The Last Time I Loved Him (Autumn and Ryan) -
Chapter 62
Chapter 3
In Germany, Professor Murphy took me to an exclusive gathering. "Tonight, they're showcasing the 'Tears of Heaven' jewelry, number 249. Take a look around; only industry elites are attending tonight." A few elderly gentlemen greeted Professor Murphy and then invited
him upstairs for tea. Not wanting to intrude, I stayed behind in the hall.
The lights dimmed around the stage, leaving only a warm yellow spotlight focused on the display of the "Tears of Heaven" jewelry piece. After the host introduced its background, they announced, "Now, let's welcome the designer of 'Tears of Heaven'- Winston." Several girls nearby lit up with excitement.
"Oh my god! That's the designer of 'Tears of Heaven,' he's so handsome!"
"Look at that gem, crystal-clear with a small, upside-down triangular moon in the center. There's a little girl sitting on the moon, with a boy quietly watching her from the side-such creativity!"
"I heard he usually avoids these events. Why did he show up tonight?"
The host invited Winston to say a few words. His gaze scanned the audience, then lingered in one spot, a faint smile forming on his lips.
"This necklace was inspired by a pure-hearted, kind girl. The piece symbolizes that, no matter what choices she makes, the boy will always be by her side. As long as she looks back, he'll be there."
One of the girls beside me leaned
over and whispered, "Miss, I feel like Winston on stage keeps looking at you." Startled, I looked up at him. With his thick, dark hair and a sharp black
ek suit-two buttons undone on his shirt, revealing a strikingly attractive jawline-he looked almost untouchable. I shook my head, brushing it off. "You must be mistaken. I don't know him well."
We'd only met about five times, always for academic reasons, never for anything personal.
During the free interaction session, Winston had just stepped down from the stage when he was immediately surrounded by industry veterans praising his talent.
asking questions, I didn't t approach. Instead, I picked up a glass of red wine and settled in a quiet corner, mulling over my goals for the next few years.
Surrounded by elitelne
Suddenly, a pair of polished leather shoes appeared before me.
Winston casually took the seat opposite me.
"Vivian, long time no see. Professor Murphy told me you're here in Germany for three years of advanced study, right? If you ever need any help, feel free to ask."
Trying to keep my wits about me despite the effects of the wine, I replied calmly, "Yes, I don't plan on going back anytime soon." I stood up, slightly dizzy, intending to leave.
Just then, Professor Murphy appeared and instructed Winston, "Vivian's had a bit much. Please take her back for me; I trust you. I still have some old friends to catch up with." I quickly tried to wave him off, "No nee-" "Sure," Winston replied, striding over and grabbing my bag from me. "Let's go, I'll take you home."
Professor Murphy leaned in and whispered, 'Vivian, this young man has a solid character, much better than that troublemaker you knew. Spend some time with him. If I could I swim back across the ocean, I'd give that kid a piece of my mind for keeping you tied down for seven years!" He added with a smile, "Winston has a gift for design, just like you. Feel free to ask him for guidance whenever you need it."
