The Luna’s Pure Heart – Chapter 67

(Damion pov)

I woke up with the sweet smell of lilies and rain enveloping me. My arms naturally squeezed tighter as I pulled my Bunny’s warm naked body to me as close as possible. Some days it doesn’t feel like it’s enough, this is one of those days.

It has already been two days since we made up and everything is even better than before, if you could believe it.

I had let Eleanor skip training the past two mornings because I have been giving her more than enough exercise. We had a lot of missed time to make up for. Plus my gesture of love went even better than I thought. Not only did she love the cake but just the fact that I remembered her offering to bake for me before touched her really deeply.

I looked down at my beautiful mate sleeping peacefully and knew that won’t be the case much longer when she realizes what I’m waking her up for.

We had to resume training, all of the warriors have been asking about her and not to mention Lucas. He has been griping about her keeping her side of the bargain. I didn’t tell her this because I know she had a rough first day at training..but when you make a wager, you have to keep it. It’s just part of the warrior’s code, and I’m not letting Eleanor back out of it.

Even though I might have given Lucas the idea..I wasn’t sure how long it would be until we made up and it was a sure way to see my Bunny. Plus it is good for her to learn this stuff..especially since my warriors have found a few rogues trying to break through our borders lately. There’s only one person that could be responsible for that, but the thing we don’t know is if he has been in contact with them somehow or if they are on their own suicide missions. We still have the other elders in custody but will be transferring them after we get back from River Rock. We leave in two days and plan to stay there for a few nights. I also wanted to stop by B***d Moon on the way home to check out the progress. I want Eleanor to be there because the pack members know her and will hopefully trust her and be honest about what is happening.

So a lot is happening in the next couple of days and then the moon ball will be in a few weeks where we do the pack joining and Queen ceremony for Eleanor. That alone will be stressful to plan out, this will be Eleanor’s first big event to plan as my mate and Queen. I hope it doesn’t stress her out too much..I will offer her all the help she will need though.

“Darling, it’s time to wake up.” I whispered gently, rubbing the palms of my hands up and down the curves of her back.

“Mmm didn’t you just wake me up an hour ago?” She mumbled, looking up at me with the cutest lopsided grin.

“I believe that was you who woke me up..” I lifted my eyebrow, remembering it much differently than what she said.

“Well, I didn’t ask for you to return the favor.” She quickly turned her head, snuggling back into me..she knew exactly why I was waking her up.

“Oh really now?” I couldn’t help but laugh..why was she so feisty in the mornings?

“Mhmm, and maybe I won’t wake you up next time either if this is the thanks I get.” She said in a sassy tone and I couldn’t help but spank that firm a*s of hers.

“Ow!” She yelped, laughing as she nuzzled into the crook of my neck.

“I think training will do you some good. You seem to have a lot of energy this morning.” I muttered, rubbing her butt where I had just spanked it.

“I thought you might have forgotten about it..that’s why I woke you up earlier so you would sleep in.” She admitted, that little vixen!!

“Who knew my Queen could be so calculating.” I tisked, shaking my head as she sat up and crossed her arms in front of her bare chest.

“You weren’t saying that this morning..it was more like..oh yes..right there bunny..uhh you are amazing.” She said over dramatically, making me burst out laughing as I rolled her off of me and pinned her to the bed.

“Should I remind you of the things you were screaming?” I c*cked my eyebrow, making her cheeks redden as she shook her head vehemently.

“No sir.” She quipped and then quickly slammed her mouth shut.

“Oh, now it’s sir, but just this morning it was Daddy Da..” before I could finish my sentence her hand shot up, slapping over my mouth as her eyes widened.

How could one girl be so feisty one minute and this pure and innocent the next?

“Fine, you win.” She conceded, moving her hand from my mouth and revealing my wide grin.

“Good girl.” I bent down, kissing her softly as my fingers weaved into her hair.

“This is the last time I ever jeopardize my sleep like that again. Lucas tricked me..I hope today is a punching exercise and he just has to stand there.” Eleanor grumbled as I pulled her up with me.

“Come on, it’s not that bad. Plus now I can get involved and give you some pointers.” I growled into her neck as I carried her to our closest.

“What kind of pointers?” She gasped, her hands gripping my shoulders as I nipped at her sensitive flesh.

“Like body stance and techniques..you know, things that are very up close and personal.” My lips mumbled against her as she nodded her head.

“Well now I’m listening..you should have started with that.” Her interest level peaking by the second.

“But people won’t be mad because you are showing me extra attention right? I don’t want to upset anyone..” and there she was, my kindhearted girl who is always thinking of others before herself.

“Bunny, you are my mate..people were surprised I even let you train with Lucas for your first time..they thought I would be all over you..which don’t get me wrong..I would have been if we weren’t spending a little time apart at the time.” The mere mention of it making me hug her tighter as I hated every second of not being close with her.

“Well, I’m interested to see what you have in store for us today Alpha.” She smiled brightly as my heart raced from her calling me Alpha..oh goddess this woman will be the death of me.

“Then we better get going so we aren’t late.” I spanked her but softly and set her down on the floor, my eyes unable to stop drifting to her as she quickly got dressed and pulled her hair up in a ponytail.

Today she wore dark blue workout pants with a matching sports bra and a white loose-fitted tank top over it. How can a woman make the simplest things look so f*****g sexy? I pulled up my black joggers and slipped on my sneakers. I also made sure to tie my hair up and soon realized I wasn’t the only one staring.

“Ready?” I asked, extending my hand out to her as she nodded her head excitedly.

She began to walk towards the door and I quickly pulled her into my arms, needing one last k**s before we go.

“I thought we were going to be late.” She teased and I couldn’t help but smile as I lowered my head down to hers.

“Just one k**s won’t hurt.” I whispered, pressing my mouth to hers as I kissed her deeply. Her arms slipped around my waist as she m****d softly against my lips. I guess we better stop before I really do make us late.

I pulled away reluctantly, letting out a frustrated sigh as I took her hand once more and began to walk with her out the door. I noticed she was very quiet after that k**s and barely even greeted Pierce like she always does.

‘Are you okay Darling?’

I linked gently, seeing her staring off into space as she quickly looked at me and nodded her head.

‘Just trying to come down from that k**s.’

She admitted sheepishly and I couldn’t help but beam..the fact that one of my k****s can still affect her this way is so gratifying. I can say I honestly feel the same way though. She can look at me a hundred times every day and every time still leaves me with butterflies in my stomach.

We got off of the elevator and made our way toward the gym where Lance, Lucas, and Jake were waiting outside with a few other warriors.

Eleanor waved at them happily as they all watched us walking over.

“Well your in a better mood than I thought you would be Angel, I thought the Alpha would come out missing a finger or something from trying to wake you up so early.” Lance teased, making Eleanor glare at him.

“Yeah, maybe you can wake me up again next time Lance, your giving me some good ideas.” She retorted, earning a few laughs from the surrounding warriors.

“Okay, that’s enough you two, save it for the ring today.” I said firmly, making Eleanor lean into my side as people started to gather.

“Go get in your spot Bunny, make sure it’s where I can see you though.” I kissed the top of her head and she nodded.

She quickly jogged over beside Lucas as Lance sidled up next to them with Jake. He was going to be on my f*****g nerves all day, I just know it.

Lance said something I didn’t quite catch because another warrior was talking to me and Eleanor laughed at whatever the hell he said.

I don’t know what it is..I’m usually not this jealous, especially with the Beta’s..but something is bugging me today.

I know it’s stupid and unreasonable but hearing Eleanor laughing with another man literally made my f*****g eye twitch.

‘Titus, please just keep it calm today..’

I knew the culprit and he responded with a low growl but eventually sulked back into my mind.

“Okay, let’s get to it with the warm-up!” I shouted, cutting through the chatter as everyone instantly gave me their attention.

“Yes, Alpha!” They all responded, but the only voice I heard was my Bunny’s and damn was that sexy.

Everyone took off running and I quickly joined the sea of people and sidled right up to my girl. She looked over at me and smiled brightly, obviously in a much better mood now.

“Ten like last time?” She wondered and I shook my head no.

“We only did ten because it was your first time, usually we do twenty.” I informed her and I swear she would have almost tripped and fallen flat on her face if I didn’t reach out and grip her arm.

“Careful Bunny, don’t want you to get hurt.” I said protectively, keeping a steady pace next to her as she swallowed hard and nodded her head.

We made our way around the building as I ran by her side the entire time

She had actually improved exponentially since the first practice, which seemed odd since she had only done it once. But her determination and resilience was unlike anything I had seen from her before. I wonder if doing this together was helping in some way. I could tell the warriors were all impressed though, considering no one had to do any extra laps today.

After our warm-up I made everyone find their partners so we can do hand-on-hand sparring. This one was about trying to knock the other opponent to the floor. We do a few different drill techniques like this a couple of times a month that way the movements are still fresh in our minds.

I demonstrated a few techniques, glancing toward Eleanor as she ate up every word. She watched me intently as she nodded along and seemed to understand it a lot easier than I expected.

“Okay, let’s get to it!” I shouted, hearing the bell ring as I walked around watching the warriors but really was just trying to make my way to Elanor and Lucas.

I didn’t want to seem like a d**k to my guys, but I didn’t give a s**t if they were doing it right..I just wanted to see Eleanor do it..

I slowly circled around and found my Bunny, trying not to seem too eager as I made my way over.

I watched intently as she gripped Lucas’s arm and suddenly swiped her leg out faster than I had ever seen her move. Lucas hit the mat with a thud that echoed through the gym and Eleanor climbed on top of him. That’s when the low growl escaped..

I began stomping over there, Lucas’s wide eyes meeting mine as he quickly scrambled from beneath Eleanor, making her look around in confusion. Then she locked her gaze on me.

“Did I do it wrong?” She asked, frowning.

“No..no you did it perfect..Titus just didn’t like how perfect..” I admitted as a look of understanding crossed her face.

“Then you should be my partner.” She smiled and relief rushed through me..why was I so protective and possessive today?

I went to look for Lucas and he had already found a new partner and was sparring..what a smart man.

‘Sorry, I don’t know what’s wrong with me today.’

I admitted to her in our link, feeling embarrassed by my behavior as she smiled softly.

‘Well, there’s something wrong with me too..because I liked it. Seeing you all shirtless and coming to claim me.’

She teased, then suddenly reached out, gripping my wrist while I was distracted, and quickly kicked my feet out from under me. Making me land on my back as she scrambled onto my waist, pinning me down.

That’s when the air changed, that electricity began to surge between us and I knew I was screwed. There was no way everyone else wasn’t feeling our tension. By the way the group seemed to slowly move away from us, I could tell they definitely noticed.

“Maybe we should call it a day.” I whispered, my h**s rising naturally as I lifted her up into the air.

“Why? I was just starting to have fun.” She smirked, looking down at me as she licked her lips seductively.

‘Eleanor, we need to go now before I shred these clothes to pieces in front of all of my warriors and we have an audience to me f*****g you uncontrollably.’

This was serious, these urges and this feeling, s**t, it was consuming..like I was losing control once again but not through anger..this time with the need for pleasure.

You would think I would have had enough after last night and early this morning but it’s like my craving for her is even deeper than before.

Maybe it has to do with being the Alpha King and our urges or maybe it’s just Eleanor in general.

“Maybe we should let our wolves out.” She breathed, her eyes flashing silver and surprising me. Was she struggling with Kari too right now?

‘Yes, let us out..’

Titus howled, this had to be it..they didn’t get the chance to make up yet. After all, Kari and Titus were hurt too.

“Let’s go.” I nodded, lifting her off of me and placing her on her feet as I took her hand and we quickly walked out of the training gym and straight for the forest.

I swear, we didn’t even get time to take our clothes off before our wolves were shoving us aside and taking over. I quickly shifted to Titus at the same time as Kari appeared right before us. Our wolves ran to each other, licking and nudging one another as they had their time together.

‘I guess we have been neglecting them a little.’

Eleanor linked softly, her voice full of guilt.

‘You almost forget they are their own entities sometimes.’

She added, and I honestly had never forgotten that..with me and Titus it always felt separate from the start. He was so much stronger than me and I was just a small kid when I first got my wolf. He felt like an overpowering presence that was constantly trying to gain control. I know his intentions weren’t bad..he just had a bad temper and could never control himself in situations. That’s why people started calling me a monster because a young boy had the most fearsome wolf to ever live and couldn’t even control him.

Over the years I started learning ways to contain him a little better but maybe that was the wrong approach..because seeing Titus now and how quickly his frustration disappeared by actually giving in and putting him first was something I never thought of sadly..I feel horrible for admitting that but it’s hard when you feel overshadowed by something that is supposed to be a part of you. Something that was supposed to be my greatest strength..but instead I was raised to think of it as a weakness..that I was weak for letting Titus take control when in reality I never even gave him a choice.

I guess it’s never too late to learn from your mistakes..I hope this really is the turning point for Titus and me because I realize now..I am damn lucky to have a wolf like him..one that can protect our mate and watch over her with ease. Now that we have her in our life, I need Titus there to help me protect the most important thing in this world, together.

Sitting here and seeing how gentle he is with Kari and how much he cares about our mate..I see a side of him I wish I knew. Maybe one day we will get to that point where we can talk openly and actually be friends..all I know is that if it wasn’t for this woman..I would still be fighting him and that isn’t a way I ever want to live again.
