The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
With Husband 613
Chapter 613
The commanding voice caught Yates off guard,
A middle-aged man sitting among the group shot to his feet, his face drenched in sweat. He said, "Mr. Jordan, I'll go check it out!"
This man was Jonathan. With such esteemed guests present, an outburst like this was unacceptable. No one could bear the consequences if Yates, the Supreme Elder, lost his temper.
"Go ahead," Yates replied, his smile returning. "It's just a minor issue. Don't let it ruin the mood."
The guests, all seasoned figures in the martial world, remained unfazed. Every organization had its troubles, after all. The intruder's grudge was with Jonathan specifically, and given this was Polaris' headquarters, the issue would surely be handled swiftly. Yates turned to Uzziah, steering the conversation back on track. "I heard the leadership of the Eight Great Martial Families has shifted. The Rubies have been knocked down from the top spot?"
Uzziah nodded. "Yes, a significant change. Those young ones always report back to me on matters like this. I've heard about a prodigy from the Jacobs family who's finally come into his own.
"You know how the rankings work-the families rise and fall based on the talent of the younger generation, and no one could stop that boy's rise."
Titus chimed in with a knowing nod. "You're talking about Mason, aren't you? That kid's incredible-his talent is unheard of.
"He's already reached the Innate Realm at such a young age. The Ruby family stepping down to second place seems permanent now. There's no catching up to Mason."
Yates' eyes gleamed with interest. "The Innate Realm? My goodness, the Jacobs family is surely blessed! It's clear we're getting old. The future belongs to the young."
Thaddeus suddenly remembered something and leaned forward. "Mr. Crayden, I heard some news recently. Is it true that the Elders' Council of the Eight Great Martial Families is changing its name?" Uzziah seemed taken aback by the question but eventually gave a reluctant nod. "Yes, it's true. A few days ago, someone appeared-a mysterious figure with strength beyond comprehension. "They claimed we didn't have the right to call ourselves the Elders' Council. They gave us three days to change the name or face destruction.

He added, "What else could we do? You can't fight someone like that. It's now called the Ancient Council.'
The guests exchanged baffled looks, their expressions mixed with disbelief and amusement. A name dispute over qualifications was absurd yet somehow fascinating.
"Sir!" A voice cut through the moment. A man burst into the hall-one of the elders who had accompanied Jonathan outside. His face was pale, and his expression was grim.
The sect leader seemed to anticipate bad news and began rising from his seat, but Yates. waved him back down.
He stated, "Speak freely. There's no need to keep making fools of yourselves. What is it? Can't you handle the loudmouth outside?"
The elder looked deeply embarrassed, clearly aware of the shame he was bringing to Polaris in front of their esteemed guests. Nonetheless, with Yates prompting him, he dared not hold back. He stammered, "M-Mr. Jordan, we couldn't deal with him. None of us were a match for
him."
Yates' expression darkened slightly. The elders who had gone out were all martial masters of the highest caliber, yet they had failed.
"All of you, go take care of it," Yates ordered. "If possible, capture him alive and figure out/ what's happening. Remember, Polaris prides itself on being a righteous sect. Show some decency." "Understood!"
With that, the sect leader, deputy leader, and remaining elders filed out. Watching them leave, Yates let out a weary sigh.
"It's true what they say-each generation is weaker than the last. And when I think about Mason already stepping into the Innate Realm, it only makes it clearer how far behind we are. We can't even handle a troublemaker at our own doorstep. What a disgrace." Thaddeus hesitated for a moment, then glanced at Titus before offering, "Would you like me to go take a look?"
Yates shook his head firmly. "No need. If Polaris can't handle something this minor, we might as well shut our doors for good. There's no need for Martial Alliance to intervene." Yates was confident. After all, their sect leader was an Aetherial Realm master-one of the strongest in the region. For Polaris, ranked fifth among the great sects, resolving this issue should be a matter of routine. At least, that was what Yates firmly believed.
