I look at Ahyan flabbergasted ” what do you mean?” I ask, I don’t know how to feel about what he said. Does he know I like him so much and that I’m falling in love with him? My heart is pounding in my chest. Ahyan only shakes his head without looking at me, eyes focused on the road ” just that, don’t fall for me, I’m not a good guy,” his voice is a whisper

” Ahyan, I don’t-“

he cuts my words ” just don’t, it’s easier this way,” he says calmly and my heart dropped in my chest. A wave of sadness washed over me but I kept myself mute.

The drive to the cabin is silent. I have my hand outside the window as I take in my environment. We are driving on a straight tarmac with no cars or people.

” Deer!” I squeal, pointing at one in front of us. Ahyan smiles at me and I smile back.

The cabin is beautiful, I’m taken aback. It is surrounded by tall green trees and is just above the ground.

Ahyan gets our bags out of the car and goes to unlock it, while I’m still looking around. The only thing my ears pick up on is the chirping of birds.

” You coming?!” He calls, I nod and stride toward him. The inside is very elegant with nice furniture and a high ceiling.

I explore it. It has a big kitchen that is fully stocked with all we need and an island kitchen counter. I go to the living area, it is not large, it has two couches, a tv, and a fireplace. There are other rooms like a study and a game room that has a pin pong table, dartboard on the wall and so much.

The apartment is neat and clean. It has two bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The room I picked is nice and has large windows that enable sunlight to come through and gives me a good view of the forest.

It has a large bed, a Morris chair, and a wardrobe next to the bathroom. I hear a knock and Ahyan comes in with my bag.

” Like it?” He asks. I nod.

” Alright, freshen up, I’ll try to make us something to eat,”

” Okay,”

I unpack my bags and freshen up before going downstairs. I find Ahyan in the kitchen with a chef’s book and on the counter is all you need to make sandwiches but he seems to be in turmoil

” Have you done this before?” I ask, going over to the counter and immediately starting to make us sandwiches.

” No but I can make a mean coffee,” he boasts.

” Lulu can too, congratulations,” I roll my eyes, his face frowning at the sarcasm.

After we have lunch, Ahyan leaves to go on an errand.

Ahyan Pov.

I shift into my dragon and stretch out my wings, and fly. In less than ten minutes I reach the destination where the PI sent me. The trees in this area are dense and it’s cold because of the mountains close by.

I land, making the ground beneath me move, my dragon is big. As soon as I shift back, I sense Kaiser, my private investigator. Even in the forest, he’s wearing his suit and small sunglass. He bows.

” Good to see Prince Ahyan,” I nod. A few minutes later, Ron appears and throws me a bag, I search the bag and find pair of clothing that I wear.

As we walk up to the small clan behind the mountains, I sense them, dragons, many! I’ve visited many dragon clans, others like to be secluded and live in the forest next to rivers and mountains.

” Your girl didn’t come?” Ron asks, the beginning of a smirk forming on his lips. He does like to tease me a lot. Ronald is Cullen’s son, he’s in his mid-twenties and has lived in the castle his whole life, he goes wherever I go even though I only see his presence when I need him but I know he’s always watching me.

Every royal member has one.

He’s a skilled fighter and a Royal guard.

” Stop,” I growl as he was poking my sides. ” And she’s not my girl, she’s a friend,”

He gasps ” You don’t have female friends,”

” Well now I -” before I can finish my sentence, we are interrupted by a squeaking sound. It’s a small red dragon, growling and trying to stop us from going further. I nod while Ron raises his hand to touch it but it almost claws him.

” Aah!” He shouts ” it clawed me, little f*****g s**t!” He looks upset, approaching the dragon but I hold his arm as I calm my laughs. I look past the dragon and see a beautiful small village between the mountains, they have neatly built houses not far from each other.

I flash my eyes gold, and golden scales appear on my arm, showing it that I’m one of them and the small dragon slowly retreats into the air. We follow it down there and I notice how anyone we meet reacts to me, they are bowing low. Taking us in front of the biggest house amongst them, the dragon shifts back into his human form and smiles widely at us.

” Hi, I’m Tony! “

” Hi Tony,” we wave.

” I’m sorry about your arm but you just can’t try to pet a fierce beast like that,” He says to Ron who was sulking the whole time

” Beast? I’ve seen bigger dragons than you kid and how old are you? Twelve,” He sneers.

” Almost Thirteen and you’re lucky I didn’t burn your a*s!” Tony growls, his eyes are red. Kaiser and I watch in silence as Ron bickers with the kid, finally, he turns to me.

” I’ll tell Charlie you’re here!” I ruffle his golden locks and he runs into the house.

A tall man walks out of it, he is bulky, dark dreadlocks and red eyes.

He has dragon tattoos on his bare chest. He gasps when his eyes meet mine and bow before inviting us inside. He takes us to his office.

” The Dragon Prince,” he says once he sits behind his desk. The room is old-styled but neat with a bookshelf next to his desk and a small whiskey and wine collection. A woman comes in to ask if we need anything. Once she leaves, the clan leader, Charlie says.

” I’m sorry about what happened to your parents, they were great dragons,” I nod and we discuss their way of life here, they are fifty in total unlike other supernatural creatures, dragons don’t live in a big group in one place. After minutes, I clear my throat.

” I’m looking for someone and my people said they were last seen here,” he raises his eyebrows, curious.

” Who?” He asks.

” A white dragon,” his demeanor stiffens and anger takes over his face before he smiles,

” White dragons don’t exist, at least not in this century,” he simply says, but I heard his heart pace.

” You’re lying,” Ron says, narrowing his gaze on him. I plop into my seat, while Charlie gets up to his pour himself a hard drink. He gulps it then another.

” Can I have one of those,” Kaiser asks, Charlie nods and gives him a drink,

” Gentlemen I’m afraid I will ask you to leave now, I don’t know of any white dragon,” He says calmly.

” Sir, he’s lying, I’m positive the white dragon was here,” Kaiser says seriously.

With inhumane speed, I go jump over his desk, pressing him against the wall and holding him by his neck. Charlie is strong but I’m stronger.

” I’m not- lying,” He chokes, his eyes are redder than usual as he struggles to get free.

” I hate liars, and if you don’t want to leave those dragons without a leader, you’ll tell me all you know about the white dragon,” he shakes his head. His eyes are resolute.

” We don’t want to hurt it, the Prince just-” I shake my head to stop Ron. I release my grip on Charlie and he falls to the ground.

I put a knee in front of him and signal the two men to go outside.

As they do, I face the clan leader with sincerity ” Charlie,”

He looks up at me, his eyes softening. ” I think the white Dragon is my kin and I just want to have a remnant of my bloodline,”

I don’t want them to be alone out there and In my dreams, the little white dragon always made me happy. I think I loved it.

” I can’t, at least not by my mouth. I do want to help you and she needs you too if you are her family,” he says, with sympathy in his tone

He closes his eyes as he realizes his mistake.

” Her,” So it’s a woman.

I get to my feet and give him my hand, he looks at it before taking it. He takes back his seat and I do the same

” There are level one demons after her, so she doesn’t stay in one place for a long time, she’s always on the run,” he explains.

” How did they know about her existence?”

Charlie scratches the back of his head.

” Well, I’m a demon slayer for starters. So, she and I were in Denver last year because they were causing trouble for some of our people,” he gulps his drink again.

” After we killed the demons, we got excited, drunk, and shifted, a demon disguised as a human saw us and told the others,” He finishes explaining.

” Does she come here often?” I ask. He shakes his head negatively,

” Only when um you know,” His cheeks redden a bit in embarrassment

” No, I don’t,”

Charlie sighs, ” When she wants to have a good time with me, man, like um f*****g. She finds a way but I have no contact with her,”

I nod slowly as I ask,

” How is old is she?”

“Twenty-three,” he smiles. One can tell he’s fond of her.

” And how old are you?” I ask, he sighs exasperatedly

“Thirty-one, any more questions, My Prince,” He asks, annoyed. I shake my head.

He checks his time on his wristwatch and gets to his feet. ” We are having a barbecue tonight, join us,”

We go out of the office and I find Ron and Kaiser in the main room, playing Tekken with Tony, the kid’s winning and Ron is complaining. what a loser. Once they notice us, they get to their feet.

” How did it go?” Ron asks.

” Good, it’s a she,” I inform him. He looks at Charlie

” on a scale of 1- 10, how hot is she?”

Charlie and I growl at the same time, taking Ron back as he involuntary takes steps back and raises his hands in surrender.

” The white dragon? She’s a 100! The most beautiful girl in the universe, trust me,” Tony says with a smile, looking at his phone.

” Tony,” Charlie calls. The boy gets to his feet and leaves the room.

” Are you staying for the barbecue?” Charlie asks. I frown and

I shake my head, I don’t want to be away from Amara too long. The boys insist until I concede.

The barbecue begins and is so live, everyone is eating, drinking, and dancing to the music.

It’s 9 pm and the boys are getting too drunk so I decide to leave them.

Charlie walks me up the mountain where I’ll fly from.

I sigh as I take in the cool air

“What’s her name?” I ask the question I’ve been wanting to know. Charlie’s lips stretch into a smile as if thinking of a good memory.

” Amora… Beautiful, Enchanting Amora Chalo,” he sighs, smiling.

With that, I shift and fly, feeling good about the information I learned today.

Amora Chalo, the name is just like my birth father’s name, are we close b***d relatives? I want to meet her.

When I reach the cabin, I go straight to Amara’s room, she’s sound asleep. I sit at the edge of the bed and stroke her hair. She looks so peaceful, she stirs a little and mutters incoherent words. Her eyes slowly begin to flutter open.

” Ahyan?” her voice is groggy.

” yes, go back to sleep,”

” Hmm,” I k**s her forehead and go to my room.
