So that was part of it. If she could recognize Ralph by his footsteps, her abilities weren't to be doubted. Sometimes, what the ears heard was more reliable than what the eyes could see.

"This is your room. Grace sleeps in the outer room. I'll take my leave," Ralph said.

Hope spoke without thinking. "Is there just one bed?"
