"Who the hell's trying to play hero now?" Damon turned around, and his face immediately dropped. "Dr... Dr. Leonard?"

Murmurs rippled through the crowd. "Isn't that the specialist from Mercy Hospital, Leonard Ziegler?"

"It really is! Just last month, I waited two weeks to get an appointment with him for my mom."

"Could this young man be some kind of medical prodigy? Even someone like Dr. Leonard is vouching for him."

Clearly, Damon recognized Leonard and started stammering, "W-Well... if Dr. Leonard vouches for him, I have no objections."

Felix was puzzled. He did not know Leonard. Given his own young age, it also seemed incredible that such a distinguished expert in modern medicine would vouch for a stranger in a life-or-death situation. Nevertheless, saving Arthur was the priority. Felix immediately began the acupuncture treatment. Within minutes, Arthur opened his eyes and managed to stand up with Felix's help.

"Dad!" Damon exclaimed joyfully. The onlookers were amazed. A few silver needles and the man was saved in mere minutes. It was like witnessing a miracle.

"I'm fine now. Let's go," Arthur said.

Damon was unwilling to let this matter go. "Go Dad, she hit you! Even though her friend saved you, that doesn't change the fact she ran into you. And who knows if there'll be complications?"

Arthur glared at his son and said, "I know my own body. After this brush with death, I'm never pulling scams like this again. Let's go.

As the crowd dispersed, Felix approached Leonard. "Dr. Leonard, why did you vouch for me?"

Leonard smiled and said, "Do you remember William Ziegler?",

William? Wasn't he the chairman of Traditional Medicine Association? The connection suddenly clicked for Felix. "Are you and Mr. Ziegler..."

Felix understood now but still smiled wryly. "That was quite a risk you took. I never demonstrated any medical skills during that event, yet you bet that I could save that old man."

Leonard laughed. "In medicine, confidence is everything! I saw it in your eyes. You had both the ability and absolute certainty to save him. This wasn't a gamble. I was just backing you up to save a life."

Impressive! Felix could not help but admire Leonard. "Thank you, Dr. Leonard."

"Let's exchange numbers. I might need your expertise on difficult cases in the future."

After Leonard left, Felix picked up the electric scooter and turned to the dumbstruck Nancy. "Are you okay?"

He had been driving by when he spotted Nancy. Usually, he would avoid getting involved. But when it came to matters of life and death, how could he ignore it? "We're friends, so there's no need for thanks. Just take a cab home. I'll have Vanessa deliver your scooter to you later. You're in no condition to ride right now.'

He had done all he could. He did not even dare offer her a ride home himself.

When he got home, he found a knife stuck in his door with a white note beneath it. There was a brief message written on it.
