Felix pursued them while dodging sniper fire. The five masters had escaped in all directions, but he could not possibly leave any survivors. Only by killing them could he intimidate the Council and stop them from any future attacks. Two miles away, Sarah lowered her binoculars and shook her head. "Pack up and leave if you want to live. At his speed, he'll be here soon."

At this rate, he would surpass her in no time. "Better not. Even if that old fool Dr. Hoffman stays out of it, those two women would hunt me relentlessly."

Minutes after they left, Felix arrived. "Have they gotten away?"

On his way back, his phone rang. It was an unknown number. He wished it was Gerald since he had so much to vent about after dealing with Sarah.
