The Lycan King’s Long Lost Princess Chapter 15
Genevieve’s POV:
He closes the door and I walk towards the sink, turning on the water. I wet my toothbrush and put some toothpaste on it, then wet it again. I don’t know why I do it like this, but it just feels like that’s how you’re supposed to do it.
I finish brushing, and I realize I left my little pack of floss in the bag. I open the door to ask him to get it for me when Serene yells at me and slaps me. She’s staring at me, tears overflowing her swollen eyes and her nose bright red.
“You killed him. You killed my mate. I should kill you.” She screams.
“Who does this wh*re think she is?!”
“I don’t know Ophelia, but I’ve about had it.
“No, your mate did that himself. He was assaulting your queen. Need I remind you, I told you never to touch her again.” Hunter growled. His beta is standing there looking at Serene with a scowl on his face. Hunter walks up to her, towering over her like he’s about to crash down on her any second.
“He was not. He wouldn’t. She came on to him. I just know it. She’s always been a little sl*t.” She said pointing her long skinny finger at me. I back away a little into the bathroom. I just want to crawl into a hole and die.
“He was and he would. I saw it myself. And I ripped his heart out. It should’ve been done a long time ago. He got what he deserved.” Hunter said, glaring at her.
“Ugh. You’ll get what YOU deserve you little sl*t.” She looked at me like she wanted to rip me apart.
“Did you just threaten your queen?” Growled Mark. She turned on her heel ignoring them and disappeared up the stairs.
Hunter looks at me.
“I’m so sorry. Are you okay? I was just around the corner. I didn’t leave.” His eyes pleading for forgiveness. He grazed my red cheek with his fingers.
“I know. I could smell you. I could hear your heartbeat. I know you didn’t leave.” I said. He pulled me into a hug.
“He’s so sexy. Mate him!”
“No Ophelia. Not after yesterday. Not yet. Plus since when are you back?”
“I know. And right before you brushed your teeth. It was wolfsbane.”
I push Ophelia to the back of my mind to finish our conversation.
“I’ll leave you guys. I’m heading to go get some food. I’m starving.” Mark said. My stomach growled again and Hunter and Mark both looked at me, then busted out laughing.
“We’re all hungry I see. Let’s go together.” Mark said.
We walked to the kitchen, catching glances from everyone. Gamma William comes into the kitchen as well and shoots me a big smile.
I run up to him and give him a big hug.
“I heard you’re coming with us?” I asked
“I am. I’m not sure where my place will be, but as long as I’m with you, I’m fine anywhere.” He said looking at Hunter.
“Can you fight?” Hunter asked.
“Yes, I can. I train the warriors here. And I’ve won 1st place in a fighting competition with other betas and gammas for five consecutive years, the last being two months ago.”
“That’s great. I’d like to test that out when we get back to my castle. And if you’re up for it, I’m sure Jess here would love you as a personal guard.” Hunter said.
Gamma William’s face lights up and I shoot him a huge smile.
“That would be an honor, my king.” He bowed to Hunter. Then he turned to me.
“I guess that would also make you future queen.” He smiles and then bows to me. I slap his shoulder.
“None of that bowing stuff please.” I laugh.
“Yes ma’am.” He said. I look at Hunter who has a huge smile on his face. He’s the most handsome man ever. I’m so glad he came into my life.
The servants shoo us out, telling us breakfast will be ready in a few minutes. I see Mark drooling over one of their shoulders as they cook the bacon. She shoos him away and we all head out to the patio.
A few minutes later they come out with plates and drinks. The moment it was in front of me I went to town on it.
“Hey, William. Will you go to the stables and find that boy that you mentioned was from the m******e? Does he have anyone here that cares for him?”
“No my king. He stays at the orphanage. Just like the others, no one has taken him in.” William replied.
“See if he’d like to come with us. And also, the male servant, and the girl that cooks?”
“Yes, my king. I’ll ask.” William said standing up.
“Not yet, you can finish your food. But afterward, if you wouldn’t mind.”
“Of course.” He said as he sat back down.
We all finished our food and the servants took our plates. I was completely stuffed. I don’t usually eat this much, so I was really full about halfway.. but my mouth just wouldn’t stop.
Gamma William came back with the boy from the stables, who was so excited to be joining us. The male servant was a bit nervous about it until he realized he wasn’t the only one coming along. Sarah the servant was more than happy to be leaving. Just like me, she had been victim to the alpha and betas touch. We weren’t really friends, but we had spent some time doing chores and cooking together, so it’s at least nice to have some familiarity.
“We will all be fine Gen. Mate wouldn’t hurt us ever.”
“I hope you’re right.”
Hunter and I were heading back up to his room when I got a quick scent of the alpha. I turned around to find him walking the hall to his office. He glared at me a gave me a devilish smirk. Seeing that, I quickly grabbed Hunter’s hand without realizing it. Alpha growled when he realized. Hunter looked at him and then down at me staring at the alpha, and pulled me closer.
We continued going up the stairs and into his room.
“When we get there and you meet a few people and become a little more comfortable, I’ll let my sister take you shopping. You need some new things.” He said as he started putting clothes into his suitcase.
“Okay. What’s your sister’s name?” I asked, sitting on the bed.
“Dakota. When I told her about you she was screaming with excitement. She can’t wait to meet you. Now, she can be a bit overwhelming, but I’m sure you two will be great friends.” He said smiling.
“Okay, that’s fine. I can’t wait to meet her either.” I replied.
