Oddly I have been thinking of Eleanor Winters more and more lately..seeing her magnificent wolf’s wide eyes as she fell down the waterfall..it was something that still haunted my dreams. I had my men look for her down the riverbank but we found nothing..she was gone. Luckily the Alpha didn’t punish me too badly..he was pretty pissed that seven people got away but the fact that his w***e Lucy stuck around made it a little easier.

Then what do you know…we come to Night Shade for the party..coming to meet the king’s new mate and guess who showed up back from the dead…I felt her presence the moment I stepped into the room..my pretty little Elle..she looked even more stunning than I remembered. f**k was she gorgeous, seeing her now silver hair and that little dress she wore..I don’t know how the hell she got here but I plan on not letting her go this time. In fact..I’m going to mark her as soon as f*****g possible..I see how these other men are looking at her, how they all want what is mine. No way in hell would I let her go again..

I quickly gripped her arms, her turquoise eyes full of tears as I looked down at her. I wondered for a moment if she was found by the traffickers after all. Maybe she was here to be part of the entertainment. A part of me grew furious..imagining another man touching what is mine.

I reached up, my fingers about to brush her cheek as a hand came out of nowhere, gripping my wrist.

“I would advise you not to touch what belongs to the king.” A man with Black hair gritted through his teeth. I recognized him as one of the King’s a*****e betas right away.

So..she was traded after all. She must be one of the King’s whores..shit..this might be harder than I thought. I quickly yanked my harm away, looking at the beta as I tried my not to get intimidated by his aura. It was f*****g hard not to though, that’s for sure.

“I believe there was some misunderstanding. I know this woman, she is intended to be my chosen mate.” I explained, thinking it should be no big deal..considering the Alpha king probably has many more women at his disposal.

Eleanor’s eyes widened, hearing me call her my chosen mate shocking her..it was f*****g adorable. I tried to link her to step away from that man. Shit..she already broke the bond with B***d Moon. Well, no problem…I can just swear her back in after I mark her.

Suddenly the Beta began to laugh, really laugh as he pulled Eleanor back into him. Annoyance filled her expression as a low growl left me..who the hell does he think he is? Just because he is the King’s Beta it doesn’t mean he can take what’s mine.

“I’m sorry, that was just f*****g hilarious..you have some balls for trying to claim the King’s mate. Maybe just don’t let him hear that though, because I have a feeling those balls would be swiftly cut off.” He smirked and my jaw hit the fuckign floor..the King’s mate?!
