Charlie gladly agreed. Soon, the salesperson called another girl over. "Sayu, this VIP wants to see the bracelet. Please recommend something to him." 2 When the girl named Sayu learned that Charlie was a generous tycoon, she donned a broad smile and cheerily exclaimed, "Sir, please follow me."

Nanako hurriedly asked, "Charlie-kun, do you need me to try on the bracelet for you?"

Only when Charlie went to the bracelet section did Nanako whisper to the salesperson responsible of the rings section, "Excuse me, the ring I tried on just now, is it still in stock?" 2

The salesperson nodded gently and said, "Yes. We have three of these rings. Two were sold, and there is only one left now. Do you want it now?"

Overjoyed, Nanako whispered, "I can't pay now. Can

you please keep it for me first? I'll have someone pay for it later. Oh, please adjust the ring to the same size a s before, okay?"

The store had all sorts of selections, and most of them were understated and minimalist, but there was a rose gold diamond bracelet that stood out among the others, one that gave off an elegant and classy vibe. 2

Charlie knew Elaine very well. He knew she loved objects that looked extravagant and lavish. This shiny golden bracelet with diamonds would really suit her taste very much. Although it was fully studded, it was rather inexpensive because the diamonds were relatively small.

The bracelet Charlie chose for Elaine was actually about two hundred and fifty thousand dollars, not excatly cheap by any means, but it was a whiff of smoke for Charlie. 6 After he had made his selection, he asked the salesperson to pack the bracelet together with the ring and paid for them.

Nanako had also wrapped up her conversation with the previous salesperson about the ring and then sent a message to one of her assistants to come over to pay it. After everything was settled, she trotted over to Charlie's side, satisfied, and asked him with a huge smile, "Charlie-kun, have you picked the bracelet?"

Charlie nodded. "Yes, I even paid for them. By the way, Nanako, why are you so happy?"

He noticed that Nanako seemed to be extra chirpy than before and looked as if she was on cloud nine. 4

Nanako stuck out her tongue cheekily and replied with a wink, "It's a secret. I can't tell you, or you'll definitely laugh at me." 3

Charlie smiled faintly, "I won't do that!"

Nanako shook her head shyly. "Anyway, I can't tell you. It's too embarrassing."

Charlie shrugged helplessly. "Well, then. If you don't tell, I won't ask then..."
