Chapter 42

When we pull there is about twelve people waiting for us including the beta and his wife along with some warriors. They were standing in front of the packhouse like they were waiting for someone important or someone new. I was surprised to see that each had a smile on their face because I was bringing a whole other pack to their territory. I wondered where my Alpha in training, Sandra, was but she showed up a minute later looking stressed out but no hair was out of place and that made me laugh.

“How do you keep your hair in place when the rest of you looks so frazzled?” I gave her a huge hug right after asking her. I could hear her sigh of relief and a small giggle.

“I might tell you my secret if you don’t run off to take over any more packs. I was so lost yesterday with the pack needs and getting the houses ready here. I may need a nap before the barbeque.” She whispered the last part like it was a failure on her part. I was not going to stand for that.

“Take a dang nap if you need it. You worked hard for two packs and one pack is hard enough. Plus all of this was thrown on you and the old Alpha couldn’t even keep his s**t together. Remember the state of the files in the cabinet and on the old as s**t laptop?” We had cleaned out the office for the alpha and it was in horrible shape. I feel like he didn’t give two shits that they lost money everyday for the stupidest reasons and someone was stealing money weekly from one of their accounts. i***t.

“Your right. How about you introduce the pack and we can get this unification on the road?” She smiled knowing I had forgotten all about it in my haste to see her.

I stepped back and walked back to my mates. I looked to see if all the trucks were there and everyone was out. It ended up being about twenty pack members including three kids. I nodded to them with a smile to help ease some of their nerves.

“Ok so the pack I have brought with me is the Blue Lunar Pack, which’s former Alpha was Josiah. They have had some vampire attacks while waiting for me to replace Josiah and it left them weak. It is my fault and I have learned my lesson. Unfortunately they don’t have enough members to keep themselves safe nor anyone dominate enough to be the Alpha. They have agreed to a unification of the packs and I think it would be for the best of both packs. The war is starting again and we need everyone in order to right everything.” I looked between the two Beta’s and they both nodded that they agreed. It made me smile. “Ok lets introduce you guys to the pack and get them a tour of where everything is and where they will be living. If they is any problems or concerns for anyone let me know and we can see about finding a solution.” I walked over to Beta Alistair and started the introductions.

While Sandra and the Beta’s took the pack for a tour I had Trixie come with me help make a quick lunch for everyone so they could eat it as they unpacked and got ready for the fun night. She was so excited to make sandwiches and we snacked on everything to make sure it was safe for everyone else to eat.

“Hey Trixie. I have a question for you?” I looked over at her and she smiled back with a mouth full of cheese. She nodded yes. “I know you miss your parents a lot and it just happened so it is still raw but I was wondering if you would like to meet my parents and maybe stay with them for a bit?” I wanted to tell her how excited Blue and I were for her to be our sister but she didn’t need that pressure.

“Move away from pack? I scared. Mason need me.” She stared to cry so I pulled her into my arms as we slid to the floor.

“Shhh.. It is going to be ok. All of your current pack is staying at this pack for good. So we will be one pack and you will be a part of it. I just thought my parents could spoil you and take good care of you. You would still come here almost daily to see everyone and Mason would be here waiting for you. They would love to meet you tomorrow.” She was still crying but I wasn’t for sure if it was missing her parents or me even bringing this up. It is hard on adults let alone a damn two year old and I didn’t know how to go about it. I couldn’t just take her there and say this is your house now but she deserved someone to always be there and not get lost in the pack.

“You my new mommy?” she looked up like that would be an okay idea but I was not ready for kids. I needed to end this war first but I was ready for a sibling.

“No I am not your new mommy but how about your new sister? My mommy can be yours so we share her and daddy plus a house!” Blue’s eyes lit up at this and she did a happy wolf dance that made her butt shake a bit. What can I say my wolf is a dork.

“YEAH! “She squeezed me tighter and started screaming about how happy she was.

“Great. For now lets finish this lunch before the group gets here and tomorrow I will take you over there to see what you think. I will have mom make you a cake for being so good!” She nodded and raced back over to the counter to finish up her job of putting mayo on the bread. I couldn’t want to call my mom with the good news but it would have to wait I needed to get some stuff ready for tonight.

The food was demolished before they could even think about taking it back to their new places of residence and it made Trixie so happy. For tonight Trixie was going to stay with Mason’s family and tomorrow if all goes well she will be moving in with my parents. Alistair had talked it over with the pack and let them know about our plan. They all agreed with it. They hated that they couldn’t take her in but all of the families were dealing with grief and just couldn’t focus on that type of commitment. I understood. Although if my parents had said no then I would be taking her in and my mates would have to stuff it if they didn’t like it.

I went upstairs to get ready while the warriors took everyone to unpack. Blake wanted to join me in a shower but I told him tonight would be here soon enough. He howled with excitement and went to his own bedroom. I messaged my mom about finding a bed big enough for all of us comfortably and one that wouldn’t take over a living room. She laughed at me before starting her research. She liked to shop and would only get the best deal so I knew I was in good hands. I wondered if they would give us a small cottage since I wasn’t going to stay Alpha. I needed to talk to Sandra about it. I hoped to keep a house here even if we were gone. Once the war was done we would live in the palace but I would be here a lot since we all had our roots here.

The BBQ was a huge hit. All of the different pack members blended so well. Even the Beta’s were hanging out and still got along after I told them my idea of him helping and learning until he could fight for her right to be the next Beta. I think Julian was ready to retire and his mate was past being ready since she kept elbowing him and telling him how much fun it would be to be retired. I learned a few new wolf games between the just turned kiddos and from the adult wolves. I lost most of the time but was totally worth it. The food was amazing, and I had so many plates I had a food baby for a few hours afterwards. My mates had them as well and I had to take a picture. I made it my screensaver which made them grown in embarrassment.

The packs were great with each other especially the kids. The raging moon pack had probably about twenty kids ranging from a few months to twelve years old. Trixie had a group of girls playing with her and she was loving it. Mason found another boy or two to follow himself. The Last kiddo’s name from Blue lunar is Trey and he was seven. He made bestie with a boy who looked like trouble. The adults were nervous at first but it went great. The best news of the night was one of the warriors who weren’t at the front waiting for us found a mate with one of the omega’s in the new group. We have another reason to celebrate and I was happy for them. They didn’t stay at the barbeque long and I didn’t blame them. It might be time for my exit pretty soon.
