Anyone else would have leaped at the opportunity without a second thought. After all, Thomas had already mentioned how much he had sold the other Mystic Drake Teapot for, proving how sincere his offer was. Selling a teapot bought for 10,000 dollars for over 20 million dollars was like a golden ticket to financial freedom.
But Felix shook his head. What he found somewhat amusing was that Mike's supposedly false claim was, in fact, true. The teapot had indeed originated from Henry Davies, the famous teapot maker of the Clearwater era. "Sorry, Mr. Camden, but I plan to give this to an elder. It's not for sale," Felix said.
Thomas noticed Felix's expression didn't waver even when over 20 million dollars was mentioned. Felix obviously didn't care about money, and raising the price further would be futile.
"But I can tell you who will receive this porcelain teapot. It'll be entirely up to him whether he decides to sell it," Felix added.
Thomas saw a glimmer of hope and nodded politely. "Thank you, young man. We're the type who can't resist a good thing when we see it."
Felix mentioned it because he knew he couldn't make decisions on Warren's behalf, and with Wendy showing such respect for Thomas, it was obvious that Thomas had powerful connections. For Warren, getting to know Thomas could be far more valuable than 20 million dollars. "How much do I owe you?" Felix asked.
Thomas deliberately put on a stern expression as he replied, "You're making me sound like a miser. You're Ms. Kinsley's friend. How could I possibly charge you? Besides, you've already told me who the teapot will go to, and that's more than enough." 1
As they stepped out of the shop, Wendy teased, "You might be the only person who isn't tempted by over 20 million dollars."
Felix thought for a moment before replying, "It's connections that truly matter. Money? I can't really speak on that, as I'm not exactly short on it."
At night, Warren gathered with several of his relatives in a lavish private room at Stellaris Hotel. It had been years since his last birthday celebration, and it wouldn't have been right not to include some family.
"Humph! Felix is actually late," Sasha grumbled, still annoyed by the fact that Felix had outshone Ivan.
"Sasha, I bet he's too embarrassed to show up after you saw the gift he bought."
The young man who spoke was Milo Quinton, Sasha's cousin. He had a talent for flattery and always knew what to say to keep Sasha in high spirits, which earned him plenty of favors.
"I love hearing that. You're probably right. If he does show up, I'll make sure he's thoroughly embarrassed!" Sasha declared.
Just then, Felix walked in and handed Warren a gift. "Uncle Warren, happy birthday."
"You brat, I told you just to show up and no need for gifts, but you never listen!" Warren chided.
He was about to set the gift aside when Sasha stepped forward. "Dad, Felix really put a lot of thought into this gift. Why don't you open it? It's your birthday, and if Felix brought it for you, it must be something special." 1/2

Warren frowned. Opening presents before everyone felt a bit improper, even if the giver was someone younger than him.
"Exactly, Warren. Just open it. Felix drives a Rolls-Royce and knows all these wealthy people. I'm curious to see what he's brought."
Sasha's face twisted with a mocking expression, with Nattie backing her up. She was clearly set on making Felix look foolish later.
"It's nothing too fancy, Uncle Warren. Go ahead and open it," Felix said, offering Warren a graceful exit.
As the wrapping fell away, the Mystic Drake Teapot emerged.
"What a beautiful piece!" Warren exclaimed. "Felix, you've really put your heart into this. Judging by the look of it, this must have cost you a pretty penny, didn't it?"
