The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection
Billionaire With Husband 515

Chapter 515

Timothy stood frozen in shock. Felix had severed both of Dexter's legs with just a flick of his finger, leaving the notorious criminal barely clinging to life with just his upper body.

At that moment, Timothy understood something. Felix had to have achieved the Innate Realm. Nothing else explained such overwhelming power.

Good God, wasn't Felix just supposed to be a traditional medicine practitioner? Sure, the best practitioners train in both medicine and martial arts, but this is ridiculous!

"Perhaps this is your destiny." Felix gazed into Solomon's struggling eyes before striking with his palm. In that final moment, Solomon managed to smile. It was rigid and unnatural but filled with unmistakable relief.

"Mr. Hunter, would you call this self-defense?" Felix asked.

Timothy let out a bitter laugh, his demeanor now completely different from their first meeting. "Absolutely."

With one step, Felix sent Dexter's four zombie warriors flying, never to rise again. Timothy's men rushed to his side and whispered, "Mr. Hunter, who is he? He's so powerful at such a young age. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I'd think I was dreaming." Timothy seemed helpless. "How would I know? The kid's a monster!"

Timothy wondered how the others would react if they knew his medical skills were just as insane. Felix now stood over Dexter's mutilated form. "Were you the one who did this to Solomon?"

Strangely, no blood flowed from Dexter's severed legs. Only occasional flickers of pain across his face revealed his suffering.

"Felix, who could have guessed you'd reached the Innate Realm? Those fools at the Elders' Council thought Solomon's zombie powers from the Ultimate Mortal Realm would be enough to finish you."

Without waiting for Felix's response, Dexter continued, "I might as well tell you everything since I'm done for anyway.

"You may be talented, but the Council's attention means death, sooner or later. When Solomon first challenged you, they knew you wouldn't kill him. They wanted you to think he was just a martial arts fanatic who believed in fair fights. Then, when he challenged you again, you wouldn't suspect anything.

"That was supposed to be a perfect trap. Too bad they underestimated your incredible talent."

Solomon plus four zombies should have been enough to kill anyone, even if they had

achieved the Ultimate Mortal Realm. The Innate Realm was supposed to be nearly impossible to reach. Even lifelong martial artists rarely achieved it, let alone someone so

young.

Felix turned away without another word. He had thought the Elders' Council had some honor, but they had proved to be utterly treacherous. Still, no matter how obsessed Solomon was with martial arts, he would not have staked his life on a stranger's moral character. That would have been foolish.

"Felix," Timothy called out suddenly.

"Is there anything else?"

"Well... Dexter was the Jack of Hearts of the Thirteen Aces. As for the reward, I'm not one to claim unearned credit. I'll report everything to headquarters accurately."

So Dexter was one of the Thirteen Aces? Felix could not help but smile. "In that case, I assume Xena knows about your operation here at Eastern Mountain, doesn't she?"

Xena? Timothy was taken aback. He was confused about what Xena had anything to do with this.
