"Do you really mean it?" Xena's eyes revealed nothing about what she was truly thinking.

Jaden nodded. "Of course. Our sect leader and Supreme Elder are here as witnesses."

Cecil added, "Indeed. Jaden brought him in, and according to our sect's rules, he has absolute authority over how he wants to deal with Felix."

As Xena was about to speak, Felix cut in, "Get out of here, Xena! I don't need a woman sacrificing herself to save me."

When Xena tried to respond, Felix roared with veins bulging in his neck, "Damn it! I said get out! Right now!"

Xena finally turned to Felix and smiled. Her smile was so enchanting that everyone, including Jaden, was mesmerized.

"There were many misunderstandings between us in the past. Even though I still believe I wasn't wrong, I've always felt bad about how things went. So let me do something meaningful for you this time." As her smile faded, Xena spoke softly, "Release Felix, and I'll marry you."

"Release him!"

Just as Jaden was savoring his victory, a commanding voice rang out. Everyone turned to see two elderly men entering the courtyard. Their expressions were dark with anger, as if they were ready to fight.

If anyone else had dared to barge into Crimson Sage Sect in this manner, they would have been killed immediately. But these two made even Cecil's expression fall. "Wesley? Xander?"

He was right. It was Xander and Wesley, who ranked tenth and fifth among Dragonia's top master healers. Such renowned healers like them would command respect wherever they go. "Well, what brings such distinguished guests to our humble sect?" Wesley glared at him as his mustache quivered with anger. "Cut the pleasantries! Cecil, release Felix."

Cecil frowned"Surely you'll provide a reasonable explanation, won't you?"

Xander snorted coldly. "Felix is a master healer whose skills surpass even ours. He risked his own life to save over a dozen children! What right does Crimson Sage Sect have to judge such a noble healer? Release him immediately!" Jaden's expression turned even more sour. So Zara had been telling the truth. Even two top-ranked master healers had personally come to Felix's aid.

Xena saw a glimmer of hope as well. Without evidence, she could not use her authority and would have had to give in to Jaden's demands to save Felix. But now, the tide finally seemed to be turning.

"Felix killed one of our disciples, so he has to pay for it with his own life. Does being a master healer grant immunity from murder?"

Wesley fixed him with an icy stare. "How dare a kid from Crimson Sage Sect like you speak? Know your place! Felix risked his own life to save the children. Why would he randomly kill someone without reason?"

Xander stepped forward. "Release him, or Crimson Sage Sect will bear all consequences!"

At this, Cecil's aura surged as his voice echoed across the courtyard. "Did you think Crimson Sage Sect is just for show? If you two think you can force our hand, you're wrong!"
