As the family patriarch's sole daughter, Nanako's acceptance for a ring from such a common brand was beyond what Kurenai could percieve. 5 Holding the ring dearly, Nanako shyly said, "Kawana, some things cannot be measured by value. With that, she hastily put the ring on her ring finger and looked at it, grinning from ear to ear. 5

Kurenai exclaimed, "Miss, the ring finger is especially for a wedding ring. You can't wear a ring on that finger. Otherwise, people might think you are married when they see you wearing that!" 6

When Nanako heard it, she suddenly realized that it was inappropriate for her to wear a ring on her ring finger as a single woman as it would trigger misunderstandings. But it didn't rescind her adoration for the ring. She quickly took the ring off, carefully put it back into the box, and stuck out her tongue at Kurenai cheekily. "It's okay. I'm just trying it out. I won't wear it when I'm out."

Kurenai nodded and asked, "Miss, where are we going now?"

Nanako replied, "To the hospital. I want to keep my father company." 3

"Okay!"

At the same time, Charlie had successfully passed through the security checkpoint. He walked into the VIP lounge with his passport and boarding pass in hand.

An hour was left before the plane took off and half an hour before boarding. 1

The VIP lounge was sparsely inhabited, so Charlie leisurely found a seat and sat down.

As soon as he sat down, a beautiful waitress came forward and asked, "Good day, sir, would you like something to drink, please?" 4
