The phone call had mentioned that Jack's injuries were severe, and Felix had been prepared to rush straight into surgery to save bilin. Yet, here he was at a ward.

"Jack!" One look at his friend lying in the hospital bed told Felix everything he needed to know-aside from some surface wounds, Jack was fine enough to recover at home. "Nurse, what's going on here?" Felix asked, confused.

The nurse smiled, seemingly expecting his question. "Your friend got lucky. A master healer happened to be giving a lecture in our traditional medicine department and rushed over as soon as they heard about the accident." Felix breathed a sigh of relief, glad his best friend was okay. He had been absolutely terrified during the drive over.

"Do you know what caused the accident?" he asked the nurse.

The nurse nodded and explained, "A drunk driver hit your friend's car. The driver died instantly. Only Mr. Graham and one passenger from the other car made it to the hospital with serious injuries."

Felix was shocked to hear that the person was drunk driving at such an early hour. It was clear that he must have been drinking all night. It was simply reckless.

"Could you tell me where this master healer is? I'd like to thank them personally," Felix said, deeply indebted to whoever saved Jack's life.

"They're treating the other accident victim in the next room. If you wait outside, you

should be able to catch them."

Felix waited by the door of the neighboring VIP ward for about 30 minutes before it finally opened. Several doctors in white coats emerged first, looking like senior staff or specialists. "Dr. Morgan's skills are absolutely incredible," one commented.

Another chimed in, "Indeed! Even with such severe injuries, Dr. Morgan managed to treat the patient so easily. I wouldn't have been confident about the outcome in the operating room."

"Also, Dr. Morgan is still so young. Even though I practice modern medicine, I must admit that our country's traditional medicine has a promising future."

Felix's expression turned curious as he watched them pass, and sure enough, Zara walked out next. He realized the master healer the nurse mentioned must have been her. "Felix?" Zara looked equally surprised to see him.

"Can we talk?"

"Sure," Zara replied. Then, they moved to the sitting area in Jack's ward, where Zara exclaimed, "What a coincidence! I had no idea Jack was your close friend!"

Felix chuckled. "Right? Thank you so much. I don't know if I would have made it here in time otherwise."

Zara waved off his thanks, looking slightly tired. "My mentor always taught me to help those in need. That's why I sometimes give lectures on traditional medicine at hospitals around Dragonia. When emergencies like this happen, I can't just stand by and watch." After chatting for a while, Zara's phone rang. She replied to the message and said to Felix, "My friend's here to pick me up for lunch. Felix, your friend will wake up in a few hours. Once I'm settled in Avesburgh, you won't ignore me, are you?"

"How could I?" Felix laughed. "Dinner's on me tonight-whatever you want. Come on, I'll walk you'down."

While they had only been casual acquaintances before, things were different now since she had saved Jack's life. Hence, Felix needed to thank her on Jack's behalf.

In the parking garage, a young man was leaning against a BMW. When he saw Zara, he smiled. However, his gaze froze when he saw Felix, and he blurted out, "Felix?"
