The Last Royal Luna -
Chapter 63
After being congratulated by most of the pack and having some of the warriors take Melanie’s body away to be buried we all headed home. My mates will be meeting me there so my mother and father are walking with me before heading to get Trixie from the Pack daycare. They opened for this occasion so the little ones didn’t have to see this. Tracy and her sister were going to be staying the next few days at my parents house. I would be taking care of her parents in a couple days. I made sure they were part of the group who went to the dungeons.
They kept talking and getting my involved so that I wouldn’t get into my own head. I hated killing but crazy b***h got what was coming. I explained to them this time I actually waited too long to handle it. I gave them hugs before heading into my house and watched them walk back toward the packhouse while all I was thinking about was a hot bath and my big comfy bed. I have no clue who is sleeping in there with me but they are going to cuddle me and just be happy with that.
I had fallen asleep after my bath but woke up to my mates trying to be quiet but failing. They sounded like a heard of big foots who squeaked like a bunch of mice. I know they were trying to get each other to be quiet or arguing about who was going to lay next to me so it was kind of cute but I was a grumpy girl right now.
“Would you all shut the hell up! I need more sleep so I can function. Just lay the hell down and go to sleep. We can figure out a sleeping schedule in a few days!” I turned over wrapping the blanket around me tighter and going back to sleep. I never heard another peep so I assumed they listened.
I woke up surrounded by the guys still in their clothes from yesterday passed out in the most random positions. I smiled and took a deep breath so I could get heir perfect mix of scents into my memory for the day but instead I smelt straight s**t, b***d, vomit, and who knows what else. I shoved an arm off me and rushed off the bed before I added to the vomit smell. They didn’t even move so I just left them. I will let them know what they are washing later because I am not doing it.
I look at the clock and it is only 6am. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs for some coffee before a quick run to get my b***d moving. I needed to meet up with Alistair and Julian to search the houses. I would rather play this close to heart since I don’t know who else in the pack was more than believing the traitors. I decided to text my mom and ask her to bring dad to search the houses with us. She agreed and Trixie was excited to see her friends at the pack daycare.
‘Hey Betas. Lets meet at my house at 8am for a quick coffee and to make a plan on who searches what house. I want to play this close to the vest if you don’t mind. Just until we see how the pack does the next few days.’ I linked them before changing into work out clothes. Blue was upset that I wasn’t letting her out to run but I needed to use my human muscles for now.
‘Sounds good. You have the better creamer anyway! One day I am going to steal it!’ Julian snickers.
‘Forget it! My mom buys it for me from her favorite store and I am keeping it a secret!’ I tease back. Blue is just shaking her head at
us.
‘Fine. Ill be there at eight to use it all up.’ Julian says as he ends his side of the link.
‘He is such a dork. He is almost a food snob and we are wolves who eat raw meat!’ Alistair jokes. It makes me laugh. ‘Ill be there at before eight to hide the creamer.’ He ends the link with a chuckle.
“Why are you up so early?” Knox asks as he steps from the doorway. I jumped at his voice and had to hold my hand near my racing heart.
“What the hell? Your like a damn mouse when you walk in the house! Your this close to getting a collar with a bell on it!” I threaten him.
“Kinky. I am down to try anything once with you, baby.” He winks before making himself a cup of coffee.
I just shake my head and go back to drinking my coffee. I put my empty cup in the sink, change into my running clothes, k**s Knox on the cheek, and head outside. I heard him follow me like I knew he would so I just ignored it. Once I started stretching I heard more steps.
“You linked them, didn’t you?” I glare at Knox and he actually looks embarrassed as he should. I am not a weak little girl.
“Yea.. With everything that happened yesterday I didn’t want to chance it.” The guys made it out changed and looking tired.
“So instead of discussing it with the person who was attacked you just decided you knew best?” I stood up looking at all of them.
“It’s called communication and that fact that all of you came down here to do as he said means you agree with him. Glad to know my feelings or thoughts don’t mean s**t to any of you.” Before they could reply, I turned and ran off full blast. I didn’t give a s**t if they followed or not. I didn’t have anything else to say to them.
After an hour run of me ignoring them and turning a different direction to run when they caught up to me I made it back to the house. I went upstairs to the shower, locked the door, and took my time getting cleaned and ready. I was trying to calm down but I was already dealing with s**t from yesterday and now my own mates thought I couldn’t do anything myself. I would have been fine with them running with me if we had spoke of their concerns or if they just wanted to spend time with me. I hated when people did things behind my back or doing things, they think are best because they think they are the ones in the right.
It was time for me to head downstairs to meet with everyone, but I was dreading it. I took my time walking down the stairs into the quiet but full kitchen. I grabbed me some more coffee and a cookie before facing everyone. My mates faces differed from sad, to feeling bad, to angry, and even smirking like this was nothing to them. I turned toward the Betas and ignored my mates.
“Thanks for coming Julian. Alistair. My parents are on their way and should be here any minute.” My front door opened and I smelled my parents. I took a lungful of their scents and relaxed a bit. “Well they are here now so let’s decide who goes to what house so we can decide the best form of punishment.” My parents each poured a cup of coffee before joining the conversation.
“What all will be looking for and what rooms should we look at mainly?” My dad asked.
“I think we are looking to see if they traded information with other packs or our main enemies. So computers, phones, mail, safes, and anything suspicious. But don’t overlook anything.” Alistair stated and I nodded in agreement.
“I plan on taking Melanie’s parents house along with the Beta’s. My mother, father, and Asher can take Lindsey’s parents house. Andrew, Blake, and the twins can take Emilies family home. Deal?” I could tell they all noticed I decided not to have any of my mates with me. I hope they understand they are all in the doghouse until they realized communication is all it would of taken. They showed me they don’t trust my decisions or respect my choices.
“Hey Ryder before we all head out can we talk to you?” Blake asked and I nodded. Everyone but my mates headed outside to wait.
“Ok. Talk.” I leaned my side on a counter keeping my distance.
