Seeing Eleanor humiliated like that did something to me..something deep inside and I was f*****g pissed. It took everything in me not to murder Lance and that other a*****e…

After escorting Eleanor towards, the back room, I called Jane to bring her a more suitable dress to change into. I knew what Lance was doing but it was a total d**k move. I don’t know what the hell I am even doing..I keep trying to tell myself it’s all a part of the plan but deep down I feel like it’s unraveling every single time I see her. I know exactly what it’s like to be humiliated, to be treated like you are merely an object being used. Seeing Eleanor and hearing what was going on..I couldn’t let her be treated like that. To be talked about and have vicious rumors spread around about her. Don’t they realize who she is? what she is capable of?

Why did that bother me so much? Why was it something that I wanted to hurt those who mumbled a single word about my mate…

‘Lance, meet me in the study now.’

I snapped into the link. My frustration grew by the second.

‘Sure thing.’

He responded nonchalantly, pissing me off more. What the hell was his deal?

I paced in the room, trying not to lunge at him the moment I saw him. When the door opened I stopped, my hands clenched into fists as I couldn’t contain it anymore. I stepped forward, punching Lance in the face as my breathing grew ragged.

“What the hell were you thinking?” I roared, trying my hardest to keep Titus from ripping my Beta to shreds.

Lance wiped his l*p, b***d dripping down his chin as a smirk pulled at his lips.

“You seem to not realize what the Moon Goddess has blessed you with…I was trying to remind you.” He shrugged, acting like it was no big deal.

“You have no right to interfere with anything involving my mate. I honestly have given you a lot of leeway Lance, because I thought you genuinely cared for Eleanor’s well-being..after this…I don’t want you to so much as talk to her.”

I said firmly, meaning every word.

“You don’t think I do? I have watched out for this girl since the moment I met her…I just want you to open your f*****g eyes. To see what you are letting pass by because you feel like you don’t deserve it. We all know that’s why you really push her away because you think you aren’t worthy just from the b***d running through your veins.” He yelled and I have had enough, I was about to kill him..he knows nothing..he knows absolutely nothing.

“I suggest you watch your tongue..or you might not have one pretty soon.” I threatened through gritted teeth..taking every ounce of patience I had left and trying not to murder my own Beta.

Lance straightened his back, putting his hands into his pockets as he looked at me seriously.

“I know what I did was childish, and Elle is already pissed at me to make me more than regret it..but you need to understand something Damion, she isn’t going to stand around forever, waiting for you to finally give a shit..and if you don’t claim her, someone else will.” And with that he turned in his heel, leaving me alone to sit with that thought..no..that truth..if I reject her, there is no doubt that the moon goddess would give her a second chance..but would I be strong enough to watch her take it..no f*****g way in hell.
