In Canraville, just as Felix was about to head out for a quick dinner, his phone rang, When he realized it was Xena, he quickly answered, "Hey, Xena."

"Are you free? Come over for dinner at our place," she invited.

Felix thought he had misheard. Based on their situation now, having dinner together outside would make more sense. He asked, "Is Mr. Summers Senior not there?"

Xena's response filled Felix with joy. "Actually, Grandpa's the one who asked me to invite you."

Felix was stunned to hear Curtis' sudden change of heart. Nonetheless, it was definitely a positive development.

"I'll be right there!" Felix rushed to his garage and jumped into his Range Rover, speeding

off toward their house.

With Madam Spring's mysterious "gift" lingering over him like a ticking time bomb, any progress toward resolving it was enough to lift his spirits.

When he arrived, Xena opened the door, and sure enough, Curtis was sitting on the couch.

"Mr. Summers Senior," Felix greeted.

Curtis looked up with a smile. "Felix, come in and have a seat.'

Felix could see the joy in Xena's eyes at Curtis' apparent acceptance. She seemed genuinely pleased that Curtis had finally come around, especially since Felix had proven- himself to be exceptional, aside from that one incident. Xena prepared dinner herself, and they chatted casually while waiting for the food to be ready.

"I'll be right back. There's something I need to get," Curtis said as he headed upstairs.

As soon as he left, Felix leaned toward Xena, whispering, "What made him change his mind all of a sudden?"

Xena rolled her eyes. "Why does it matter? Aren't you happy about this?"

"Of course I am! I'm just curious," he replied, wondering if perhaps Dalton had something to do with it.

Minutes later, Curtis returned and slammed a small axe onto the table, his earlier warmth completely gone.

"Grandpa, what are you doing?" Xena jumped up in horror, clearly caught off guard by his

action.

Ignoring his Xena, Curtis fixed his gaze on Felix. "You claimed someone impersonated you during that abduction, right? And you're not a coward, correct? Prove it to me."

Felix frowned and stood up. "Mr. Summers Senior, I'm not sure what you mean by this."

When Xena tried to speak, Curtis silenced her with a roar. "Shut up! Say another word, and I'll disown you!"

He turned back to Felix. "It's simple. Chop off your hand in front of us, and I'll believe you're not a coward. Then, we can put that incident behind us."

"Chop off his hand?" Xena gasped, terrified by Curtis' transformation. "Grandpa, this is insane! It's illegal, and I won't let it happen!"

Curtis pointed at her and smirked. "Is it? I'm not forcing him. If he does it willingly, how is that a crime? Well, Felix? Do you have the courage to prove yourself?"

Felix slowly picked up the axe, his eyes flickering with emotion. Then, he brought it down with force.

"No!" Xena covered her mouth in horror while Curtis watched intently.

But the axe landed on the table instead of Felix's hand.
