Amara Pov

” No Ahyan, I know you and all your … habits, I’m not ready to get hurt again as much as my wolf wants you,”

Rhudo howls painfully, not wanting us to reject our mate but It’s for the best, I don’t want to get hurt again, I want a man who will love me with every fiber of his being, and Ahyan is not that man, he said already that he will not love me. He may want to try now but what if he doesn’t anymore and realize he can’t! A tear rolls down my cheek and I wipe it quickly.

” I don’t want a relationship with you anymore,” I sniffle, wiping my tears ” Ahyan, half my life I’ve wanted you to notice me, to like me but you never did. You only talked to me for a bet, a prank to satisfy yourself and prove you can bed any woman you choose!” I shout, I’m trying to calm my erractic heart before continuing ” And even if you lied about the results, it doesn’t change a thing… You lost me,” I look him in the eyes. He looks lost for words, it’s as if what I said just registered and he shakes his head vigorously.

” No, no, no, Amara no just give me a chance,” Ahyan is worried and agitated, cupping my face and his eyes are glistening with unshed tears.

” just leave me alone please, I don’t want any association with you. I want to start anew. A lot has happened already that I wish to forget,”

” I won’t let you leave me, please don’t… I’ll die without you,” I stare at him and I’m tempted to slap him across the face. How can he even speak of dying? I put my hands against his chest, his heart is pounding and I bang my head against his firm chest.

” Don’t ever! Ever, talk about dying Ahyan, I wouldn’t bear it,” I whisper truthfully, crying for good now.

” Then don’t reject me, Amara, I can’t leave withou you. You love me, right? Amara, please don’t avoid me. You know what? Let’s go to the castle, and we’ll talk about it later and I’m not taking no for an answer even if I have to forcefully carry you there. I’ve already talked to mom and dad, they are expecting you to stay with us,” He rasps.

” Breath a second,” I instruct gently. He nods, taking calm breaths.

” The guest suite has been prepared for you, please stay there for as long as you want. No one will bother you and you’ll have someone to help you 24/7, your friends and family can visit whenever except that bastard you call a father who I plan to kill,”

I sigh and think about it a while longer, my wolf is begging me to say yes, and so are Ahyan’s eyes. I don’t want to be close to him though, I meant it when I said I don’t want to have my heart broken into pieces again. I nod, giving into his request and he lets out a sigh of relief. Ahyan grabs my waist and pulls me into an embrace. I don’t hug him back but he doesn’t mind. He k****s my hair and pulls away

“Let’s go,” He says, holding my hands. His phone beeps and I hear him g***n before a frown appears on his face. He picks it up, looking very displeased

” Sophie… Yes, she’s staying here,”

” Why! I prepared a room already for her at my house, I don’t want her seeing you and getting upset,” My best friend says sounding annoyed.

” The infirmary is here, and it will be easier to meet the doctors, don’t make this difficult, or you won’t be allowed on the premises,” He threatens. I scowl. Looking up at him, Ahyan looks at me with a calm expression.

My heartbeat accelerated a bit when grabs my hand and exits the room. The royal infirmary is huge and not far from the castle, we go to another wing and I notice there are guards stationed in every corner, they are bowing to their Prince as we pass.

The castle is huge with multiple rooms that I’ve lost count of, the ceilings are high and every part is neat. They are tall glass windows, a few maids are walking around and bowing. He leads me to a huge white door, a tall thin man walks up to us, his brown eyes are on me then they go to my mate, a smile on his face,

” My Prince, I see our guest is doing well,” His voice is soft, Ahyan only nods and the man claps once, and immediately, a young woman appears.

” This is Sandra, she’ll assist you with all your needs,” The man tells me. I nod and wave, Sandra is petite with heavy blonde hair and blue eyes. She smiles widely at me.

” Hello, I’m at your service!” She sounds enthusiastic. I turn to the Prince, and his expression softens.

” I can find my way around fine, all this is not necessary, Ahyan,” I say softly. Sandra giggles, getting my attention.

” Trust me, my lady, you’ll need me, every member of the Royal family has an assistant,”

” I’m not a member of the Royal family,” I mutter, I feel Ahyan’s eyes on me but I don’t look at him.

The young assistant smiles and proceeds to open the door. Surprisingly, the man whose name I learned was Cullen and the high Butler walk in too.

As soon as I enter, I love it. It’s warm, and cozy with bright colors. The curtains are white and are fully furnished.

” This is the guest suite, there is a salon, a huge bedroom with a walk-in closet, a mini kitchen, and an ensuite bathroom,” She informs us. The salon has a fireplace and white sofas, a small glass table that has a few books on it, and a Flatscreen Tv. We explore the whole apartment and I’m lost for words, it’s too nice and I have a good view of the lake outside.

Sandra and Cullen leave the apartment, leaving me with Ahyan.

There is a silence between us, and I feel him grab my hand, I still don’t turn to him as a tear leaves my eye. Thinking about everything that happens hurts. Without any warning, he gets in bed with me, at first, I flinch and squirm but he wraps an arm over my shoulder, holding me close. He is breathing in my scent and we stay quiet, I hate to admit it but having him this close to me feels good and safe. I close my eyes and for the first time, sleep comes easy in the arms of Ahyan. He’s so… warm.

Ahyan Pov

I’m watching her sleep, she looks beautiful and peaceful. I caress her pretty face. She stirs a little, her lips are slightly part and I’m tempted to k**s her so I do, I don’t know how long I’ve been watching her.

I cover her body with a thick fur blanket before leaving the room. My parents and brother Theo were outside the room, I look at them surprised.

” What are you doing here?” I ask, staring at each one of them.

” We were worried, how is Amara?” Theo asks, he has been away a lot lately, surprisingly not too grumpy.

” She’s fine, just happy she agreed to stay here a while,” I say, relieved. I walk past them but they all follow into the main room, I grab two controllers and begin to play a game, ignoring their gaze on me. I g***n and look up at them

” What now?”

” We want to know what happens now?” I throw away the controllers and stand up, crossing my arms on my chest.

” That’s none of your business, y’all are gossipers but fine, I think she hates me and doesn’t want me as her mate anymore,”

Mom gasps, hand on her chest as she rushes to me, her hands are on my neck as she smiles sadly,

” Are you alright, my baby?” She asks.

” I’m not a baby and I didn’t accept her rejection either, I want to date her mom,” I inform her, she nods and looks back at my father.

” Rayan dated me too,” I raise my gaze at Dad, he only smiles proudly. We sit in the salon as they begin to tell us their story again. Mom was the alpha’s daughter of the pride moon pack, but like all her peers, she didn’t get a wolf at sixteen and for a long time, they didn’t know why. Grandmother Miranda didn’t tell her about being a Dragon to protect her, so the pack elders chose a powerful groom of beta b***d for mom to lead by her side but the piece of s**t betrayed her by sleeping with one of her best friends, Mother almost ended her life but Dad saved her and brought her to The Royal city to recover since Mom had no wolf, she didn’t sense Dad as her soulmate and he didn’t inform her, at first, it was because he didn’t want a mate but later fall in love with her, the human way, their love is stronger and unshakable now.

I smile, watching them k**s and cuddle.

” Eeew, get a room you two?!” Theo closes his eyes, my mom giggles as dad lifts her bridal style and runs at inhumane speed from here.

” Love is such a beautiful thing,” A sultry voice says, my brother’s body goes rigid and I turn to Amora, she looks lovely as always, she smiles at me and I get up to greet her, she holds my cheek and k****s me on the other one

” I thought you went back home,” she sighs and links our arms, and we sit next to each other.

” No, I’ll stay here a while, I like it,” She says, looking at my brother, Theodore only shakes his head and stands up.

” I need a drink,” He says, a smirk making its way on his lips. I squint my eyes, is something going on between these two? He brings a bottle of Hennessy with three small glasses. Theo pours us the brandy and we toast before gulping it. We play music and After a few hours, the two of them are already drunk and dancing. I’m watching my drunk siblings dancing to the music, their dance is sensual and my sister’s body is grinding against my brother, just what the f**k? And since when did Theodore drink this much? And touchy. He is even kissing Amora’s neck, I want to tear my gaze away but I can’t, this is too funny!
