Sensing that the discomfort in her body had completely diminished, Quinn stared at Charlie in utter disbelief and asked, "In traditional Chinese medicine, reading the pulse is just a diagnosis, not a treatment. Yet, how come I feel like I've recovered when all you've done is read my pulse?"

Charlie said flatly, "There is an acupressure point on a person's wrist that is dedicated to treating the stomach discomfort. You thought I was reading your pulse, but I was actually giving your acupressure point a massage." 9

Quinn gaped in astonishment, "Seriously? Can it truly work wonders?"

Charlie nodded and said, "It's the same theory as to why you rub your temples when you have a headache. It's just that my technique is more uncanny so much so that it can deliver a much better and faster result."

Quinn couldn't help exclaiming, "Charlie, you are truly amazing! I've seen so many doctors and taken so many kinds of medicine, however, I couldn't cure it for more than a month. Despite that, a simple wrist massage from you and I'm all good!" 8

Charlie said with an embarrassed expression, "You called me a playboy just now, and now you're calling me by my name so nicely. You're so fickle."

Quinn snorted coquettishly as her face blushed red, and she said, "If you hadn't gotten married, I would have called your name over and over again... I wouldn't have scolded you!" 7 Charlie nodded. "I know, I know, it's all my fault." 4

"D*mn right you should know." Quinn pouted and continued, "My dad just sent me a video message asking how my work is going over here. I was going to tell him about meeting you, but on second thought, I decided to give him a surprise. You're not bluffing when you say you're going to Eastcliff next week, right?"

Charlie said earnestly, "I've already told my wife about this when we finished dinner. How could that be a bluff? You go home first when you're done with the filming here. I'll go after I settle the matter at hand." Quinn asked again, full of expectation, "Charlie, can you honestly cure my dad's illness?"

Charlie nodded. "I'm very confident." 6

Quinn couldn't hide her excitement and said, "In that case, I'll be waiting for you in Eastcliff! Please, you must heal my dad!"

Charlie smiled slightly and spoke, word for word, "Don't worry, I'll do my best." 4

Seeing that it was getting late, Charlie stood up and said, "It's late, if there's nothing else I can do here, I'll see myself out."

Quinn quickly asked, "Charlie, why don't you stay for a while longer?" 6 "Thanks but no thanks. It's getting late, you should rest early."

Quinn opened her mouth to try to say something, but she deliberated her words and swallowed them back.

A moment later, she asked with a longing look on her face, "Charlie, will you visit me in the next two days, then?" 1

Charlie replied, "I might not be available these two days as I have a few things to deal with, but don't worry, I'll definitely go to Eastcliff next week to pay a visit."

Quinn nodded reluctantly and said, "Over the next two days, I'll be shooting the advertisement for your Apothecary Stomach Pill in Aurous Hill. If you have time, come over and visit me." "Okay, I will." 7

After bidding farewell to Quinn, Charlie left Shangri-La and drove back to Thompson First.
