No one expected Felix to be so harsh toward Craig. Even Xena was startled.

"You!" Craig's expression darkened; no one had ever dared treat him this way. It was utterly humiliating.

"Get out of my clinic! Now!" Felix would not have gone this far if Craig had apologized earlier. But now he was only apologizing because he realized it was the Seven Points of Transcendence. That was too late! "Hmph!" It would be too humiliating for Craig to stay there, so he turned and stormed out. Only Xena remained.

"You went too far. Craig holds a high position at headquarters."

Felix's smile returned. "Don't worry. I couldn't care less about trash like him."

Before Xena could respond, she remembered something. Their legendary Chief

Commander was Felix's fellow apprentice. If Craig tried to use his position against Felix, he would be fighting a losing battle.

"Got it. Anyway, thank you for everything," Xena said.

Felix pointed to his cheek with a chuckle. "If you want to thank me, how about another kiss?"

"You jerk!" she snapped before leaving. Felix chuckled to himself. After today's events, he knew that his chances of reconciliation would be very high if Willow were willing to speak up for him.

As for the Necrobound, which was nearly evolving into a Skybound Revenant, that was not his problem.

Just as he was closing the clinic and about to drive home, Felix spotted Clement entering a small restaurant only a few doors down. Felix had eaten there before.

Despite the size of the restaurant, the food was excellent. Most shop owners in the area went there for lunch. Felix went in without hesitation. "Lance, I'll have the fries, steak, and

pasta."

"Hey, Felix! Closing the clinic late today?" The earlier lockdown had been kept strictly confidential. No one knew what had happened, let alone the fact that it involved Tranquil Clinic.

"Felix?" Sitting at the next table, Clement looked up from his table when he heard Felix's voice. He looked surprised too.

"Oh, hey, what brings you here alone?" Felix asked in mock surprise.

Clement waved him over. "You should join me. I was just thinking it's boring drinking alone. Do you have time for a few drinks?" There was a bottle of premium liquor on the table. Felix sat down across from him. "Sure, I've got nothing else going on anyway." After the food arrived, Felix had a few drinks before asking, "Something seems to be bothering you. Do you want to talk about it?" Clement shook his head and took another drink "It's nothing, just company troubles. Talking about it will only make it worse. Come on, let's drink!"

Two hours later, Felix was helping a drunk Clement to his front door when Willow rushed 'out. "He's just drunk, don't worry."

With worry in her eyes, Willow quickly said, "Could you help me get him to bed? I'm not strong enough."

"Of course!"

After settling Clement in, they went downstairs where Willow poured some tea. "Here, Felix. This will help with the alcohol. I'm so glad he was with you. I was worried sick when he wouldn't answer his phone or texts." Willow looked quite troubled too.

"What's really going on? We're neighbors. If there's anything I can help with, just say the word," Felix said.

Willow managed a weak smile. "You can't help with this one. It's a company issue. We have cash flow problems, so he tried getting a bank loan, but banks these days are too shrewd.

"When our business is doing well, they beg us to take loans. But they act differently when it's struggling. Hah!"
