, and Jackson to prepare the body. There is little time. The sun will be up soon, and they need to be ready. I go into our room to dress in mourning attire. I need to look the part of a mourning widow Luna. I am not mourning. I hated him. I only married him because my father and his father thought it was a good fit. It united our packs and made us stronger. Oh, Alpha did worship me, but I felt nothing for him. I still do not feel anything for him. I go into my closet and pull out an all-black dress for the funeral. After the funeral, all three men will be cremated and released into the earth per our pack tradition. My son will be Alpha, and I, his dutiful mother, will be by his side.

I finish getting dressed when Erick pulls up in his father's truck. I hear screaming. I am ready for this. I have waited years to humiliate Karen in front of the pack, and today is my day. I knew about the affair. I never cared. I had my experiences to keep me busy and satisfied. Finding a wolf willing to go behind Alpha's back and bed his wife was easy. I enjoyed fucking wolves that hated my husband. It made the sex so intense.

I go out onto the porch as Erick drags Karen across the yard to bring her to me. "What is going on now I ask him.

"I told you I was going to get the slut so she could see the damage she has caused," Erick screams. I have never seen him this angry before today. He throws Karen at my feet.

"I know about her affair with my husband, son. It is nothing new. Your father was a mighty warrior. He needed other women, and I never interfered with any of the affairs," I say, smirking at Karen.

Alpha only had one affair, and it was with her, but I didn't want her to think she was special. I want her to believe she was one of many.

"That is not true. He loved me," Karen cries at my feet.

I bend down and grab her by the chin. "Then why weren't you chosen to be his mate?" I ask her.

Karen pulls away from me. "You know why. He was forced to marry you, but he never loved you. I was his only love," Karen says.

Karen looks at me as she tries to crawl away from me. She pulls herself to her feet, grabbing onto Erick's leg. He shakes her off but then changes his heart and helps her up. He has got to get some balls about him if he is going to be our Alpha.

Erick grabs Karen by her arms and looks into her eyes. "Tell her the truth Karen, if you want to live," Erays to her. What the hell is he talking about right now? I already know about the affair.

Karen backs up, trying to put some distance between us. "We have a son. His name is Austin," Karen says.

"WHAT!" I scream at her. Erick steps in between us. "Did you know?" I ask Erick. Erick smiles at me and looks around at the other wolves around us. "Of course, everyone knows. Well, except you," Erick says to me. I look at the other wolves who hang their heads down as I try to look into their eyes. I want to see the betrayal in each of them.

"I will kill your bastard wolf and you little bitch!" I scream at her. I run toward her, but Erick stops me. "I keep my word, mother. She told the truth, so she gets to live," Erick says to me.

"I am the Luna of this pack. I want one of you wolves to kill this bitch and her child!" I scream.

Erick takes me into his arms and holds me tightly. He kisses the top of my head so lovingly. My dear sweet son, you will protect the pack and me. He pushes me away from him and looks into my eyes. "You were the Luna of this pack. Now you are the mother of the Alpha. I want you out of my house," Erick says to me.

"I am your mother!" I scream at him.

"No, you are just the woman who gave birth to me. You have made my life hell and everyone around you miserable," Erick says.

"Where will I go?" I ask him.

"The omega house would be a good place for you. I want you there as soon as we cremate my father. I will be moving them somewhere else," Erick says to me.

"I am not an omega! I am the Luna!" I scream at him.

"Not anymore, mother," Erick says calmly.

He motions for Andrew to come over. "Make sure she packs up everything that is hers and leaves this house tonight as soon as my father is cremated. I want her in the omega house by dark. I have some business to attend to, and then I will be back," Erick says to Andrew.

"Yes, Alpha," Andrew says to Erick.

"I want you out of my life, mother," Erick says.

I run at him. I slap him across the face. He grabs my hands and holds me in front of him. He has my wrists so tight I feel the bone-cracking. "It is over," Erick says to me.

Andrew pulls me away as I scream at Erick. Erick does not look back. He puts Karen in the truck and leaves with her as I am dragged into the house to pack up my things. I know he is planning to bring that tramp back here. I may have to take this now, but I will have my say. I will get back at him and his tramp for tossing me out of my home.
