Chapter 652

"Thank you, Mr. Summers Senior. I won't give up," Felix said.

Within just an hour, Felix had tracked down the pen pal who went by the nickname "Sunset". They lived in Gray City.

"Felix, what brings you here to visit me?"

Felix had shown up at Ernest's house that afternoon with some gifts. "I'm leaving Canraville for a while, and I might be gone for quite some time. I wanted to see you before I go." Leaving?

Ernest was not too surprised. Young people, especially talented ones like Felix, rarely stayed in one city forever. "That's thoughtful of you."

Felix hesitated before continuing, "I won't be saying goodbye to Sherlyn in person, so please let her know that I'm leaving. Also, please tell her she should live her life-I'm not worth waiting for." Ernest gave a knowing smile. "Don't worry about her. She's got a good head on her shoulders. When she really feels there's no hope left, she'll move on."

Around 5:00 pm, Jack and Vanessa arrived at a restaurant in Canraville.

"You're leaving Canraville?" Vanessa was quite surprised by the sudden news.

"Yeah, this guy dragged me to the realtor's office this afternoon to transfer his villa to my name." Rolling his eyes, Jack was the one who answered her instead. "Since you two are getting married soon, consider it my wedding gift. It's too big for just me anyway."

A condo as a wedding gift? People would be shocked if they knew. "Well, I won't refuse, then. It'd take years for me to afford a place like that even with my high salary."

Jack had only agreed to the transfer because he knew Felix could afford such generosity. If not, Jack would not have followed him this afternoon and gotten the transfer done. "Where are you headed, Felix? Overseas?"

Felix smiled. "Gray City."

Vanessa was just asking out of curiosity. After all, Felix was successful enough to go anywhere he pleased without anyone's help. "Don't forget to come to our wedding!"

led "He'd better not miss it."

Chapter 652

Just then, Wendy arrived, leaving Jack stunned. "Ms. Kinsley? Weren't you at the conference in Yartford?"

Vanessa pinched Jack's side hard. "Would it kill you to keep, quiet?"

Couldn't this idiot tell that Wendy was interested in Felix? It was so obvious.

"Have a seat.

Wendy had indeed flown to Yartford that morning. But she immediately hopped on a return flight when Felix invited her to dinner. Nothing was more important than him." Gray City? That's a nice place. I've been there a few times." They had dinner till around 7:00 pm.

After that, Felix left for Eastern Mountain. He had not forgotten about killing Sarah. He arrived 20 minutes early at the peak, but Sarah was nowhere to be seen.

"Is that old fart trying to fool me?"

He thought about it, but it seemed unlikely. Despite her faults, Sarah was respected among their circles and would not possibly stoop so low. She had never taken Felix seriously anyway.

After 15 minutes, Felix frowned as a voice broke the silence, "Looking for Sarah? Sorry, but she won't be coming. Her inviting you here was actually helping us out."

Surveying his surroundings, Felix clenched and unclenched his fists. "The Elders' Council sure is persistent. You can probably take down an entire sect with this setup." Chapter 653
