The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
Billionaire With Husband 421
Chapter 421
"You'll do it instead?" Averill sized up Zara, silently musing to herself.
While Zara was a little ugly, Averill figured all that mattered was if she could save Felix's life. If Zara hadn't shown up, Averill would have done it, even though she cherished her own first time. After all, Felix's life was the most important.
However, she had to admit Felix's charm. Zara might not be much to look at, but she was still a woman. Since she volunteered herself, it meant she was at least somewhat willing. What other reason could there be?
"Don't get the wrong idea. I-I'm not suggesting anything like that!" Zara stammered, waving her hands as Averill stared at her. She figured that she'd gotten the wrong impression.
"What do
you mean?"
"I mean, I have a special acupuncture technique that can remove the poison in Felix's body. However, I'd need you to get that other woman out of here first. The poison's coming from her, and if I try to block it, I won't be able to concentrate on the treatment." Nodding, Averill promptly tossed the woman onto the roof for the time being, planning to grab her on the way out.
"If it's just acupuncture, why are you blushing?"
Already preparing the room, Zara realized she had to clarify, or the misunderstanding would get even worse.
"Well, for this technique to work, Felix has to imagine a woman... doing that sort of thing with him. It's all in his mind, but it'll have the same effect. I can guarantee it."
Averill's confusion only deepened. "Well, since it's only his imagination, why are you blushing?"
Zara looked like she was about to cry. Why did Averill have so many questions?
"This acupuncture technique is... very unusual. I have to be involved the entire time, so even though it's only a mental image, I'll... see everything he imagines, as if I'm actually part of it." Averill finally understood the situation. Since Zara was clearly inexperienced, it made sense that she'd feel shy about being involved in something like that.
"Alright. Please
go
ahead with the treatment. I'll step out."
About half an hour later, Zara came out of the room. With Averill's keen senses, she could tell at a glance that Zara's legs were a bit shaky, making her question if everything only

happened in Felix's imagination. It looked like she'd been through a battle. "Felix is better now, miss," Zara said. "He should wake up in a couple of hours. I'll head out now." "Thank you, Zara. I'll make sure he knows how much he owes you for this," Averill said happily, relieved that she'd managed to preserve the best for when Felix could fully appreciate it. Time passed, and soon, Felix's eyes fluttered open, looking a bit dazed.
"Are you finally awake, dummy?"
Hearing Averill's voice, Felix quickly asked, "Did something happen, Averill? I don't remember anything."
Averill's face held a mischievous expression. "Oh, something definitely happened. It was... quite amusing. Somebody was all over me like a wild animal. That someone almost tore my clothes off." "Huh?" Felix wracked his brain, horrified. "Oh, my God! D-Did I actually... do something to you that I shouldn't have?"
Seeing how serious he looked, Averill decided to let him off the hook. "Nope! Luckily, Zara showed up in time."
Hearing the whole story, Felix sighed in relief. For a moment, he thought he'd done something irreversible. Then, Averill grew curious. "Zara said you imagined a woman. Don't you remember anything?"
Felix fell silent. How could he not remember?
"I remember. It was like a dream. However, it was way too vivid."
In an instant, Averill's curiosity flared up. "So, what was the woman in your imagination like?"
