THE NIGHT BEFORE.

KYLE'S POV.

"Why are you taking me away from him?" Alina screams at me the moment I get into the car.

"Strap on your seatbelt and be quiet." I tell her in a tired voice as I strap on my own seat belt. I don't know how but one way or another, I get tangled up in her mess. It's either she comes to my house and I have to deal with her or I'm called over.

This afternoon, when she came to my house and told me she was pregnant, I nearly fainted. Not because it was unexpected, I mean she's a big girl and she has been very sexually active. It could never shock me to hear that she's pregnant. What stunned me was the fact that she chose to tell me first.

Why?

Why would my sister, whom I do not have a close relationship with, choose me to be the first person to know about her pregnancy?

That's a question I've been asking myself for a while now, but I've not gotten an answer to it.

"This is the moment you defend me by asking Alpha Reagan to take me to his house because that's where I belong right now. I'm carrying his baby!" She's still screaming and I wonder how she's so energetic despite the fact that she's pregnant.

"Alina." I call, igniting the car engine. "I don't know if it's this pregnancy messing with your brain, but you're delusional."

"Delusional?" She sounds greatly offended. "Did you just call me delusional?"

"Yep. I just did." I pull out of the driveway and hit the road. "Getting pregnant for Alpha Reagan doesn't mean you have the right to move in with him."

"Why doesn't it? He slept with me. He got me pregnant. He has to take responsibility for it."

"And that's exactly what he has said he's going to do."

"He has to start by arranging a place for me to stay."

"If that's what you want you'll get it within the blink of an eye. Just don't expect him to ask you to move in with him."

"Why? Because of that lowlife werewolf called Ashanti? Is she the reason why he won't let me move in with him?"

I don't say anything because if I do, it's only going to upset her the more. I keep my eyes on the road and continue driving in silence.

"Why aren't you saying anything?"

"Because I'm too tired to argue with you right now. By the way, are you sure this child you're carrying is truly Alpha Reagan's? Because you'll be in serious trouble if it's later on discovered that you lied about the paternity of this child!" I shoot her a brief glance before focusing my gaze on the road once more.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Her voice is calm and deadly. "Are you saying I'm trying to pin another man's pregnancy on Alpha Reagan?" And she's back to shouting.

"Why are you getting upset? It was just a question. Besides, it's not totally impossible for you to do that. I know the lengths you're willing to go to have that man in your grasp."

She bursts into tears. She starts crying out loud and I shoot her a confused look.

"What now?" I am frustrated by her nagging. I can't wait to get to our parents house and dump her there. This is why I don't like being in her presence. It's either she's a menace or a nagging witch.

"I can't believe you still can't take my side even though I'm pregnant. I'm carrying your niece or nephew for goodness sake!”

"And I already love him or her right now with all of my heart. I have nothing against you getting pregnant. It's your intentions I don't trust. They aren't pure and with the way you're acting, you're giving serious homewrecker vibes right now." She cries even harder, but I don't care.
