The Spring Festival Gala was broadcasted live to 1.4 billion viewers nationwide, so when Charlie finished watching her solo performance in front of the TV, Quinn had just finished her performance and came backstage.

The first thing she did was to send Charlie a message before she got changed. She was most concerned about Charlie's opinion of her performance. 2

The reason why Quinn chose to sing the song called ' First Love' was that she wanted Charlie to listen to it.

There was a line of lyrics in the song which she wrote specifically for Charlie which went, "From the first time I saw you, your face is branded in my heart. I crossed thousands of miles and found you, and I only want to tell you, I'll ever leave you again for the rest of my life." 2

Of course, Charlie could feel the sentiment in Quinn's song, but he pretended not to know and replied, "Yes, I saw your performance. It was wonderful!" 2 Overjoyed, Quinn replied, "Charlie, I... I wrote the song for you..." 1

Charlie asked in surprise, "You wrote the song yourself?" 1

"Yes," Quinn said. "I composed the whole song myself. Not bad, right?"

Charlie sent her a thumbs-up emoji and exclaimed, "I didn't expect that you not only sing well but also compose your own songs. That's amazing!" 1

Quinn sent a tongue-sticking-out emoji and said, "I learned piano from my mom since I was young, and sometimes I would hum while playing the piano, then I tried to compose a few songs and released them. After receiving quite a good response, I continue to compose a few more." 1

Charlie praised genuinely, "That's incredible! You're very awesome!"

Quinn smiled contentedly and said, "Charlie, I composed this song specifically for you a few years ago before I found you, so there's another version of the lyrics. After I found you, I made some amendments to the lyrics, hence the current version." 2

Moved, Charlie replied, "Thank you, Nana. Thank you for always remembering me, and thank you for doing so much for me all these years." 1

Quinn sent a shy emoji and said, "The pleasure is mine. I'm your child bride, after all..." 5

Charlie was speechless, although it was not an exaggeration to call herself a child bride since they had the marriage arrangement when they were young. 2

At this moment, Quinn sent another message, "Charlie, I have to go now. My parents are waiting for me for New Year's Eve dinner, then we'll be staying up for the countdown. See you." 2

Charlie knew that it was not easy for every celebrity participating in the Spring Festival Gala. They were all performing on New Year's Eve. If they were living in Eastcliff, they could rush home to spend the holidays with their families right after their performance.
