The main hall was being decorated for Christmas with the pack members pitching in. Kiarra had to put in a word and step in for Zion to allow the Creekwood pack to attend the Christmas dinner this year. He didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about it but at least he caved. He could be really stubborn.

Kiarra had come up with how she wanted the place to look and Lisa was making it happen by buying all the decorations and assigning roles. She had planned everything perfect. This Christmas was going to be perfect for her. She was busy gathering the decorations to put on the walls sitting in his lap while he talked to his brothers.

"Oh mom and dad are flying in next week." Samuel announced.

Kiarra froze and turned around to look at Zion wide eyed.

"Your parents are alive?"

"Yes they're alive. Why wouldn't they be?" he asked confused.

She never once heard him contacting them or his brothers so she'd just assumed. As a matter of fact she only heard about them if she asked. It would be interesting to meet his parents, to see where the three of them all came from.

"Mom wanted to come early but they were delayed. Says the vultures took up all the flight seats so she had to reschedule for next week." Daniel put in.

"Thank goodness. I don't see why they have to come for Christmas any way" Zion replied irritatedly and she was trying to keep up with the conversation. Did he not like his parents? What was going on here?

"Be nice, she's probably dying to see you."said Samuel.

He huffed and she heard him swear softly under his breath. He looked very irritated.

"The old woman doesn't have to come here we can video call her for five minutes." his hand tapped hard against the table.

"This is mom we're talking about." Daniel responds

Kiarra gathered her decorations on the table to hang up and kissed him on his cheek.

"Be nice" she whispered.

"I'm always nice" he replied teasingly reaching for her but she swiftly side stepped him to head to the large tree beside the table that everyone was pitching in to decorate. Every now and then she would catch his eye as he stared at her and she smiled feeling the butterflies in her stomach. The tree was half way done.

She was adding the ornaments lost in thought when she felt large warm hands hold her around her waist pulling her in tight. She knew the scent all too well and felt a large body lean into her. His lips kissed her neck and she angrily spun around pulling herself out of his reach. She was instantly repulsed that someone else was touching her besides her mate and her wolf was furious.

As she roughly pushed him away from her a threatening growl went through the main area from Zion and pack members scrambled terrified. All eyes were on her.

Everything she dreaded came to the forefront when she looked up and saw blue eyes. Her heart was stuck in her throat and her knees felt weak from shock. "That's not a good way to welcome your mate is it?"

Castor had been through hell and back to find her and now here she was before him looking even more beautiful and ravishing than ever. The only problem he was having was smelling another's scent on her. His jaw ticked but he was relieved to see her neck bare. Good girl.

"Castor what the hell are you doing here?!" she couldn't hide the nervous tremble in her voice.

Kiarra felt like the room was spinning. The room was now so quiet she could hear a pin drop and she was at the center of it. Her lies unfolding.

Zion was furious but what stopped him dead in his tracks was the Lycan calling her his mate and it was more than apparent she knew him. Daniel glanced at Zion confused confirming he had heard right. What the fuck was going on?

"You didn't think I would find you Kiarra? It's due time you came home. Plus I had to make sure you were safe with a hybrid war now on the horizon."

Zion must not have heard right.

"Kiarra?"

Castor looked at Alpha Zion and it all made sense. The scent she was wearing was his and based on his confused expression his little flower obviously hadn't told him who she was. Stop reading the wrong and incomplete storyline, jo b n ib.com has the correct and complete book. He knew her long enough to know that right now no matter how hard she was trying she was panic stricken and afraid straight down to the core before him. Kiarra pleaded with him with her eyes but Castor took hold of the opportunity before him turning his full attention to the Alpha.

"No!" she firmly told Castor shaking her head to stop him and grabbing his arm. She turned to to Zion but it was too late.

"Zion-" she began to explain but he cut her off.

"Let him talk!" his voice boomed at her.

"Yes Kiarra Reviere, daughter of King Reviere and princess to the beast kingdom. Also mated to me."

Castor replied smiling, enunciating the last part and Kiarra felt everything falling apart around her. The look on Zion's face made her heart shatter to a million pieces. Zion couldn't believe it. No this couldn't be real. There had to be a mix up. But here she was with another man claiming her.

Two men one time

There were shocked whispers from pack members and embarrassment was flooding through her.

"Zion can I talk to you privately?"

"Now you want to talk privately? You had all the time to talk privately!" he said menacingly.

"Please" she looked around the room at all the eyes judging her and back at him.

Castor stood back confidently in the main area as they went to his office. This was easier than he'd thought. She held her head down not looking at anyone until the door closed behind her and they were alone.

"I can explain." she choked out.

"You can explain?"

Zion was seething with rage. It had a familiar tingle of deja vu and he couldn't believe he was going through this twice. The text messages now made sense. It was her phone. Everything fitted together perfectly. He almost wanted to laugh at the betrayal. "I had to. It was the only way to keep you safe and actually get a chance to form a bond with you." her voice was firm.

"And after that?!!"

"1-"

"No we get the first part but after that?! There was no time you could have slipped it in there after that? I was sharing my bed and home not to mention family with a complete stranger!" he was livid and his eyes were almost glowing blue. She had hurt him in the worst way possible.

"Not to mention the pack's safety being compromised once the king learns we've been harboring his daughter here with us."

"Zion please. I'm still the same person."

"Yeah you're a liar." "I'm sorry"

"You know what's the worst part? You looked me dead in the eye and lied to me. You'd never lie to me right? If your lover didn't show up then you would have just continued to take me for a fool. A house together and all this? You really went all out. Didn't you? The guy in a wheelchair is easy to manipulate."

She took his heart and broke it into pieces. Looking at her was tearing him a part. Kiarra swallowed the lump in her throat and finally jolted, her feet feeling like they could work and moved from door to hurriedly walk towards him. She had to convince him that this was real. Her eyes were filled with tears but he pulled back from her.

"No" she shook her head vigorously. How could he believe that? "I love you. I didn't lie about that. I would never lie about that."

"

Is the Lycan ceremony true for Lycans or did you just make that up as well to keep yourself before it was time for you to go?"

" No but-"

He didn't give her a chance as the shock registered on his face. His green eyes paling out before her from the hurt. She hated that she was the cause of this. If only she had spoken the truth but she thought it best at the time. "This isn't love. There is no love in this" he paused looking at her. " I trusted you with everything." his voice sounded defeated.

"I was scared" she croaked out.

"This was never going to work any way. Get out." he said coldly, his face hard as stone. She wanted back the man that was holding her lovingly a few hours ago.

Kiarra couldn't live without him. He had to understand. She shook her head in refusal folding her arms.

"What about us?"

"There's no us. You were a mistake. I will never have anything to do with you. Take your pretty boy and get the fuck out of my pack house. You're dead to me." somehow looking at him she knew he meant it.

"I'm going to fix this" she said softly.

"I said get out!"

Kiarra collided with Samuel as she left the office, her hands shaking and a stifled sob escaping her throat.

"Hey hey hey" he gritted his teeth against seeing her cry.

He pulled back and swiped his large hands across her face wiping away her tears. She quickly pivoted around him and though she felt empty inside she pushed with everything in her so she could head home never looking back.
