The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection
Billionaire With Husband 669

Chapter 669

Xena nodded slowly. "Of course, I've heard of them! Everyone who joins gets that training at headquarters.

"How could anyone not know about the legendary Chief Commander? But what does this have to do with Felix?"

She had tried calling Conan earlier, but he had been too scared to say anything. Hence, she was now questioning Alistair.

"The legendary Chief Commander appeared today-she's Felix's senior," Alistair

explained. "One call to Hugh, and within minutes, they discovered the forensics team had falsified everything on the phone."

"What?" Xena shot up from her chair. "Are you absolutely certain Felix's senior is the legendary Chief Commander?"

Though Alistair only responded with a telling look, she knew it was true. The news was absolutely staggering-this connection was far more significant than knowing any warlord.

"Based on Mr. Spade's reaction, the Chief Commander hasn't aged a day," Alistair added thoughtfully.

Xena gave a bitter laugh. "Of course not. One can only imagine the capabilities of someone powerful enough to become the headquarters' Chief Commander and achieve such legendary status. You can go now." After contemplating alone for a long while, Xena finally smiled wryly. "Felix, are you trying to impress me? Making me regret breaking up with you?

"Well, you're wrong. I'll never forgive you for hurting me, Chief Commander connection or

not."

The new day had arrived, and Felix began arranging two freshly delivered flower baskets by the clinic's entrance. They were from Nelly, and he had to admit, they made the place look much better than leaving it bare.

The clinic's name had also been updated-it was now called Tranquil Clinic, the same name he had used for the one he ran in Eden Village for three years.

"Congratulations on the new business, Mr. Zeller," Nelly said, appearing with additional

items.

Felix smiled. "You already sent flowers. There's no need for more gifts. Besides, as a traditional medicine clinic, less business means healthier people. Chapter 669

Nelly paused before understanding his meaning. "I'm impressed by your philosophy, Mr. Zeller."

It was true-whether it was a clinic or a hospital, fewer profits meant fewer sick people. That logic made perfect sense.

"Come on in and have a seat," Felix offered casually.

Suddenly, a Porsche 718 pulled up. Felix recognized it as belonging to Huxley, the rich kid. Two vans followed, and over a dozen tough-looking guys with tattoos poured out.

"Aren't I nice? Bringing so many people to celebrate your opening!" Huxley smirked as his men lined up menacingly on either side of Tranquil Clinic.

At the sight of the burly men, those who were interested in coming in to inquire about the clinic instantly lost the courage to do so. It was obvious that Huxley and his men were not coming to congratulate but to cause trouble, scaring away Felix's potential customers. "Very nice indeed," Felix replied calmly.

He was unbothered since the clinic was mainly to show Willow what kind of work he did. Whether or not he got customers did not matter to him at all.

However, Nelly had had enough of Huxley's targeting. "Mr. Linton, please stop this," she pleaded.

Huxley gave her a cold smile. "Sure thing. Weren't you always playing hard to get when I pursued you? Are you worried now?

"Is it because Felix is better looking than me, or is he richer? Since you asked, I'll give you a deal-have dinner and karaoke with me tonight, and I'll leave his clinic alone."
