(Damion pov)

I watched my beautiful mate as she stood by the kitchen counter while mixing something in a bowl. It took another hour just to leave our bed, my hands unable to stop touching her. I never in my life thought I would be this comfortable around someone. The fact that I am even sharing a bed with her and want to spend every second around her, it’s all so new to me.

I don’t ever want to compare Eleanor to my fake mate Regina, but I only let her into my bed once, and she got me really drunk the night before..then I woke up to a knife pressed to my throat. Yeah, this is way different compared to that..but sadly that’s all I have to go off of.

So you can see why I’m more surprised than anyone that Titus has accepted Eleanor so fully and wants to protect her with our life. A little while ago, she was finally able to slip out from under me and made a run for the kitchen. I chased right behind her, wrapping my arms around her small frame and lifting her into the air. I quickly threw her over my shoulder like a f*****g caveman and spanked her perfect a*s. The beautiful sound of laughter filled the air as I rubbed her firm cheeks gently, trying to ease the sting.

“Damion, if we don’t eat I won’t live much longer.” She gasped between laughs.

“Fine.” I grumbled, placing her down and holding her waist possessively. She quickly lifted on her toes and gave me a small peck on my lips, trying to pull away to start cooking. I looked down at her, frowning as I shook my head no.

“Darling, we can do better than that.” I chastised her before crashing down. My mouth devoured her lips with a deep growl as I cupped her butt with my palms, claiming what was mine.

We pulled away breathlessly, our bodies in sync as if we were one. This bond was the most amazing thing I had ever felt in my life..why didn’t I just accept it sooner..

‘See..I told you. Now it’s my turn next.’

Titus snarled, he was ready to complete his side of the bond and claim Kari as his own now as well.

‘Soon Titus..soon.’

I linked back, feeling lighter than ever and actually thankful for meeting Eleanor..this has been the most understanding Titus has ever been with me..it’s nice to be civil for once.

I looked over at my mate as she wore one of my t-shirts..it hung down to her thighs and she looked f*****g sexy as hell. How did I get so lucky again? She had to be the most beautiful woman in this realm..seriously.

I watched her closely, observing her every move as she expertly cracked the eggs into a bowl. The way she moved through the kitchen seemed more like a dance than anything and damn was she good at it.

I walked up behind her, unable to stop myself as I wrapped my arms around her waist, peering over her head at what she was doing.

“Do you need any help?” I inquired my voice a lot more huskier than I intended.

She quickly cleared her throat and bumped her butt into me. Causing my c**k to stir immediately as I inhaled her scent sharply. f**k, I was craving her sweet p***y already..

“You relax, I want to do this for you.” She smiled happily, seeing the way she looked at me causing butterflies to rush through me as I tried not to make a damn scene. How could one little smile render me completely speechless? I felt like a f*****g hormonal teenager right now.

I kissed the back of her head, watching how my mate moved with ease as I was practically attached to her the whole time.

Every thing she did seemed second nature to her as a soft hum to a random tune filled the air and made my heart swell immensely. I really have never been with someone so warm and comforting before..not since my mother and sister.

She continued to work as I held onto her from behind, watching as she flipped the omelet and folded it in half. It was huge but werewolves can eat a lot..so this would be more than enough for two.

“Do you cook much?” She asked curiously as she continued her tast with ease.

“I can make toast..that’s about it.” I laughed, I pretty much ate whatever the kitchen made me..Jane was such a good cook too so I never had any qualms.

“I’m sure it’s the best damn toast in the world.” She smirked, teasing me as I bent down, biting her shoulder in response.

“Ow, what was that for?” She yelped, laughing beneath me.

“That’s your punishment for teasing me.” I grumbled against her skin.

“Being naughty gets me bit..I will keep that in mind.” Her smirk grew even wider as I couldn’t help but bite this little vixen once more..she was fiery today.

Suddenly, I felt Lucas trying to reach me through my link. I let out a long sigh, feeling annoyed already..Knowing it must have been something important considering I informed everyone Eleanor and I would be unavailable all day today..even possibly tomorrow..and from how incredible things are going..definitely tomorrow as well.

‘King Damion..I’m sorry to bother you.’

Lucas started, making my body tense as my wolf’s instincts went on high alert..in the past whenever Lucas started a conversation with that phrase, it did not go well.

Eleanor looked over at me, confusion filling her face as she started plating our breakfast.

‘Just tell me Lucas.’ I snapped, wishing he were more direct sometimes like my Gamma.

“What is it? Is everything okay?” Eleanor asked quietly, turning around in my arms as she hugged my waist.

“Just Lucas.” I informed her quickly, hoping this was just something about the Elders canceling their upcoming trip or something…one can only hope.

‘It’s the Elders, your Highness..they will be here in an hour. We were just informed.’ He spoke firmly, knowing exactly how much this information would piss me the hell off..and boy did it..it was the exact opposite of what I wished..f**k!

‘In an hour?! We decided on the end of the week!’ I couldn’t help the rage that started to build up inside of me.

My uncle has been pushing this nonstop and I finally agreed..doing it on my terms and my way. Of course, he would decide to change it last minute and take charge. I gritted my teeth, my hands clenching into fists as that anger began to boil. Titus’s rage started to rise by the second and then suddenly…it was gone.

I blinked my eyes rapidly, looking down in confusion as I saw my mate’s hand right above my heart. Her touch alone settling my anger and calming me like I never have before in my life. How the hell did she do that?

She looked up at me with those big turquoise eyes, blinking slowly as worry filled her. I bent my head down, placing a k**s on her full pink lips as she whispered against me.

“Whatever it is, we can get through it together.” She assured me gently, showing me that she was here..that I truly didn’t have to go through these things alone anymore. This is the first time in my life that I have someone going through life with me, an actual partner..a mate.

‘Lucas, prepare their rooms and schedule everything ahead of time. I will be down when they arrive. Also..Lucas, do not let my Uncle go and see Richard alone. I have a feeling that is why they are here early.’

I linked, knowing that was exactly why he pushed this forward. He wanted to be the one to determine what happened to the former Alpha. I refuse to back down from this, there was no way I would let that former Alpha leave this castle alive.

‘Yes, Your Highness…and also..congratulations.’

Lucas linked quickly, a smile clear in his voice and I couldn’t help but feel that happiness once again.

I placed my hands on Eleanor’s shoulders and pushed her back a little, our gaze locking as I brushed a loose strand of hair out of her eyes.

“The Elders are coming sooner than expected. I’m sorry Darling, I will have to go down to greet them.” I felt guilty..having to leave her so soon and start this s**t with the Elders.

Suddenly she pulled away from me and turned around, grabbing the two plates of breakfast and bringing them over to the kitchen nook.

“Sit, let’s eat while we talk about it.” She instructed while walking over and taking my hand, pulling me to the table.

I sat down and watched as she turned to walk away, my hands reached out instinctively, pulling her into my lap as she flashed me a surprised look.

“Please, I want to be as close to you as possible.” I mummbled, leaning into her and inhaling her floral scent.

“How can I say no to that.” She grinned, placing a k**s on my cheek.

I let out a low rumbling growl in response, my mate making me horny with just one peck on the cheek..how pathetic.

“But Damion..I guess I will just come out and say it.” She quickly blurted, making me look down at her with confusion.

“I want to be there to greet the Elders.” Her words made my eyes widen with shock..no way in hell would I let her do that!! I am not letting my mate anywhere near my uncle…but from the look on her face, I have a feeling she won’t take no for an answer. s**t, this might be bad..
