POV

It was on Friday morning when we decided to go away to the Chasia cabin that is by the lake.

Edward and I took the master's bedroom and Love got the one next to us. The cabin house was really beautiful and serene, we were miles from town and we were surrounded by water. I quickly washed my face after I settled in and joined them downstairs to the salon, the men were drinking as usual except Jamal who seemed to be in deep thought, he was probably missing Ansley now since she was gone. "You didn't pack two of my dolls," Love said as soon as she saw me.

"I told you to be there when I packed instead you decided to go get ice cream with Marcos," I murmured, she frowned at me.

"But I reminded you several times,"

"And you could have just done it yourself then, so easy," I smiled tightly at her.

"It's not fair," She pouted.

"Life is unfair, Love, I always tell you to do some things yourself, especially things that involve your dolls,"

"I'm a kid," She raised her tiny arms in the air.

Love and I played a game of chess and I beat her as usual, she went to complain to her daddy and he took over, we played and Edward was good at it, "Check mate," He grinned at me, I groaned, after losing again.

"No one can beat daddy in a game of chess," Love beamed. Marcus and Garret started getting everything ready for a barbecue near the lake, the view was amazing. I went to the kitchen and marinated the meats, sausage, and chicken with the help of my little princess.

"Let's pack them in bowls," We did just that and Edward joined us, he kissed my lips ever gently, Love clapped while I stared at him, a bit shy. He has been slowly expressing his feelings towards me and sometimes, I forgot that we've developed as a couple and we are at this stage.

'It's normal for mates to do that, get used to it, Liana barked, the corner of my lips curled into a small smile as I gave him a bowl.

"Here, take it to Jamal, he's in charge of this," He carried it outside while we got the rest. I went back inside to prepare the salad. "Something you know all too well," Edward commented.

"Yep," I said, feeding him a forkful of my delicious greek salad. He chewed and swallowed before giving me feedback

"Delectable indeed," I smiled when he said that.

We were standing close to each other, his lips close to my neck, and slowly he started to nibble it. My hands flew to his sides and caressed there. He lifted me and put me on the island.

His kissing was passionate and hot," I want to mark," He whispered. My fingers were playing in his hair now.

"Yes," I moaned, just as the door opened. I pulled him away and jumped off the counter, facing Love. The little girl's eyes were wide as saucers and Marcus covered them with his hand but the damage was already done. "Eew you two. We make food there,"

"Sorry," I said, embarrassed. We should be more careful with Love around, I don't want to scar the girl for life.

"Baby, I'm sorry," I said to Love,

"It's okay," She said.

I jabbed Edward with my elbow, the man didn't look ashamed even a bit.

"I'm not sorry," He grumbled, calling Love to his side. The girl runs to him and kisses his cheek.

The rest of the day was beautiful, I marveled at being with my family, we made a fireplace and played games. I stood up to take Love to bed. I was reading a bedtime story to Love when she asked, "How are babies made?"

Her question took me back. I bite my lower lips, not knowing what to say.

"Well, a mommy and daddy do that,"

Love giggled, "I know, but how?"

"Well, they go to the doctor and they get mommy's egg and mixes with other medical things, and boom, a baby appears in mommy's tummy," I lied, she peered at me for a long time, deciding whether I was being truthful or not. "Well, that's not what my friends say but okay," She shrugged. "Cali, how does it leave the stomach?"

"It's really a short process, again, the doctor helps with that,"

"Do they cut open the tummy?"

"Not really, some do," I said

"I don't want to be cut! Then I'm not going to have a baby," She declared solemnly. She was about to ask more questions when I cut her off.

"It's way past your bedtime, sleep now baby,"

"Okay, I heart you, Cali," Love and I use heart as her name is Love and it feels weird to her, so she uses that word.

"As do I," I turned off the light and sent a flying kiss her way but before I left, she spoke again.

"Are you my mommy, Cali?"

I smiled and went back to sit at the edge of her bed." No, you know that but you and I are bonded by our hearts and I'll do for you all the things your mommy would if she was here," I assured her.

"So I can call you mommy if I want?" She asked and I kissed her forehead.

"I'd like that so much," She smiled and yawned. I met Edward next to the door, he was listening to us.

"Do you want to go in?" I asked and he shook his head negatively.

"Want to go for a run with me?"

I nodded and he took my hand in his as we went outside into the woods. It was a beautiful night and the moon was full, shining down at us. We took off our clothes and shifted into our form, Edward's Lycan, Ward was huge, and towering over me. He came close to Liana and sniffed her neck before licking her face.

'Hey,' Liana grunted before she took off running deeper into the forest. Running through the woods with my other part felt right and perfect, I watched at the back of my mind as the wolves chased each other and playfully bit down on each other until they mated. It was getting late and our halves didn't want to shift back but we did, we were by the lake. Edward was standing in front of me, his naked body made me blush, but my eyes were stuck on him. His eyes shone under the moonlight and he smiled, I was in love. He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him, his lips pressed against me and we kissed, it was long and deep, satisfying.
