The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
Billionaire With Husband 499
Chapter 499
That night, at Xena's home, Curtis was fuming as he sat on the couch. The doorbell rang again, and he roared in anger. "Turn it off!"
The maid walked over helplessly. This thing had rung at least a dozen times, and it was really starting to drive her mad.
As soon as she disabled it, the doorbell rang again in no time.
Curtis rushed over and answered the call, shouting. "Felix! If you dare to do this again, I'll call the police!"
It was Felix, standing at the gate and repeatedly pressing the doorbell.
"Mr. Summers Senior, just let me come in and see you. I promise I won't show up again after this. If you don't let me in, I'll keep pressing the doorbell."
After a moment's hesitation, Curtis opened the gate and walked out. He pointed at Felix, who had just stepped into the yard.
"Stay right there! Just seeing you makes me sick. If you have anything to say, spit it out quickly!"
Ever since the kidnapping incident, he had developed an extreme dislike for Felix. His fear of death during that time, combined with Felix's previously arrogant attitude, only made him more infuriated. Honestly, he never expected Felix to have the nerve to come back and find him.
"This is a friend of mine. I came here to introduce disguise techniques in Dragonia to you," Felix said, not wasting time.
Curtis, who had a granddaughter involved in extraordinary matters, was no stranger to the world of martial artists.
"I'm not interested. What? Are you trying to say that the person who kidnapped me that day wasn't you, but someone deliberately disguised as you?" Curtis scoffed.
"That's correct," Felix replied, knowing that Curtis wasn't in the mood to chat.
He gestured with his right hand, signaling the young man standing beside him. The young man swiftly tore something at his neck and transformed into an old man. He was none other than Seven from Flair.
Curtis was left speechless. He had just watched an ordinary young man of Felix's age suddenly turn into an old man. He wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't seen it with his
own eyes.

"Hmph! Do you think I'll believe you just because of this? Can you change your voice as well?" Curtis sneered.
Without needing Felix to speak, Seven nodded. "Yes."
The voice was now an old, raspy tone, and it shocked Curtis even further.
Next, the voice shifted again, this time to a sharp, feminine tone. "Many martial artists who practice certain secret techniques can change their voices at will. As long as I hear someone's voice a few times, I can mimic it perfectly." Seeing that Curtis had fallen silent, Felix pressed on. "There are even more powerful techniques, where a person's entire appearance-bones, skin, and even height-can change. They can become a completely different person.
"The person who was beside you that day, who looked like me, must have used a similar technique."
Felix felt helpless. If he didn't convince Curtis, Xena would never be willing to go any further with him.
After a long pause, Curtis waved his hand. "Get lost. Don't come back again! I don't believe in such coincidences. Even though you've shown all this, it still doesn't explain why I couldn't reach you on your phone, or why you weren't in Canraville that day." Clearly, Xena had told him all the details, and the old man remembered them so clearly, probably because of his deep hatred.
"Well, about that-" Felix started to explain, but before he could finish, the door was slammed shut with a loud thud.
"That old man really is stubborn!" Seven couldn't help but remark. For someone of Felix's status to go to such lengths was practically a miracle. Yet, Curtis refused to relent.
