The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection
Billionaire With Husband 362

Chapter 362

At Yardley Dining, Felix entered the private room to find George already sipping on some soup.

"Don't mind me, Mr. Zeller. I just couldn't resist having a couple of spoonfuls," George said.

Felix made no comment. Seeming frustrated, he asked, "Did we really have to have lunch together at noon?"

"Of course! After the concert, I'm heading back to Yartford tonight. You have no idea when you'll return to Yartford, so we need to catch up!" George replied.

Then, as if remembering something, he added, "I have a friend coming too. Someone I consider a brother. His background is even more prominent than mine. Is that alright with you?"

Felix picked up the bowl in front of him and took a sip before responding, "Since you've already decided for me, what can I say?"

He knew George meant well. After all, anyone George regarded as a close brother had to be someone significant. Besides, having more friends meant more connections.

But although the world was supposed to work that way, Felix felt that the more people he knew since leaving Eden Village, the more trouble he seemed to attract.

A few minutes later, a young man strode in. He moved with an air of confidence that suggested he was a martial artist, his large frame towering over six feet and seven inches. "George, I'm late. You don't mind, do you?"

Felix found it odd that someone would even ask such a question.

Meanwhile, George laughed and said, "No problem! Who would dare mind? Let me introduce you.

"Felix, this is Ryan Gibson, my close friend."

Ryan tightened his grip as they shook hands, causing Felix to frown slightly.

"Why are you doing this?" Felix asked.

Ryan grinned. "I just wanted to see if you are worthy to shake hands with me."

George felt a hint of unease. Despite Ryan's boisterous nature, he wouldn't intentionally provoke someone he had just met, especially in his presence.

"Hey Ryan, I think you've crossed the line a little," George said.

Letting go of Felix's hand, Ryan sat down in a chair and downed the soup that had just

"No lines have been crossed. Those guys look down on you, Mr. Zeller, but I'm curious about you. If George hadn't mentioned that you would be here, I wouldn't have bothered coming today."

Felix sensed something was off and looked at Ryan. "Okay, then I have to ask. What's a big shot like you interested in me for?"

George shared his confusion, throwing his hands up to indicate his innocence.

"All secrets eventually get out. It all depends on how much effort you want to spend investigating. The truth is, Felix, you've long been on our radar. But like I said, those guys are so full of themselves that they consider you trash and don't even bother eliminating you.

"However, I take all my opponents seriously. I'm here today because of George, and I'm giving you a chance, so consider this a warning."

Although feeling increasingly confused, Felix laughed. "Oh? I'm very interested in knowing what warning you have for me."

Just as George was about to speak, Felix subtly gestured for him to hold back. He understood that George hadn't set him up. He, too, was surprised by Ryan's behavior.

Raising his hand, the smile faded from Ryan's face.

"When Yvonne went to Avesburgh, your name appeared in several places, including mine! My warning is simple-no matter how interested Lady Nala is in you, you'd better disappear and keep your distance from her.

"The farther away, the better. The others may think you're no threat, but I won't waste a second warning on you," Ryan sneered.
