The Palace Beast -
Chapter 83 - Get Vamped
Enraged with what has happened she rushed outside with the speed of traveling lighting, she grabbed the hooded man that has fired the arrow. Without waiting for any second, she sank her fangs into his chest, aiming for the aorta, which carries blood out of the heart and is the largest blood vessel of all, up to 1 inch in diameter.
Hearing a footstep approaching from behind with the sound of an unsheathed sword, she pushed away from her first victims and grabbed the swordsman behind her, and ripped out his heart. She then pushed the man away and took a bite of his heart.
A band of raiders was closing in on her from the trees that surround her. She wasn't sure who they were but they definitely will regret putting up a fight with her. "Walk away and we will all call it a day," she roared wiping her mouth which has been stained with the blood of her victims.
"You are outnumbered and you know better," roared a man dressed in a raven cloak. He was seated calmly on his horseback with his sword drawn out. He has scars on his forehead and from his monstrous look, he looks blood thirsty. "This is the last chance and I will not make the offer again."
"Rabi fears no vampire," roared the man dressed in a raven cloak. He was hired by Bonnie's brother, the king - to kill his sister. His mind has being poisoned by his council that he swore to kill every vampire to avenge Eva's death who was killed by a vampire.
It's been years since Bonnie turned and has not been pursued to be killed by anyone. She was unaware of whom the raiders were working for. Her countenances changed as she fangs out, "Suit yourself."
Before she could make a move to Rabi, a wooden arrow pierced through her left leg and she let out a loud cry of agony. Since she became a vampire, she has avoided wooden stakes because her kind could be killed with a wooden stake through the heart.
The wooden arrow can do great damage to a vampire if the heart is not targeted. She quickly pulled out the wooden arrow and angrily takes another step towards Rabi. Another wooden arrow was shot at her right leg making it difficult for her to make a smooth move.
She let out a loud agonizing cry and fell to her knees. Her recent events flashed back. Stakes were simply used to pin a vampire into its coffin while it slept, keeping it from waking back up and causing trouble; some old graves had several stakes in them, as wood eventually rots and has to be replaced. And this was the exact thing she did to Ambrogio at get back at him for taking her away from her family and turning her into a vampire.
She could barely make any move further to Rabi. She's surrounded by hefty men bearing swords, spears, and crossbows. They were all girth about with a wooden stake around their waist.
"I will kill you all," she groaned pulling out the second wooden arrow.
"You are welcome to try," Rabi said as he climbs down from his horse.
He was aware he's going after a vampire but not fully aware of what vampires can do and the power they possess. He lacks the knowledge that a vampire is a supernatural being that can heal from most wounds in seconds.
He didn't see that coming as Bonnie's wounds healed completely. She grabbed the nearest man beside her and sank her fangs into his neck and then uses him as a shield.
She was eager to fight back but suddenly the John she thought was dead, emerged. His entire body was covered with flashes of lightning. As he flew towards the raiders, they all threw away their weapons and fled from his sight. They thought he was one of the gods that have been in war against the warlocks.
Rabi didn't want to take his chances as he mounted back on his horse leaving his men behind, he fled.

Before one of his men could get to his horse, he was stuck to the mud as he struggles to free himself, Bonnie blocked him and knocked him down on his arse.
As John set his feet on the ground, there was a violent wind that beat against them but suddenly it came to a halt.
"How did you do that?" Bonnie asked with curiosity.
At this time, John's countenances have changed and returned to normal. He was lost as if something was in control of him during that time. He glanced at Bonnie, "I have no idea how it happened." Running towards John, she threw her arms around John and hugged him passionately. "I thought you were dead."
John felt her boobs on his chest and wished the hug would last forever but Bonnie breaks the hug and looked intently at him waiting for explanations.
John could tell she was waiting for him to explain. He didn't want her to die of curiosity. He opened his mouth to speak. "I was shot with an arrow but it had no effect on me." "That can't be possible!" Bonnie exclaimed.
"I didn't feel pain when I was shot at. And when I pulled out the arrow, there was no blood but a bright light shun out from my wound and covered it."
"Then we must figure out what Neena has put in you and how to use the powers."
"That would be cool but right now, we need to find out from that asshole who sent him to kill us," John said pointing at one of Rabi's men whom Bonnie knocked out. "I already know who sent them," she said as she lowered her head.
"Who?"
"My brother," she muttered below her breath but John heard her crystal clear.
"What type of brother sends people to kill her own blood?"
"The type that blames her blood for the death of his wife."
